Marked
This book was all bullying and no romance, at all. The few moments that even leaned toward romance were thrown back in her face. Every. Single. Time.
The writing was very good, though, and the author pulled me into the book quickly.
I have to say, the twist at the end, I saw coming a mile away. From the very beginning, it was obvious.
Broken
I liked her getting back at everyone for the crap they all put her through. I do hope that there is more done by the guys for her to make up for the months of suffering they did to her.
There seemed to be some consistency issues. Earlier in the book, I would have sworn that Sofia was told about Adam, but then near the end, it says Val finally told her. I would have bet money she already knew.
Bound
This book... just didn't seem necessary. It felt like just a repeat of the first book, only with blackmail instead. Luckily, things didn't get quite as bad as the first book, though.
I am glad that they all decided to grovel and do nice things in reparation. I just wish she wasn't quite so quick to forgive everyone else who had dropped her, like her friends.
Plus, the twist at the end... I had a suspicion that this would happen and they all would get marked. I remember thinking if that would even be possible. Huh, I guess so.
Unmasked
I kept thinking through the last book and the entire time during this one: Why the heck did she stop using the button cams. I guess she was able to pull them back out to use them when it really matters. It just shouldn't have take so long.
Thoughts over the series as a whole:
The author did a great job, and pulled me right into the world and action going on. I very much enjoyed this series. That being said, damn, everything stretched out so much. Each book takes place over the course of a year, so the series is all of high school. It astounds me that being marked not only lasted as long as it did, but that they allowed it to. They are wanting to get rid of this person, and not only do they not get rid of her after a month, they couldn't even do it over 4 years. Just seems pretty lame at that point.
I don't like that this is high school. I am not a fan of many high school romances, but this one pulled me in. It was very mild on the spice, though, and though they do sleep together, it is pretty sparse, so that works for me.
I may or may not read the next 4 books for their university story. At this point, after what they had to go through in high school, piling on the same students through college too is just not only way too coincidental for the same people, it is just too much, too. After 4 books, I want to read someone else's story, not follow the same people through the rest of their lives.
I was originally at 4 stars, but due to repetition and some consistency issues, plus with how things were just stretched out way too long to make it nearly unbelievable, I went back down to 3.5.
