BOOK DESCRIPTION He hates to fly… But there Junior Agent Renner Graves is, standing on the ledge of Roslyn, Virginia’s tallest high-rise and about to fall to his death. If only he hadn’t mistakenly cuffed himself to the beautiful cat burglar on the ledge with him. If only he hadn’t assumed she was the serial murderer he was stalking. It’s a long way down, but he can’t go back inside. Renner has to jump. With his new lady friend. Can he do it? Does he dare? Better question, will they live?
She’s a woman in hiding… Once an Olympic hopeful, Tara is now running from her ex-husband, an ISIS terrorist. The world has become a frightening place for the once audacious risk-taker. She can’t trust anyone… until she encounters a brash, over-confident man while she’s robbing a local penthouse. She knows she’s met her match when he cuffs them together, but is this guy brave or strong enough to take her on? Is he as good as he seems? There’s only one way to find out. They have to fall—together.
Growing up in the countryside of Wisconsin, I always wanted to be a writer. I've dabbled in poetry, short stories, and more daydreaming than most. Way back when, I remember long Sunday afternoon drives with my parents where they'd tell us eight kids to, 'Look out the window and see something!'
I've been looking out the window ever since . . .
In the great Northwest pines, I saw a woman who had nowhere to run find refuge in the arms of a tender warrior seeking his own road to healing. In the hills of Wyoming, I saw a broken man who thought he'd lost everything rediscover the man he was in the eyes of a pretty girl. And in the Dairy State, (yes Wisconsin), I saw two people fall in love and overcome horrific obstacles on their way to happily-ever-after.
Life is short. Pick up a good book. Read. Write. Enjoy. Look out the window and see something!
This is the 19th In the Company of Snipers book that I have read. This is the by far the best. From meeting Tara one evening to realising he is in love with her . Tracking and killing Montego. The last few chapters are very intense. Lexie does steal the show and only 3.
Renner In the Company of Snipers Book 19 Irish Winters Renner Graves walks up to Alex Stewart at Arlington. Being a junior agent on TEAM made him no less appreciated or valued then the next guy. But it still left Renner with an “Ive got something to prove mentality”. Jed McCormack was an important man in Alex Stewarts world. When Renner told Alex he had seen Jed with a woman on his arm, well Alex stood up and took notice. Renner then threw Alex a thunderbolt he was not expecting. “Its her boss. Im sure. It’s Montego. I took pictures, Scroll right.” Thus begins the most highly action-packed, suspense-filled, romantic thriller from Irish Winters, EVER! This is one book you don’t want to put down or the story to end…. For those who have read every book in the series, Irish finally gives us more background about Alex and family. You get the inside look at how TEAM really works. The people Alex trusts, loves and will die for. For those who have not read any books in the series, while you will stay glued to the page, I am hoping it makes you want to go back and read from the beginning. Irish has a way with crafting these military action romances that you feel what the characters feel. Terror, Love, hope, despair, surprise every thump, blow and slam. So find that “Do Not Disturb” sign, get comfy and settle in…oh and make sure its somewhere you are able to make noise…. I was given an ARC but the Review is all mine and freely given.
Amazing. Can't use that word enough to describe this book. There are so many wonderful parts to this story. Each character, good or evil, has depth and will make you love or hate them. There is plenty of interactions with the characters from other books we have come to love. But, don't worry new readers, this book stands alone and meeting the other characters is explained enough that they fit in without the need to have read their personal story.
The relationship before Renner and Tara has its ups and downs--pun intended since they met when he inadvertently handcuffed her to himself. Thinking she was the bad gal instead of a burglar. (yeah, that makes sense once you read the story) They were stuck on a highrise building window and she pushed him off. Funny scene for a guy afraid of heights. Well, when they landed it was funny, once he could breathe again.
They have mutual contacts that put them together trying to take down the worst of the worst. There are twists and turns, surprises, and scares. We get to meet the cutest little girl who adores her daddy and is almost a mini-me. Some guys who have gone through the worst.
There is not a slow page in the entire book and I dare you to put it down before you are finished. Somethings are just worth a sleepless night and this is one of them.
Oh Renner, Renner, what have you done to me, I am an emotional wreck. I have laughed with you, cried with you, been angry for you but never have I not believed in you. Junior agent Remmer Graves is ex military, now working with an amazing team. Tara is an ex Olympic skier who is in hiding from her ex husband, a sadistic ISIS terrorist. The main perpetrator of pure evil in this story is beautiful Cuban Catalina Montago who has been systematically pulling young military men into her lair and inflicting the most depraved torture on them. She had been captured before but she is clever and she escaped, Renner is charged with capturing her and, afraid of heights, he finds himself on a ledge outside a high rise building with a beautiful girl in a fly suit and the only way is down.....there begins a beautiful friendship. Remmer is full of suspense, intrigue, twists and turns, , murder and Oh, I forgot about the sizzling romance. I loved this book, Irish Winters has the knack of painting a picture with words, I love the respect, camaraderie and yes, love that exists between the members of the team, I love how they love and protect their wives. This is a standalone story but the author cleverly incorporates much loved characters from the other "In company of snipers" books and a little about their journey. I highly recommend this book.
Irish Winters new book “Renner” is the nineteenth book in the Company of Sniper series. I just love reading this series especially “Renner.” Once I started I could not put the book down until complete. We first meet Renner at Arlington National Cemetery for Wreaths Across America when he noticed a very bad woman Catalina Montego who is a torture and murderer with Jed McCormack. So he starts an investigation on Jed on why he is with her. When in is apartment he apprehends another woman who he handcuffs to himself. This woman being Tara Tumulty. The attraction Renner is having even though in a very bad place was hot. Outside of a window and the only way down is to jump he feels an attraction but then starts thinking of family. I really enjoyed reading this book. I just had to read more to learn what happens. I highly recommend not only this book but in The Company of Sniper series, you won’t be disappointed, especially “Renner.”
I was given an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest review.
Gripped my seat from the beginning! Renner spied a serial killer hanging with a friend of Alex's and started the ball rolling. We've read about Catalina Montego before, the horrors she inflicted on America's heroes is terrible and gruesome. The TEAM begins to take action but Tara put a kink in things. This woman is tough, smart and stubborn. She fits in well with Renner and the guys, even the wives. I found myself reading this at every moment, a chapter at a time, until I was crying happy tears near the end. It's told from multiple views from plenty of familiar characters however it's not necessary to read the previous books. After 19 books there are many characters and storylines but Winters will give subtle reminders if needed. My copy was given early, review provided voluntarily.
I can usually anticipate some emotional scenes in Irish Winters’ books and this one was no exception, I definitely needed a box of tissues handy. Renner was highly entertaining and packed with emotional scenes that had me reaching for my box of tissues several times. The main villain in this book is a returning one who is so diabolical and sadistic it was difficult to read some of the scenes. Renner is such a sweetheart, I fell in love with him right from the beginning. Tara is a good match for him and they are good for each other as they both needed some healing. I really had a difficult time putting this book down and found the time quickly getting away from me. This is definitely a book you do not want to miss!
I am in awe at the talent of Irish Winters...how she can take all of these wounded in some way heros and give them a life beyond their service. In this book, Renner, she has gone so much further by involving Alex’s wife Kelsey and her new, PTSD friend Tara who has gone through hell at the hands of her ex-husband/terrorist, escaped from many situations that will boggle your mind, yet still is the perfect partner for Renner. The addition of Renner’s mother, Jed and Lois, all the other tortured heroic military men who suffered at the hands of the psychotic “LuAnn”. Just wow. I was so sorry when it ended! Do yourself a huge favor and read Number 1-19 of In the Company of Snipers...you will not regret it!

This was a pretty decent read; not quite the “page-burner” as is typical of Ms. Irish’s books, but compared to other authors quite excellent.
There should be a warning at the beginning of the story as it is quite graphic and tragic. Anyone with PTS may have a tough time with parts of the story.
Alex and Kelsey are heavy characters in this story and the little “side-stories “ with their toddler truly made the book. I just love when authors include little kids and animals in their books.. 🐶
If you’re new to the series, I would say it may confuse you as to the various characters and nuances. I highly recommend reading this series in order. It’s worth it.
Renner, the 19th installment of In The Company of Snipers, sets a new precedent for suspense. Irish Winters takes you on a wild ride with these lovable yet less than perfect characters. From the moment Tara Tumulty, a modern-day Robin Hood with a secret life, pushes Junior Agent Renner Graves from one of the tallest buildings in the city, the tension never stops. I laughed, I cried and I cheered for the men who served. It is a gift to be able to elicit such emotion from readers and Ms. Winters has done it beautifully in this well told tale. You won’t be disappointed!
Another winner by Irish Winters--Renner was a fast paced book and very exiciting. The characters in this book are different then the other books. The setting for this book was very different as Alex Stewart was not a main character in this book. Now to see Kelsey as a lead character was different. The way Renner met Tara was very interesting as was her character. The plot was not what I expected and very moving. The ending of Catalina Montego was as crazy as she was. Now I can't wait for the next book.
Renner starts meets his match in Tara with a free fall. The book continues to do a free fall until the end. It is definitely a ride that is worth reading. And the other characters really help seal the ride - from the moms who are not just sitting waiting on the sidelines to Mrs. Graves being thrown at Tara from the start. Once again, Irish Winters has provided a story that was full of action, twists, turns and none of it expected by me. I really enjoyed taking my time reading this story until the end.
I have officially claimed Renner as my latest book boyfriend and quite possibly my favorite Irish Winter's book so far! There wasn't a full spot in the book. She catches us up with the TEAM, brings an end to the evil witch and makes us feel, really FEEL, for a group of survivors. Not to mention we get to see how the mighty Alex was felled by a three year old.....priceless!! I loved this story so much, I read it multiple times. Can't go wrong!
Renner is one constant roller coaster ride that you don't want to end, all while covering your eyes and peeking through your fingers! Irish Winters knows how to perfectly craft and weave a tale, leaving you breathless and wondering where the next plot twist will take The TEAM. This is definitely one of those stories that makes you never want to anger the author, with how much knowledge they have to properly dispose and maim your body, lol.
Another emotional roller coaster from Irish Winters. Renner and Tara are thrown together in unusual circumstances. They fight against evil and overcome obstacles from their pasts to find love. I love that she revisits Alex and Kelsey’s story too.
Her stories always get me in the heart! There is so much pain and anguish that each character goes through that just rips me. However, the way she weaves redemption and forgiveness into her stories is masterful! Job well done!
I love this series. So for me there was no question about reading Renner Renner and Tara's story is great, it is in my top 4 of Irish's books. They meet whilst Renner is trying to find out why Jed has moved on so quickly with a depraved killer.. The story is great, Renner and Tara together are sublime and the fact that Kelsey (Alex' wife) is involved is even better. Make sure you get this book and continue with the In the Company of Snipers series. You will not regret buying it
Irish Winters never disappoints. Renner and Tara are a match made in chaos but perfect for each other. After being outsmarted by a psycho killer targeting military men renner is tasked with watching her when she surfaces again. After falling for tara literally he has more reason to catch the woman behind the missing men. Tara is by his side the whole way and puts herself before others as well. Page turner as usual.

This was a non-stop tale of danger, danger and more danger. My anxiety level was off the charts and I'm tired from the stress. Not to fear though, Renner does not let his girl, his boss, his family, his friends or his country down. You will be amazed at everything our hero goes through to win the day and you'll be cheering for all you're worth. Thank you, Irish Winters! You have done it again!
I absolutely love to read Irish Winters books. with each and every one they have gotten better and better and she is my favorite author. Her men are tough and tender all in the same skin! The research for each book is unreal! You really must read her books, you won't be sorry! Thanks Irish for writing such great stories!
Another great book, love how you can make me feel like these characters are my friends or enemies. Renner and Tara flying high, a true feat for a man who hates flying. What will their landing bring? Every book quickly becomes my favorite and I always hate for your books to end and yet I cannot put them down. Thank You!!
This is a great story. Action packed, emotional and kept my interest from the start. I love the characters, strong females and of course men. You can never go wrong reading a book by Irish Winters. Can hardly wait for next one. I was given an advanced reader copy and I voluntarily leave this review.
Irish Winters has done it once again woven a tale where I was so caught up in it i just couldn’t put it down it has a great story line and makes you hold your breath I cannot recommend this book enough
An amazing book. This is the first book that I have ever read written by Irish winter and honestly I was amazed. Such details and description that I have not read in any other book that I want to read more of the series. If you love to read a great book then this is 100% for you.
Irish Winters knows how to keep you at the edge of your seat Life isn’t always pretty or what we think or want it to be but with love family and friends can make it all worth while. This story is full of twists and turns and keeps you riveted to each word.
Renner was so engaging that I couldn't put it down. Even after I put it down at night, my brain would still keep going trying to figure out what would happen next. I loved the way other members of the Team were brought into the plot e.g Kelsey & Alex.
An amazing story. Once again Irish Winters doesn't disappoint. Renner has just moved up to being my new favorite. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
