After I finished writing my Brothers in Blue series, someone suggested I write Teddy’s story, since he is a fan favorite. Teddy’s story is a little different from the other three main books, because Max, Marc, and Matt’s stories are all heterosexual romances. The Bryson brothers found the women that changed the rest of their lives.
In every one of their books, Teddy hoped to finally land a Bryson of his very own. Unfortunately for Teddy, all the Bryson boys were straight… Not that he didn’t try anyway. He was nothing, if not determined. Therefore, when it came time for Teddy for find a mate, it had to be a Bryson. I just needed to dig one out of the closet!
Note: This is a short m/m story that I originally wrote for a charity anthology. While it comes after the first three books, it can be read as a standalone. This is just a peek into the day they met, but don’t worry, in the end they got their HEA. I revisit this couple again in the fourth book: Brothers in Blue: A Bryson Family Christmas that releases October of 2020.

Absolutely loved Teddy’s story, it was a quick fast paced novella that had you captivated right from the start. It was hot, steamy and passionate. Filled with the quirkiness that only Teddy can bring. My only regret is I wanted more from Teddy and Adam but really that was more about being selfish and wanting more time with the characters.
The BookFunnel link to this free short story can be found:
- At the back of every one of my books (in my "Also by Jeanne" list) - On on my website here: https://www.jeannestjames.com/brother... - At the end of Brothers in Blue: Matt - At the beginning of Brothers in Blue: A Bryson Family Christmas
It's highly recommended to read it after Matt's story and before the Christmas novel.
I wish he had a longer story and we could know more about him, his background, and his family. I also wanted to know more about Adam Bryson. But I'm so glad Teddy got to have his own short story. He deserved his Bryson man and they were so hot together. I hope we get to see them again.
So glad that Teddy got a story of his own! It was short (too short really) but still had all the fun and passion that I've come to expect of a Jeanne St. James book. I am seriously hooked on this author. I read through almost the entire Dirty Angel's MC series before I found a list of her books in chronological order so I stopped to read the Brothers In Blue series. Can't wait to read more.
Yes!! Teddy finally gets his Bryson. Little did he know there was a Bryson cousin just waiting for him in the wings - or should I say a locked closet. Definitely a necessary wrap up to the Brothers in Blue series!!
I enjoyed this well enough. I wish that Teddy and Adam had a better story than what seemed like the only two gay men in an area hooking up but this was a short novella. I wanted more of the emotions that go with this scenario. But it is awesome that the author wrote this and provides it free to readers.
OMG, I finally found this little gem at the end of book 3 in the series. Let's just say I am loving Adam and Terry. P!ease tell me this short novella is not the last we will hear from this couple.
On a side note, I'm still haven't seen any MC action so I'm not not sure yet how this short series plays into the world build that is happening.
I’m glad Teddy got his Buck! It was a great way to give Teddy his wish and not leave him hanging, I couldn’t really give it 5 stars because there was no big obstacle they overcame It was really just a short book to expand on the lovable Teddy. If you read the other brothers in blue book and were sad Teddy didn’t get one of the brothers then this is the book for you!
Teddy is such a delightful character and makes his presence known to all the people in this series! His life’s goal seems to want to marry a Bryson but he’s gay and none of the three Brysons are. Then he meets the cousin! He’s a Bryson and gay. Can Teddy land this one?
Quick read in which we meet a new member of the Bryson family. This was a very short story that happens at Marc and Leah’s wedding with their friend Teddy.
I wanted to read the Bryson Christmas story, but the author recommended reading this book first. Since I love these characters and this author, I followed her directive. This was a good one.
Teddy is a great character. I have always appreciated how this author keeps him authentic and unapologetically real. It was nice to have him find his own happiness with Adam! I do not usually read M/M stories, but again, I trust this author to deliver a good read.
I wish I had read this after I read Judge (book 3 in the Blood & Bones series) and definitely before Cage (book 5 in the Blood & Bones series). I STRONGLY RECOMMEND following the author's suggested reading order to get the most from these characters and stories. It's worth your time.
