The year is 1860. But once inside she finds far more than just a few unfortunate spirits. With every room haunted, a mad scientist, a giant spider and a crazed monster stalking the corridors, Charlotte’s courage will be tested to breaking point. Yet aided by the strangest ghost hunting colleague ever, she just might have a chance of completing her mission and escaping the mansion with her life. Filled with thrills, scares and a fair amount of hot chocolate, are you brave enough to enter the Entwhistle Mansion?
With two children, two cats, and a a wife he loves very much; Mark likes to write in his spare time. He is always pleasantly surprised when someone likes his work.
This was a wonderful book. Like the Harry Potter series, this book was written for children but is well enough written that an adult can enjoy it as well. The characters are well rounded and the ambiance is such that you have no trouble suspending reality and will willingly fall into young Charlotte's world. Fast paced and easy to read, I highly recommend this book and will be getting the other two books in the trilogy in order to continue to follow Charlotte on her adventures.
This adventure began well but young Charlotte's ghost killing adventures soon became too much of a good thing and all I wanted was for it to be OVER! I cannot imagine what a sequel would contain since the author seemingly went through an huge list of every imaginable ghost in book 1. I won't be reading more from this author.
Charlotte was determined to rid the mansion of the ghosts so her parents could live there. She encountered a lot of them and some were nice and others were nasty! After dealing with all of them, she left the mansion just in time because it fell completely down and was left with a big pit where it had been! Must read to find out all she went through!!
This book/story should be made into a movie. It is a page turner and would keep your attention to the very end. I would recommend this book to new/ young adults and adults who are fans of paranormal and fantasy stories.
I was entangled in the tale of haunting and bravery of a young girl and mold! It wasn't an ordinary ghost 👻story but with characters you met and liked. Can't wait to read book 2!
