Okay but could not finish

Doctor Daddy by Bella Winters was a story that from the description looked like it could be really fun and flirty, along with all kinds of dirty and sexy. It just did not hold up to the potential that it had. I have read several books by this author and for me they seem to be a bit hit and miss. This one was a miss for me as I was not able to finish it. I found the writing to be lacklustre and the characters of Dalton and Valerie to be unbelievable in so many ways. I mean he is a manwhore doctor (gyno) and he knocks up his best friend's virgin daughter who is also a nurse. I mean really are the readers supposed to be that enamored of his misogynistic azz that we just believe this? At least the condom could break or slip off or she could have messed up on her pill or something. Anyway, this one just did not do it for me but I am sure other fans of Bella Winters will love it.

Valerie lands a job from Dalton, who happens to be a friend of her father. Dalton is a gynecologist and as they work together sparks are flying between them. Valerie is a virgin and Dalton offers to teach her about sex but what will happen when she falls for him and ends up pregnant? Fast-paced steamy read with plenty of drama and chemistry. I liked it.

A Daddy's Girl Becomes Daddy's Baby

The protected world of Valerie Gardiner had been carefully designed by her parents. They selected her schools, her college and her major. Now, graduated and back home with a nursing degree, her parents have a job lined up with the practice of a local gynecologist, Dalton Reed, who also happens to be a close friend and associate of her father. Happy to be home, Valerie slides back into the carefully, lovingly and gently manipulated world of her parents’ construction. And, she agrees to their plans; she always agrees; it’s easier that way.

But, she is beginning to emerge from her beautiful chrysalis and to stretch her wings. Eden, best friend and protector of the gentle Valerie from childhood to the present, has provided the model. Eden is an independent woman, living alone, whose art career is beginning to take off. She benefits from the help of Valerie’s mom, Claire, whose passion is art. While Claire’s husband takes care of all her needs, she does need a hobby to occupy her time—it was a point in her arranged marriage to Maverick. Dalton Reed is a handsome, wealthy and successful doctor who has the reputation of being a player. In his late 30’s, he is closer to the age of his friend, Maverick Gardiner than Maverick’s 23-year-old daughter, Valerie. But, upon meeting and interviewing her for a job, who her father is and her age, don’t matter. He wants her, and she is interested in him. Ironically, she is drawn particularly by his control. And, as she embarks on her plan to become less dependent on her parents, to become her own woman, Dalton seems to be a good candidate to help her escape the last vestige of being a daddy’s girl—her virginity—and claim her role as Daddy’s Baby.

Bella Winters carefully weaves a story of female empowerment with threads of parental control with the possibility of an arranged marriage. The group of friends supporting both Valerie and Dalton are essential in achieving the happily-ever-after ending the reader requires. One concern that slightly mars the sweet and dirty romance is the strange appearance and role of Dalton’s estranged family. I know the author needs a catalyst to move the plot, but that thread was not well prepared or woven into the story and was an awkward manipulation of the characters. Regardless of a small rabbit hole, this is a novel to read.

Both are Spoiled and Selfish!

Dalton isn't a strong, gorgeous, Greek God like alpha man, nor is Valerie a sassy and sexy woman. This is the description of them given in t the book's blurb. At some point, they're both protective of each other. They're both spoiled and selfish. The title "Doctor Daddy" was inappropriate on so many levels.

You knew enough back story about Valerie to know that she was the spoiled, selfish, only child of overbearing protective parents. It didn't take long to realize that Valerie loved playing that role. There was no back story on Dalton. You knew him as an arrogant, womanizing, rich gynecologist. He was as spoiled, selfish and immature as Valerie. He was never with a woman more than a month and the relationships lasted as long as he wanted, which was often only one night. He was an over thirty year old man who still confided everything to two of his best friends.

At least Valerie stopped confiding in Eden, her best friend, when she became intimate with Dalton. How can a gynecologist and nurse have an unexpected pregnancy? Valerie did grow as a result of her relationship with Dalton. Her relationship with Dalton wasn't approved of by her parents who rejected her and put her out when they learned of the affair with Dalton. Dalton finally matured when he realized how hurt Valerie was as a result of his inconsiderate behavior.

Valerie's parents behavior was over the top. There was nothing to prepare you for Dalton's extended family behavior. He had no relationship his immediate family and no reason is given. The writing was odd with some weird descriptive words. Too much is given to the reaction of other people to their relationship. The sex is descriptive and graphic and not sensual. Still, it was fast, somewhat interesting read.

This is a story about an older successful doctor, Dalton and a recently college graduate who is a virgin, Valerie. They meet at a party thrown by Dalton and Valerie’s parents introduce her. Valerie’s parents are friends with Dalton and after a conversation her offers her a job at his practice. These two have an attraction to one another and Dalton even steals a kiss form Valerie that keeps her heading spinning! Once they start working together things get complicated quickly and Dalton offers to give Valerie sexual experiences with him as a teacher. Valerie can not believe how she quickly falls for Dalton and when the unthinkable happens things go from crazy to down right fearful for her. I am glad Valerie takes a stand and let’s Dalton have it and once he realizes what was said does Dalton step up for Valerie! That blurb alone got me all hot and bothered!

The story was intriguing. An older, and very successful doctor, and an innocent, virginal college graduate. They were introduced by her parents, but obviously had no idea of what was to come…

He offers her a job at his practice, and there is a very strong, mutual attraction, that leads to more. Can this young woman keep her distance from the renowned womaniser? Does she even want to?

Matters get complicated quite quickly. Has Dalton taken unfair advantage of Valerie? Is Valerie mature enough to deal with what’s happened? Despite outside opinion and influence, these two are the only ones that can really decide what will happen, and how things can be resolved.

There is plenty of chemistry and drama, with ample ups and downs, and a lovely HEA. I’d definitely recommend this read.

This is the story of Valerie and Dr. Dalton. Dalton is the playboy doctor who intends on NEVER settling down or being tied down by one woman. At one of his parties, a friend of his introduces his daughter Valerie to him in hopes that he would hire her as she just graduated top of her class as a nurse. He agrees only to find her alone a little later one. He proceeds to kiss her as he is attracted to her, but she runs off to find her parents. She goes ahead and take the job as she needs the experience. Well she needs more than job experience as she is also a young virgin and he is an older man who has all the experience in that field. The story is great and if you love an older man and younger woman then this is your book. Even if they decide on one thing when they agree on something doesn’t mean that it will always end up that way.

Dalton is easily bored. He enjoys women but they rarely hold his attention more than a couple days. He is arrogant and has definite boundary and propriety issues. When friends of his show up with their daughter Valarie in tow he's quick to offer her a place in his clinic but really all he wants to do is get in her pants.

Valerie is a bit spoiled and she lives under her parents strict rule. She went to school where they wanted, get a job where they want and now feels it's time to test her boundaries. As a virgin she realizes just how much Dalton can teach her, what's the harm in experimenting?

This story follows the usual formula for a book like this. It moved fast and the characters both become more likable as the story goes on.

This was a truly original story of a spoiled, rich, only child, Valerie, who went to nursing school to help people and had overbearing, overprotective parents. Her parents in order to keep her close and under their watchful eyes at her 22yrs of age arranged for her to work under a well-known doctor, Dr. Dalton Reed, at his clinic. Dr. Reed is a playboy but is serious about his OB-GYN practice. The sexual tension conveyed between Dalton and Valerie, the insidiousness of love creeping up on them, and the actions and reactions of Val & Dalton and her parents, Maverick and Claire, are perfectly described and expressed in detail. There were some teary moments and a few turns but it totally had my attention.

This book revolves around the characters of Valerie and Declan. Valerie is a newly qualified nurse, that is introduced to Dr Declan by her overprotective parents, at one of his parties. They hope that he will be able to take Valerie on at his private clinic and take her under his wing. It’s not quite his wing that Valerie ends up under...Slightly older than her, both Declan and Valerie have an instant attraction. Declan has a reputation as a player and Valerie is totally inexperienced. Their relationship blossoms, much to the anger of Valerie’s parents. This is a good read with plenty of chemistry between the doctor nurse ;-)The characters throughout the book are believable. The book is well written and enjoyable.

Dalton is a doctor who knows very well how to attract women to his bed.
Valerie is a young woman who just finished her studies as a nurse. She is very naïve and very spoilt.
I have to say that I chose this book by mistake, thinking it was about a single father who happened to be a doctor. Silly me! When I started reading it, I saw my mistake and thought it would be another book about just sex scenes. However, I was greatly surprised. Although I didn’t like too much Dalton and Valerie, I loved the storyline. I was surprised by the reaction of Valerie’s parents to her news. I would have never done that if I happened to be in that situation.
I liked a lot Dalton’s friends and Valerie’s best friend. They stuck together with their friends and help them unconditionally.

An older man younger woman forbidden romance that had me disliking Dalton.. you get playboys and then you get the creepy pervs like Dalton. The moment he sees Valerie he wants her but knows that he will tire of her!!!! He is her father's best friend and her employer and just cant stop himself from toying with her!!!!....erghhh ...... and of course she knows his reputation but still enters into a sexual relationship because he wants to teach her how to be a woman!!!!!
There was no character development and both male and female characters were very shallow....

The book was good. Dalton, womanizing doctor in his mid 30s, was introduced the young(early 20s) and naive nurse graduate, by her parents at one of his parties. Even though she was warned by her parents and friend, Valarie could not fight her attraction to Dalton. Things get more complicated when she starts working as a nurse in his private clinic. Lots a family interference, but nothing can stop these two from discovery in their love for one another. Loved this whole discovery process and their HEA ending.

Dalton is a gynecologist and Valerie's father's best friend. Valerie has had a crush on him for as long as she can remember. She gets hired at his clinic and the more time they spend together the closer they get. I had a hard time with this book because Dalton is a doctor and Valerie is a nurse yet neither thought to use protection?? I don't know what it was about this book but I just didn't connect with the story or the characters. Hopefully the next book holds my attention better. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Doctor Daddy. I was surprised at the story. It begins with Valerie a very naive woman getting involved with an older man that becomes her boss and friend of her parents. Their forbidden relationship causes so much tension in each family and many family issues. Can Dalton do something that would bring peace back to the family? A must read book! Just an ok read.

This was just an ok read for me. It does have the heat level but I wanted it to be hotter. Dalton was an arrogant character and Valerie’s character was spoiled trying to get out of her parents thumb and find independence. I just didn’t find their character likable and made the storyline drag on. I normally like this authors book but for some reason this newest release didn’t do it for me.

This is an okay story, it was well-written but I found it a bit slow paced. Their was plenty of chemistry an steam between Valarie and Dalton, I didn't connect with either character, Dalton was arrogant and Valarie was spoilt and naive. I love a HEA so I enjoyed that and the fact that all the interfering family finally realized that only Dalton and Valerie and make decisions on their lives.

This book just didn’t do it for me. I just never could connect with the storyline or characters. The storyline is one we’ve all read a zillion times; characters were weak—more like cardboards cutouts than the real thing; and the HEA was anticlimactic. Bella Winters usually delivers us stories with more personality than Doctor Daddy. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and was disappointed. Hopefully the next book will be much better.)

I always like this author's work and this book was no different. She truly knows how to write real alpha dominant guys. And Dalton is definitely the guy. On the other hand, you have this a little shy but still cute Valerie, and throw into the mix the fact that Dalton likes Valerie from the second he sees her, despite the fact that she is a daughter of his friend and you have a great story.

The author has given us characters that each have issues. Valerie is a virgin that has overprotective parents that she does not want to disappoint. Dalton is her employer and an older man. Valerie asks for his help to experiment with her sexuality and he is more than willing to instruct her.

This is a good older man/younger women boss/employee romance. Valerie has lived a very sheltered life & Dalton wants to introduce her to some of the things she is missing out on. I loved the way they both dance around their attraction to each other & try to stick to their arrangement only! This page turner will hook you from the start & make it incredibly hard for you to stop!

Great book. Loved it from beginning to end. I found Valerie's parents to be a bit much when it came to her. A little to overprotective almost helicopter parents I guess you can say. Now I can understand if she had some type of illness and they were worried about her in that way but she was healthy. It took me awhile to warm up to Dalton.

I have read several of these books and sometimes you can't connect with the characters, but that's not the case here. I absolutely loved how the storyline played out and the twist and turns of it. I can't wait to read more of these books from Bella and shes a new author for me. Absolutely brilliant book.

Sweet read....

Loved this book the chemistry with the characters. I loved how it all played out. I liked the ending, I just wish the epiligoue had a look like 3 or 4 yrs in the future their little girl is a toddler and she is pregnant again. Just to see how it has all worked out for Valerie and Dalton. But even without that I still loved the book. It was a sweet read...

Bella wrote a good storyline. Dalton and Valerie meet at a party given at his mansion. Valerie's father makes all her decisions including her job. What happens when Valerie decides she wants to rebel against her parents? What happens after she goes to work at the clinic? Is there a happy ending? Read the story to find out! I would recommend this book to anyone over 18 due to steaminess
