After spending years with Tamia, Rashard has to get to know a new special person in his life. Luckily, he’s no longer in the streets so this time around he can actually focus on his relationship but he quickly learns that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
Tamia lost herself in a relationship so when the breakup happened, she didn’t know which way was up. She takes time for herself to heal before hopping back out into the dating world but she notices something isn’t right with her ex husband’s new girlfriend. That coupled with the bruises that her oldest daughter Angel keeps coming home with, Tamia finds herself filled with rage and not knowing who to aim it at.
Bethany has gone through a lot in her life and when she finally finds the man of her dreams, she refuses to let anyone come in between them, including his children. One thing she’s always been able to count on is her lying skills but is a sharp tongue enough to save her or will her lying deceitful ways be her downfall?
I know this is a spin-off to a previous series, but I don’t feel like I’m missing out. The author did a great job making this a standalone and providing just the right amount of background information so I don’t feel lost. Very good writing. This does make me wanna see all the drama that Tamia and Rashard has gone through previously. Love Tamia, hope she gets her life together for herself and her kids. Rashard I can give or take him. I love that candy is ride or die for Tamia.
Rashard is getting a taste of his own medicine!!! He left Tamia for a fraud and that’s what tf he gets. Bethany needs her ass whipped and I hope Angel tells what happened with Bethany. She seemed crazy delusional pressed and thirsty from the very beginning when her character was introduced. Wtf Ashley mad about? I don’t get why Tamia can’t heal the way she wants and needs without Rashards family smiling in her face as if she isn’t trying to cope and deal with this drastic transition for her and their daughters. Armani I guess she’s trying to change but a little gullible and she needs to try harder with her son try therapy instead of always allowing him to be away from her. I bet any amount of money Bethany is going to be fucking crazy. I do hope Tamia and Rashard can work through their issues and try to mend things. This was a really good book and I’m excited to see what’s about to happen in part 2. Linette King is definitely talented and keeps the good reads flowing.
The description of this book was confusing because it look like Bethany from the description that she was abusing Angel but we only saw one part of the book that she grabbed her arm also it seem like you have to read the other book addicted to him to really understand the story because this book was all over the place. On to book 2 to get get a better understanding on what’s going on.
So, where to start... I didn't know this was a continuation of the Addicted to Him series, but I was glad to see the story go on. I was soooo upset at how that ended, but I see some hope for my favorite people. These characters are drama-magnets and I love it! I just hate that I have to wait for another book (or two). Sorry to be so vague - Doing my best not to spoil this for anyone!
Okay, I need Rashad and Tamia to get back together! They need a therapist! I love me some Candi! She is a true ride or die girlfriend! Hurry up with part two!
