As someone who was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia over 12 years ago, I have read MANY books and articles on it, hoping for some relief. For the most part, I am ok, but one thing I found over and over is that even though most doctors acknowledge that fibro sufferers almost always have chronic fatigue syndrome, few give recommendations for treating each individually. I am able to deal with the pain, but what do you do on the (many for me) days you cannot get up of the couch to do the basic jobs of living? This book did break it down, and into even deeper levels defining what your body is lacking and what can help each particular problem.

I am a little disturbed at all the comments that describe this book as only a vehicle for selling his products and services. I did not have that impression at all. I feel that for anyone who WANTS his help, he gave contact info for both him and his products. But for each product he recommends we can easily find these as over the counter and/or online items on our own. He cautions to look for high quality supplements, which is good advice, but he does not require you to buy his products to see results. And I strongly feel that the in-depth information he provides is worth your time, so dismissing this as not to be read simply because he does provide the items is just wrong. Also, a number of other books I've read over the years also had information on the services and/or products the doctor(author) provided, so I do not feel this is in any way unique or out of line.

So if you want to know more about what is causing the problems you are facing and what to do about them, I highly recommend this book.

Dr. Murphree has some great education in this book. As a Fibromyalgia Coach, I learned a ton that I'm sharing with my clients.

In my own case, I was already doing well with my fibro (off nine meds & living like I don't have fibro before I ever read the book), so I can't say this book helped me personally. I will say that the things he recommends were some of the things that I did to get well. So I felt validated in my own journey. =)

Dr. Murphree also does a lot of plugging of his own supplements. That part really bugged me. I just chose to take that bit with a grain of salt. I always find it suspect when a doctor writes a book and uses it to sell something. I don't know if I believe that his stuff is the best. After all, Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum says his stuff is the best too! Who is right? They both can't be! =)

So I took the info Dr. Murphree gave on supplements to use, but chose to ignore the bit about actual brands and did my own research on what was a quality supplement.

Very informational, but not a lot new learned. My friend let me borrow this book, and I have been reading it the past few weeks, hoping maybe I would learn something new to start the New Year off with some new advice or something new to try. The past few weeks have been rough for me, a lot of flare-ups, but I've tried most everything Dr. Murphee recommended. For me, it is based on sleep, if I can get deep good sleep I can usually be a functioning citizen of society, but once I do not, and I am currently in a very bad cycle, then the flare-ups are bad, and life is hard.

Dr. Murphree wrote a very informational book about fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I am putting a lot of hope in his book and have set up a phone consult with him (he is in Alabama, I'm in California). To me it all makes sense, we are what we eat, and I would much rather treat my illness with vitamins/minerals exercise and an all natural approach. It was an easy to understand book with a ton of information.

Great information for anyone with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, or any other disease really. It shows that many of us has a low or very low immune system and it needs to be built back up for us to do better or feel better. I have learned a lot from this book. It's been very helpful. Would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent resource for people with fibromyalgia. It takes a lot of money to treat fibromyalgia these days because you have to see functional medicine doctors who aren't covered on insurance policies. This is an excellent functional medicine, chiropractor whose whole practice is dedicated to treating fibro & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

There is an overwhelming amount of information here, but I found a lot of it useful and the recommendations and tips he gives are easy to apply. This book helped me pinpoint some of my particular problems and come up with my own plan. Worth the time it took to read.
