My wedding day was supposed to be the happiest day of my life. And it was…until it wasn’t. Until Zoe got a message from the stalker we thought had disappeared.
We thought we’d be safe on a dream cruise for our honeymoon. There was no way this psycho could follow us out to sea. Right?
Wrong.
Returning home with crushed spirits and reputations, we resolved to do everything we could to bring this person to justice. When we found out we were expecting six weeks later, something that should have been joyful brought abject terror. How could I keep my wife and unborn child both safe from a lunatic whose actions kept escalating?
Zoe’s stalker played on both of our deepest fears, unearthing memories long buried and shining light on truths that shook us to the core. And when they finally made the mistake that revealed their identity, it changed everything I thought I knew about my past.
Stopping this person was supposed to end it. But no one told me about the aftermath. Would I survive the weight of the knowledge that had been forced on me, or would it crumble the foundation my life was built on and rob me of the only thing I still knew was real?
Trigger Warning: This book discusses the topics of sexual assault, abortion, and mental health.
Note: My Dreams Are Sealed is the seventh book in the Sealed With a Kiss series, and the final book in Elijah’s trilogy, which started with My Fate Is Sealed and My Soul Is Sealed. This trilogy follows the events of Zoe’s trilogy, but from Elijah’s perspective.
Carmen Richter is an old soul. Her words are like theater, masterfully spun to bring all the feels, interspersed with music that makes your heart soar. She needs her coffee to make the words flow, and some of her best writing is done in a caffeine-induced haze at one in the morning with a soundtrack that ranges from jazz standards to rock to show tunes and everything in between. When she's not writing, she loves going to live concerts and especially live theater, or just staying in and binging Criminal Minds or Law and Order: SVU for the zillionth time.
Carmen lives in Kansas City with her boyfriend, Brett, and their two fur babies, a bunny named Marty and a cat named Mal. In addition to writing, she also has two branches of a business that aims to provide quality services to independent authors at a reasonable price. CPR Editing deals with everything inside your book: editing, proofreading, and interior formatting. CPR Designs deals with, well, design: logos and branding, social media graphics, covers, and teasers.
Carmen loves interacting with her fans and will happily respond to all messages personally until she gets uber famous and gets a ton of them. Hey, a girl can dream, right?
My dreams are sealed is the seventh book in this series and these need to be read in order. Carmen promised a sad undertone to this story but in her typical style, this book has so much to offer. Honestly, I feel like you get 3 books for the price of 1.
Elijah and Zoe are back. It’s time for the beautiful tearful wedding. Her mother can’t be there in person but her spirit lives on. The day is everything it should be and more. The more is the part you don’t want. Throughout this series, there has been a character hiding in the wings and now they are threatening to reveal their ugly head. The honeymoon wouldn’t be the same without them!
I don’t want to spoil this book so I don’t want to tell you too much but this is a gritty read with a rollercoaster of emotions. The secrets are all coming out. What started as a forbidden relationship is going to experience the rocky road and test the strongest marriage. Elijah’s past is about the catch up with him and it’s not pretty.
This has a full-length story with flashbacks, letters and beautiful words. I really enjoyed this. It was juicy, scandalous and tied up looming questions.
I’m not an emotional reader, but this has a nice sentimental touch to it.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of this book.
This book is everything I'd hoped it would be. It was raw and real. I'm not going to lie you will cry, you will have your heart broken reading this from Elijah's pov but it will get put back together. This book was absolutely my favourite out of all of Zoe's and Elijah's stories. Yes there is things in this book that can be difficult to read but it is done in a really tasteful way and exactly how it needed to be done. You will definitely not be disappointed with this book.
Woah, hold on to your seats. This book let's the author's talent truely shine. I had to set this book down a few times, either because I was crying and couldn't read or so mad and upset that I had to walk away and realize, Zoe and Elijah were not REALLY my loved ones! The story of "sort of taboo" love comes full circle, with a rollercoaster ride has the bottom drop out. Such wonderful characters come together in all the books in this series, but this one just flat out blows you away. Trigger warnings, flashbacks, mental illness (for lack of better words). Definitely be prepared to run the emotion spectrum.
My Dreams Are Sealed is the 7th book in the series and is book 3 in Elijah's story. These books in this series should be read in order!! Elijah and Zoe started a forbidden relationship and it goes through some rocky stuff. Zoe's stalker continues to stalk Zoe. Zoe is looking forward to a beautiful wedding. Zoe's mom can't be there in person but, she will be there in spirit. Zoe and Elijah's honeymoon gets a bit scary. Then Zoe's stalker shows up at St. Augustine High School and secrets are revealed, and Elijah's past has caught up with him and it isn't so good. I truly loved this book a whole lot!!
This book is an emotional rollercoaster ride and oh so good. It's gritty and real. Zoe's stalker resurfaces, secrets are revealed, and Elijah's past has finally caught up with him. This is such a great book, I definitely recommend you read it for yourself you won't be disappointed.
