The prodigal son…

Gabriel Raferty has been in the shadows of his family long enough. As a psychic medium and shifter, his career as a deputy sheriff and now an agent of PRA—Psychic Retrieval Agency, has led to the closing of several cold cases and the recovery of psychic children. He is also the lead authority on a synthetic pheromone-based recreational drug: Éviel.

The forgotten…

Raphael Angelo or Rafe for short, is the lead member of the Fallen Angel division of FPU—Federal Paranormal Unit. After taking some downtime to blow off some steam, he wakes two days later with no memory of what happened. His only clue, a small patch on the back of his leg with the letters, E V I E L.

Two worlds collide…

Before Rafe can bring what little evidence he has of his bender to the labs, he is sent out on a new mission. The dead bodies of two adults and three children have been found in a shallow grave near a burned out warehouse operated by an outlawed faction of the government—Paranormal Bounty Hunters, better known as PBH. Rafe and Gabriel must work together to find the killer and stop the kidnappings from happening again.

But, what happens when the full moon is upon them and the drug coursing through Rafe’s body changes their mission?

Shifter and psychic medium Gabriel Raferty works for the PRA (Psychic Retrieval Agency) as well as being an authority on a synthetic pheromone-based recreational drug called Éviel. Fallen Angel Raphael Angelo (Rafe) works for the FPU (Federal Paranormal Unit) and wakes up after a missing 2 days with only the clue that he has a patch on him saying E V I E L. Before he can take this evidence to the lab he is sent on a new case to investigate a shallow grave containing two adults and three children - the only clue being the location is close to a warehouse operated by shadow government department PBH (Paranormal Bounty Hunters). Rafe and Gabriel need to work together to solve this case as it straddles both their areas. The question is, what happens when the full moon is upon them and the drug coursing through Rafe’s body changes their mission?

I loved this crossover story that covers both series and that the Dad side of things was not as traditional as many other books in the series have been. There was a lot of drama and the story contained plenty of surprises. Well written and very enjoyable it can a good way to tempt you to investigate both series further.

Very intense Read

From the beginning of the book we are just wrapped up in drama and action. Every turn of the page has you sitting on the edge of your seat. The connection to each of the characters is right in front of you to grasp ahold of and get to know.

You learn everything by the details that you read. The Raferty Pack relations gets really confusing, but you get over the chapter and move on.

Until Next Time... Tabi

Star rating does not reflect story.
Picked up through KU as part of the Bad Alpha Dads series.
Once I realised this was about two men being mates, I did not finish as it is not what I want to read.
No disrespect to the author but there was no warning in the blurb that it is about two men or I would not have grabbed it.
