Tap into your inner power with this mind-opening guide to vibrational-based living from Instagram star and self-help pioneer behind the internet community Vibrate Higher Daily.

“There is another way of being in the world. There is a better way to exist, rise, move beyond, and take our power back.”

Too often we feel pulled down by circumstances or the negativity of others. We think we have no control over the things that are hurting us and holding us back from realizing our truest selves. But according to Lalah Delia, we have more power within us than we know: listen to your unique inner voice and trust your instincts. By doing so, you’re already experiencing the transformative power of vibrational-based living.

Vibrating higher daily is about making intentional day-to-day choices that lift us out of mindsets, habits, and lifestyles that don't serve us and into ones that do. This book is an invitation to engage with everything that feeds our soul and raises our vibration, and to simultaneously let go of the things bringing our energy down. Through poetry, mantras, and affirmations, Lalah Delia empowers us to live with higher potential and quality of being.

I really like Lalah's motivational tweets and Instagram posts, and admire her for overcoming past hardships like domestic abuse and suicide attempts. I picked up this book because I wanted to achieve a similar level of peace with myself and my past traumas. While I appreciate her warm and supportive tone, I wish this book dived deeper into specific practices to improve our daily living. Most of the writing is abstract and comprises of metaphors, which is a little too woo-woo for my tastes. When she does provide concrete suggestions, they're pretty standard advice like eating healthy, journaling, and avoiding toxic people. I wonder if the book would be more effective if it were written as a memoir; Lalah has clearly been through a lot and transformed majorly in the process, and I would have loved to see how she persevered throughout her journey and be inspired from that. If not, at the very least, I wish she gave us some examples and actionable steps beyond just “good vibes”. Overall, the teachings here were too surface-level without any specific techniques or solutions.

I follow Lalah's Instagram and was looking forward to reading her book. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. Overall, the message is abstract and arbitrary. I felt motivated yet disconnected. She talks a lot about self-care and "doing the work" ok but who, what, where, how. Too hocus pocus for me.

3 stars is being generous. This book lays the absolute bare minimum for the newly enlightened. Eat right, journal and avoid toxic people (BAM!) no need to read the book. Short but I want my time back. If you want a book to dive deep, read Own Your Glow by Latham Young.

A Contemporary Must-Read

A mind-opening guide and beautiful read. The lyrical tone is so warm and supportive. The chapters spoke to much of what I am currently going through, but couldn’t put into words, as I seek to make positive changes in my personal life.

This book is for anyone who is ready to journey beyond where they are and go deeper with the beautiful words usually found on the author’s Instagram. It adds more context and conversation, which I love. It’s not a quick poetry read that is so common now. It’s full of depth and tools that challenge real growth from its reader.

Glad I didn’t let any of the not so good reviews here stop me from reading this book. (A few of the negative review pages actually looked fake. I knew I couldn't trust them 🤨) I’m happy I trusted the good reviews. So super happy.

Vibrate Higher Daily is a true gem. I’ve already read it twice and I have given it to friends who are also loving it and finding it life changing.

This book is for who it’s for and not everyone may be ready to go deeper or do the inner work that will enhance their lives, character, vibration, and energy, in the world. This is more than a book or a poetry book, it’s beautiful and soulful experience and invitation to transform and grow higher.

I hate to give it a poor rating, I really do. But I didn't like this book, for several reasons. I felt it was repetitive in many ways. I also feel it didn't teach anything that we didn't already know. It kept saying vibrate higher, but didn't offer any real suggestions that are not common knowledge: eat healthier, remove toxic people/relationships from your life, surround yourself with good people, rest, do things that make you happy. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything special to separate this book from the other self-help/self-improvement books I've read in my life. I rated it 3 stars, but honestly, it was more of a 1-2 for me. I had to force myself to power through it after weeks of reading just a little here and there because I was bored.
I was so excited to buy this book... a woman of color teaching about wellness, transformation, and spirituality.... it was on my shopping list for several months before I finally did, but I'd prefer my money back.
I do hope someone finds something helpful from this book.

It took me a week to read this book and I love it! I will certainly reach for this book when I need a self help reminder.

This will be my very first "review" on Goodreads. So here it goes. I followed Lalah Delia on Instagram and was aware she published a book recently. But the Goop interview really set me out to actually buy it. I was a bit sceptical at first I must admit. I read books of Gabby Bernstein and Wayne Dyer... I was aware of the mutual topics. So I wasn't quite sure what this book could do for me. But it spoke to me in a way no other book ever did. It was like it was written for me. I read it with a warm smile on my face till the very last page and the acknowledgments too. Her love and light radiates through the book. And it reached me wonderfully. I am very happy to have read it and I hope many will do the same.

A reflective and feel good book by Lalah Delia as she shares insight on her life story and ways of thinking and being in the world. I appreciate the various components of the book being centred around the self, others, and the world as individual and interconnected moving parts. This book is a resource for me to check-in with what is and is not serving me with great self-compassion and direction. Overall, a worthwhile read to deep dive into. Enjoy!

A reminder that stuck with me:

No content at all. Her instagram feed was printed and the illustration is nice, but literally every page repeats the exact same generic saying to attract good vibes and manifest your wishes. Literally, in that language.

After following spiritual writer and wellness coach Lalah Delia on Instagram for years, I felt compelled to read her book. And I’m extremely glad I did. Think of this read moreso as a guided reflection exercise and workbook for soul-searching and inner work. Reading this book gave me waves of peace and helped connect some dots in my own life. This is definitely a lighter, feel-good read versus a “tell it like it is” book. I’ll definitely keep coming back to this book often alongside my journaling (which the author suggests in the epilogue). I have almost every other page of the book earmarked. Lastly, this book is timely for the current societal season, as a lot of practices and teachings align perfectly with the current racial climate and quarantine due to COVID19.

I HIGHLY suggest you read this book in its physical hard copy form, as I LOVED the format of the book, where almost every other page is a pull quote or takeaway. The pages are of high-quality, and aesthetically it’s beautifully designed. This is one that you’ll want to keep on your bookshelf to keep coming back to, or keep on your nightstand for daily reflections and journaling.

I wanted to love this because I think Lalah is an incredible writer and human. I think this book will definitely appeal to many people on their vibrational journey, but for me it just felt a little surface level and I wish she’d provided more meat.

A book of great reminders. Being consistent on your spiritual journey is key to vibrating higher. It’s a daily practice and lifelong commitment. Thank you for guiding me back on my spiritual path. This book was a balm for my soul!

If "good vibes only" was a book. Very surface level with a lot of untapped potential.

I'm inspired by her Instagram feed and recently read another book that moved me that quoted her so I was hoping for something more. The concepts seemed ultra basic, so I suppose if you're at the beginning of a spiritual journey this might be a good place to start.

I’ve been slowly working through this book... truly a new favorite. The author articulated ways you can reevaluate your life to identify whether you’re living your highest power in alignment with The Divine’s plan for you. To live your highest power, she argues, is to continue to implement the things and habits that sustain, replenish, and restore your energy. Will absolutely be rereading this as needed.

As I read this book, I felt like I was having an intimate conversation with the author as though we had been lifelong friends. She shared stories I could relate to while guiding me to vibrate higher.

Sad to say, I couldn’t wait for this book to end. I had a difficult time connecting to the book and a lot of the concepts went over my head.

As some reviews have already stated here this book does not say anything new. In my case it was not something unexpected, on the contrary, it’s what I needed.
When I started to loose my sleep due to anxiety attacks caused by the forth wave of the pandemic I new something has to be done right away.
Reading this book has helped me to refocus and gain back balance over my mental state.
Having said that, first of all I have to once again agree with other reviewers that Lalah social media presence leads us to believe that this book is more strikingly inspiring than it is.
If this was my first book on mindfulness, or self-help, whichever you prefer to call it, I don’t think it would be very useful, since the author talks about the topic in a such way that assumes her readers are not new to it. It may appear too much on the surface, or washed out, depending on each individual situation. I had a feeling that it was written as a support material for online classes that I have seen the author advertise on social media.
There are some personal spiritual believes that might be contradictory to the reader’s, depending on everyone’s different believe system. But I think the title and the introduction makes it clear.

I liked the book for its approach to self love, mindset shifts and not allowing other people to lower your vibration BUT the amount of triggering food comments that were made especially towards the end of the book, drove me crazy. “unhealthy food chains” only “nourishing meals” “food that makes you happy isn’t necessarily good for you”… WTF LALAH?!?! I can imagine her being a classic, LA indie chick who actually has quite a restrictive, unsustainable diet that wouldn’t work for 95% of people in life. Food is meant to make you happy and personally i would be the most miserable version of myself if i only ate whole/raw foods all my life. I actually didn’t read until the very end as i don’t feel she deserves me to finish this “book”.
Overall: Spiritual Awareness turned into Diet Culture.

Was overall a good listen on bookbeat.

It's definitely more of an overview and first grasp of what your vibration is and how it affects you, as someone who is familiar with this aspect of spirituality I don't feel I learnt quite as much as I would have liked. However, the book had an overall lovely message, the words from the author were full of warmth and wisdom - I really respect everything she has endured and now passes on to help others.

Glad I read the book as a reminder and reconnection with this aspect of spirituality and would recommend to others as an intro to your vibrational energy.

- Will be filling out the workbook that came with the audiobook!

While the author's own personal story and life journey is interesting and a beautiful story to listen to this book drones on and on saying the same thing over and over. I had a really hard time picking up all the the content and being able to apply it to my life as much as I really wanted to. Wouldn't recommend unfortunately.

Pros: pleasant, encouraging self-help audiobook. Short (3-4 hours). Black woman author.

Cons: advice is to just “vibrate higher.” No specific instructions. IMO this can result in a blame the victim attitude.

Beautifully written, a lot of potential, but pretty surface level. It would be a great read for someone beginning their spiritual journey, but not necessarily insightful enough for a person trying to deepen their connection

I really like the overall premise of this book, and it's clear that Lalah Delia is a wise woman. I found the book quite vague and repetitive though. I'm personally someone who likes examples and actionable steps. The journal prompts were my favourite part of the book, and I would have liked to find more of them, or some other exercises.

3.5 If you read a lot of books in the "Self Help/Self Improvement" category then you know they all kinda say the same thing essentially. I don't think this book is any exception to that, however I really enjoyed her voice and perspective. I relate a lot to her experiences and traumas so it's always refreshing to hear from someone who's rebuilt themselves from rock bottom. This is a deeply spiritual book, but she never hones in on a specific religion (which I appreciate), although she does draw on the knowledge of several different religions and philosophies.

There are a couple parts in the book where I felt like the message bordered on toxic positivity. The "choose joy, happiness is a choice" vibe can be really invalidating and potentially harmful if you're taking this book as gospel.

Overall, a very pleasant and inspiring read. I felt uplifted and motivated after finishing it; that's always a good sign.

On a small note: I did not enjoy the staccato, monotone voice of the audio book. I'm sure she's lovely :) Just not my top choice to listen to..

Disclaimer: I did not finish this book, and I probably won’t pick it back up. It’s possible I didn’t give it enough of a chance (I got about a quarter of the way through), but for me it was just too fluffy, too metaphorical, and unsubstantial.

I can see the appeal of the poetic and uplifting writing style, especially for people just starting to step into spiritual awareness, but I was hoping for more concrete and detailed storytelling.

For as much as I did read, I feel like the only takeaway was: be intentional about what you consume, from what you watch to what you eat, what you focus on and the people you spend time around, as everything can affect your energy. It’s a great message for sure.

I’m big on energy and I aim to radiate at a high vibration every day — so the theme of the book resonates with me. But bottom line, this book just did not hold my attention.
