The book is filled with testimonies of many who were not only physically restored to health but who entered into a relationship with God for the first time by being spiritually reborn. Kathryn Kuhlman, who always credited these wonderful miracles to the Holy Spirit, was not only an instrument of God's healing love, but she was also a wonderful teacher about God's way of life and His power. Great book.....if you want to be encouraged read it.
I wasn’t sure what this book was going to be about, but it was soon clear that this woman, Kathryn Kuhlman, was a faith healer. The only thing I could recall about faith healing was on an episode of The Walton’s. Other than that, even looking up faith healing online didn’t really find much. A lot of skepticism is out there of course, and really wasn’t the last person to perform miracles of healing, Jesus? This woman went to places around Pennsylvania, and witnessed by audiences of probably thousands, had services that healed many people suffering from various types of sicknesses such as cancer, alcoholism, arthritis, and birth defects. She didn’t necessarily lay her hands on the sick people, and sometimes didn’t even know who she was praying for, but the few stories in this book attest to the fact that some people, through their faith and love of the Lord, were healed. The stores of healing in this book took place in the 1940’s and 1950’s. According to the internet, Kathryn passed away in 1976, so I often wondered while reading these stories what if this happened today? Maybe it does, but is obviously not publicized? I would say the one thing I got out of this book, the most important thing, is the power of God is so overwhelming we can’t even grasp His power. Prayer is powerful. Nothing is impossible to God.
Another testimonies of healing by the author. The people who was healed was from many denominations. This is how evangelism should do. Nothing theological things in this book, just testimonies of healing.
Enjoyed reading this book very much. Not only great healing stories. The last chapter of the book explains what faith is and is not. Will read more of Kathryn Kuhlmann's books.
I have watched her so many times on YouTube and I've fallen for her so much so that I want to read every piece of her writings. And so, "I Believe In Miracles" is a MUST read.
Story after story speaks of the essence of the Holy Spirit. Seeking Christ is the foundation of excepting all that Jesus has done on our behalf. Do you accept Him first or do you seek Him first. The Holy Spirit continues to be the only magnitude of force. Setting things right, when we have gone of path. I too believe in miracles. Danni
This Book of documented accounts of God's grace and power are astounding . Occurring in the mid 20th century this is a testament to the love and power of God that's still available an amazing read.
This is the third book I’ve read by Kathryn Kuhlman and the Love of God, the Power of God and the Goodness of God flows through every page. I have to put it down to calm down emotionally.
There are scripture verses in the various testimonies and one really jumps out at me because I’m believing God for what in my life would be a miracle second only to the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The verse?
“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for me? “ (Jeremiah 32:27).
As you read this book be encouraged because God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). We can expect to see the same miracles today.
