Brothers of Miller Ranch #4

Her Fake-Fiance Cowboy Protector

Rate this book
They had to fake an engagement to protect her. He just wanted to keep her safe. If only it were that simple…

The second to youngest of all the Miller brothers, Bradley has always been a bit of the odd one out. Good with numbers, but not especially with people. While his brothers played sports in high school, he got into theater. And while they all worked outside on the ranch, he did the business side of things.

But with his older brothers finding love one right after the other, he’s beginning to wonder if maybe they know something he doesn’t.

Lazy. Dumb. Useless. Sophia’s been called it all, but she’s still fighting. On the run from her past, she won’t stop until she’s free. Until she’s able to live a life truly on her own.

But who even is Sophia Hernandez? Molded into something else since she was seventeen years old, she barely remembers that girl she used to be.

Then she meets Bradley Miller. And her world is turned upside down…

Out of nowhere, like a knight in shining armor, Bradley shows up and runs off the man who has been haunting all of her dreams.

Together, maybe the two of them can defeat the shadow lurking over Sophia’s life. But doing so means trusting again, and some things are too impossible a task.

Natalie Dean delivers a wonderfully unique twist to the fake-fiance trope with this sweet protector romance.

I loved Bradley's character and distinct personality--so different from his brothers. When he rescues Sophie, he doesn't stop to think about it, he just does the right thing.

The author kept me guessing about whether or not Sophie would truly break free from her abusive past. I loved the way this unfolded and how Bradley was critical to Sophie's healing.

Fans of sweet cowboy romance will love this book.

We continue the wonderful brothers Miller quest of finding their true love. Sophia and Bradley have their own problem with trusting people and showing their true Colors. She can’t trust again she has been so badly treated so when Bradley protected her from her ex, he feels good about it but the way to find there way together will be long and filled with lots of drama. You will fall in love with those two.

An excellent story of overcoming fear.

This is a great read. A heartwarming, sweet tale of a young woman who'd been beaten down for years and how with a little help and little room to grow, she's able to find the strength to stand up and find her dreams and live again. It's all wrapped up with a few laughs, a great guy and a happy ever after.

Sweet, sweet romance

First off, AMAZING read. There might be a trigger for some as this is a story about a domestic abuse survivor running and hiding from her abusive ex. This is beautifully written. Seeing the entire Miller family gather around and support Sophia. An all around great read.

I loved this fake relationship romance. It was really well done. The added dynamic of domestic abuse brought in some suspense that made it even better. I loved getting just a hint of mention of the Millers in Texas (grab the last book of this series and then head over to them!).

Ruination

I was totally prepared to not like this book because it starts out kind of rough, but the Miller women in particular bind together to save Sophie and Bradley is a great fake fiance until he's not.

Sophia and Bradley

Of the books I have read so far, this one I didn't enjoy as much. It just didn't click. The other brothers had more personality. Bradley was just boring. But the writing was good, the storyline was different. Great evening read.

Bradley's Fake Finance

Great story. Sophia was abused by her ex-finance. She had lots of problems not trusting men and herself. Bradley did everything along with his family to protect her and give her space. What a story of family and love.

abused

How do women get abused. Some people used to say they asked for it, or just leave. Read this book and you will understand PSTD ! Then you get to see a Miracle!

Very enjoyable

This series has hit a few series topics! This one is about abuse. Physical and mental abuse. At least in a book life has a happy ending for the victim!

Good description of abuse

Very good and the reporting of domestic abuse was good but not into too much detail! I really enjoyed it!

This story has a wonderful plot and a real kind of hero. The problem is our heroine who has been abused, and is fleeing her ex-husband. She loves that Brandon wants to protect her, but she doesn't want any harm to come to him. The problem is that she can't trust any man and won't allow Brandon to protect her. Love comes in many forms, but without trust a relationship cannot and will not stand. The author doesn't really allow for that in this story.

Bradley and Sophia, both struggle with painful past and the inability to trust. But then Bradley does something surprising. He jumps in and saves Sophia from her ex. Will their fake relationship turn into something more? Will either of them be able to let go of their hurt and trust issues and find love again?

Another super winner

Things are not always what they seem and young people are easily misguided. The Millers come to thr rescue once again to help the hopeless young lady to overcome the abusiveness of an oldet ex boyfriend and his family. Bradley finds love and he comes home with a surprise to last a lifetime.

I very much enjoy reading about the Miller family. They are a loving and accepting family following the example set by their parents. Bradley rescues Sophia from an abusive relationship and is determined to protect her from her abusive ex no matter what it takes to do so. As Sophia experiences acceptance from the Miller family she learns to trust again and her relationship with Bradley also grows. Another great book in this series by Natalie Dean. A very talented writer.

Review

I absolutely loved this book! Sophia and Bradley faked an engagement to keep her safe from her abusive ex. As time went on, and Sophia slowly regained her confidence and power, she realized she wanted more. Unknown to her, Bradley did, too, but he was afraid to rush her. When her stalker ex confronted her in a mall, she faced him down in a scene I would have loved to see! The changes in both Sophia and Bradley and the love they finally admitted to each other made this one of the best books I've read lately. Can't wait to read the other brothers' stories!

I love these Miller brothers! In Her Fake-Fiance Cowboy Protector, Bradley bursts into a hotel room to save Sophia from any further abuse from her ex-fiance. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and watching Sophia grow into a fierce, independent woman. With great characters and a good story line, anyone who enjoys a clean romance should enjoy this book!

A bit different than expected

This was a bit different than most fake fiancee books and in a good way. No one needing a wife for a will or business venture. This one is about a family doing the right thing for a girl being abused. Abuse is a tricky subject but was handled well and there was closure in the end. Only problem was not starting with the first book.

Her Fake-Fiancé Cowboy Protector

This book had such potential, but fell flat. The storyline is great, but I feel like it just wasn’t executed well. Too many characters, lots of spelling and grammar errors, and at times, I was confused as to what the author was talking about.
