Discoveries in the sciences related to Human Evolution have exploded in recent years. There has been much confusion however in interpreting and understanding these findings, both by the scientific community and by the general reader. This book offers the reader an overview of Human Evolution which incorporates a succinct summary of the recent findings and puts these into perspective of the larger subject. A broad yet insightful understanding of Human Evolution is provided, maintaining a pace that remains both informative and interesting.
I took Anthropology in my girly year out of high school. Thought I had learned all there was to know about human evolution — not so but then, that was fifty years ago. What I liked most about this author’s style of writing is how he so neatly mixed not just the physical evolution but also the cultural imprint as well as how climatic changes forced humans done a very precarious path of survival. And survive they did — hence, I’ll close my review with a huge ‘THANK YOU’‼️
Very well written book, i find that i understand Human Evolution a lot better now. i have a different idea about how humans developed now. it seems very logical, i thoroughly enjoyed this book .
