Janie Pember gave up work to look after her children, but when her husband takes time out in South Africa she has to find a job. She becomes a fashion editor, and soon it becomes apparent that five years absence makes no difference in the fashion it's still all about hem lengths.
A re read, I think I originally got this at a UK airport for a plane ride. Good fluff, one of the better examples of the genre. You can't anticipate the end by the end of the first chapter, not all of the anticipated horrors come to pass, there's some good twists and turns. And loads of good clothes and models, of course.
