From best-selling authors Mike Kraus and E.E. Isherwood comes a frighteningly real new post-apocalyptic series.
A radical new mission. A devastating disaster. Survival is no longer guaranteed.

The Tikkanen Kinetic Mining corporation has perfected the science of asteroid mining - or so they say.

When they bring an asteroid in from the asteroid belt and try to put it into orbit around the Earth, though, it turns out things aren't as perfect as they'd like us to believe.

The 1600-meter rock gets loose and plummets down, bringing death and chaos across the entire continental United States. Along with this chaos comes opportunity, though, for those who know where to find it.

Trillions of dollars of valuable minerals locked inside the asteroid are now scattered across the country, fueling even more conflict and destruction as everyone tries to grab a piece of the pie - all while fighting to survive.

Impact is a 6-book post-apocalyptic survival series from the #1 post-apocalyptic author Mike Kraus and USA Today and NYT best-selling author E.E. Isherwood. This series follows the desperate survival of several characters in a post-apocalyptic world, including a mother and father separated from their daughter, a whistleblower pursued by a dangerous assassin, a sociopathic CEO out for profit above all else and a former soldier who teams up with an unlikely ally in the name of survival.

This novel-length post-apoc survival thriller series will be released monthly.

E.E. Isherwood has been a storyteller for over 30 years. Initially the muse took the form of childish comic strips. As a teen it manifested itself under the guise of Dungeons and Dragons adventures. In college it culminated with a Master's thesis on Missouri geography—an extremely boring kind of story. Three decades and several careers later he realized that siren song never stopped, so he began to author books. A life-long enthusiast of apocalyptic fiction, writing about zombies was his passion. Future titles in science fiction and fantasy are in the hopper. He lives in the St. Louis, Missouri area, where his series of zombie books takes place.

Good start for end of world series

Believable characters,and realistic circumstances.
Good mix of older and younger characters. Should go one for many many volumnes. I would have merged .com 1 and two.

This has an interesting premise with an asteroid being driven toward Earth from the mishandling of a corporate mining group. I liked the several Star Trek references but there was some weakness in the science. A chunk the size they described hitting Yellowstone and Paducah would have had a lot more destruction with few if any survivors in a fairly large radius from impact. The atmosphere would have been super-heated in that area. Some of the dialogue was almost silly (Asher telling Grace that the mining company man is going to kill him and she turns to the would-be-killer and says she can't have violence in her park???-yes that usually stops hit men in their tracks). The Kentucky side of the story was better and I really liked Ezra and Susan. I will likely read book 2 and hope that Grace does not get bogged down with making sure people are correctly extinguishing their campfires.

Excellent!

I just discovered this author and I'm currently getting ready to start book 4. I just had to come back to do a rating. This author finishes not just every chapter with a cliff hanger, but a lot of times he leaves cliff hangers with changes of points of view! This is the way writing teachers used to teach book writing, but hardly anyone does it any more, they just stop the paragraph, write the next chapter number, and keep writing. He's one of the best writers I've ever read, and I read a lot. I can hardly wait to read his other books. I will not stop until I've read everything he's ever written! Please keep writing, E E Isherwood. And thank you for such awesome entertainment!

Great start to an apocalypse!

With lots of various causes for fear, loathing, excitement, sorrow, and loss, there is no part of this book that will bore you. Death and destruction rain down from the heavens as an asteroid is towed through space. Murphy’s Law strikes at every turn and brings about the struggle for survival. And there is a young woman separated from her parents by more than a thousand miles, doing so much more than her job entails. The drama just poured out of every page.

An Excitement Filled Book

Anyone who teams up with Mike Kraus becomes a winning author. Impact might become truth some day In the future. Grace and Asher's adventures begin because of corporate greed. Cover ups are what this corporate executive lives by in hope of trillions of dollars in profits. The government is willing to help at this stage but we will see what happens in later books in the series. Ezra and Susan are very believable parents who also fight to survive the impacts. This is an Action Filled book. Enjoy!

Exciting, scary, real

Because we can look around and see the greed of many, it is easy to believe that this scenario could happen. Too easy. At least this book shows how good men and women DO help each other and risk themselves to save one another. I’m really looking forward to the next book, hoping that format continues. I believe in my fellow man while understanding that there are those who think of no one but themselves.

I loved this book. We get 2 different tales, one with daughter at Yellowstone, other with her parents in Kentucky. An asteroid that has broken up crashes into both places with devastating results. But, that’s not the whole story.
I don’t do spoilers, but I will say I laughed, was in fear and yes, I cried. Just the whole gamut.
Grab this book, during the quarantine you have time to read, enjoy!!

company men

I liked the fact that a woman, trainee ranger dug down deep to be a hero. I still don’t understand the clapping thing. I would recommend this book to any apocalyptic reader. It is a little scary to read about epidemics it will be interesting to see how that book compares to the pandemic we are living through now. I gave this four stars because I like this kind of stories.

This post apocalyptic story of an asteroid hitting Earth, is a bit different. Mining is the cause of this apocalyptic scenario. We have gone beyond mining the riches of the Earth and started mining on Asteroids, Meteors full of rich minerals, and of course we have to happen. This is a story of what happens when all that goes terribly wrong.

Perfect as always

I love Mike Kraus. As always be best you involved with the characters and the descriptions of the scenes out you right in the middle of the action. This tail takes you from space to forest fires in Yellow Stone to lakes in Tennessee. I always wondered where Paducah was. Great action, almost from the beginning . A very worthwhile read.

Inbound: Impact

Totally engrossed in this book, I sampled it and could not stop reading. The terrible thing is man always find a way to harm themselves and others. It almost seen like a movie, a very interesting movie, that I eagerly want to see. This is a very realistic story, makes me feel like I am running too.

Reading and reviewing books

What a great read. I loved it. This is almost like a natural disaster, which could happen, but we all like to have a bad guy to blame and hate. Also, very realisation in how things could happen. Both in Yellowstone and in the small private neighborhood. Totally enjoyed reading this and will definitely be looking for more books by these authors

Entertaining

A fantasy tale of an asteroid bound for earth. A Yellowstone Park Ranger, on probation, her parents living in Kentucky and space engineer and of course the greedy owner of the mining outfit which caused the asteroid to veer off course toward earth instead of the moon. Plenty of action and bullets flying. I am ready for book 2.

Short, but Good

I gave this 3 stars mostly because, just when I really got involved with the characters, the book ended. It has an interesting subplot and is worth reading, but I probably would have continued into Book 2: Bounce (which is where I'm going now) and made them one book.

This was a good read.
Would a company consider profit before destroying Earth? As long as no one finds out......
Grace, new in her job aa a ranger in Yellowstone faces fires from meteorite impacts and helping tourists survive the disasters while on the run.
I loved the characters, asteroid mining, greedy corporates and action. You’ll want to read more to see if they make it!

I am glad I discovered your Books!!!

Since the Pandemic started last year I believe I have read at least a couple of hundred books . That being said I liked the first book. Now to read the second. Your style of writing is a little different then I am used to. But I for sure going on to read Bounce. Thanks for the great read.🌹

Entertainment at it's best

If you are a fan of the apoptotic genre, this book is for you. It is well written and clever. This doomsday scenario is also very original with complex characters. My only complaint is I want to read the next book in the series now!

Great start

Oh, boy. My habit is to wait until a series is finished before I read any of it, and I intended to just take a quick peek. Instead, the fast pace sucked me in and I couldn’t stop. Waiting for the rest of this story will be HARD.

Wow

A completely different start to this post apocalyptic series, but plenty of drama and "warning" before it lands. As always a great book on something that could easily happen. Try it you won't be disappointed

Great start to an adventure

I’m an avid reader of disasters as I’m sure one will eventually happen. This was a good starting point. One thing I find irritating in most stories are people doing stupid things. Not the case here. Well played.

Interesting series about an asteroid hitting the United States.
The entire first book takes place in just two days. Bit it still manages to keep up the readers interest. On to book two now.

Inbound is an excellent beginning to an apocalyptic nightmare. I pray it never actually happens but with some human beings and the greed they harbor, I would not be surprised. Great characters and well-described, terrifying events! I can hardly wait to read book two.

Refreshing approach to what currently also fit in the category of science fiction (for who knows how much longer?).
Refreshing down to earth characters with maybe one or two questionable ones mixed in (usually the ones causing the majority of the problems). Onward to the next in thenseries.

The depths of man's greed are astounding!

Apparently this story is exploring how far men will go in the pursuit of greed, and what a father will do to protect his child. I may not get any sleep tonight as I'm going to start book 2 next!
