Those are options, but they won’t help you get promoted, which is what you want after all.

Almost done reading and just had to stop and quickly write a quick review. A must read for any GenX seeking a competitive edge over the other generations. The timing is perfect and the knowledge gained is invaluable. I highly recommend this book!
It’s also a quick read. I read it in two sittings—I put it down the first time only because it was time for bed. I had to work the next day, but guess what? I used one of David’s suggestions during a meeting with a manager. How about THAT?
I like this book because it doesn’t drone on and on, but gets straight to the point and is packed with extra resources and links to additional reading material—including probing questions to ask yourself, and free planning worksheets to help you think through the things you desire in your career.
Another thing I enjoy is that the author’s personality shines though this-here work. Loving the film and old-school hip hop references!
With so many books out there, it’ll be worth your while to pay attention to this one.
I felt this book really slowed down in the last 4 or 5 chapters by not keeping up with the momentum I found in the beginning and middle of it. But there were some great lessons I found useful.
