Excerpt from Chapter One:
In the middle of the night the sound of my front door woke me from a restless slumber. Switching on my bedside lamp, I glanced at the clock. It was half-past one, and my boyfriend Marcus promised to drop by after he’d dealt with an unexpected crisis. No doubt his frustration was behind the heavy slam of the door. Rising from bed, I wrapped the sheet around my naked body and walked to the top of the stairs, peering down to the darkness at the figure standing below.
“Marcus?” I called.
The figure stood still, his head bowed, his presence evoking an ominous feeling. He moved to the foot of the stairs and I realized it wasn’t Marcus.
There was an uninvited man in my home.
The knowledge terrified me. Fear gripped my core, generating pools of sweat that trickled between my breasts and cascaded down my body. I scuttled back to my bedroom and locked the door. My heart pounded as I looked around in the dark for a weapon. I’d always meant to buy a gun but never got around to it. I wished I wasn’t such a damned procrastinator.
I found nothing I could use. What should I do?
I searched the room wildly for my smartphone before remembering I’d left it in my purse.
In the living room downstairs.
Fuck.
I stood facing the door, listening as the sound of footsteps increased, bringing an air of eeriness.
My ass was toast.
The footsteps paused at the top of the stairs. I held my breath, hoping with all my might that the intruder would not enter my room. My hope was in vain, however. The door knob turned slowly as he tried to enter. Backing from the door, I considered escaping through the window, but the thought of jumping twenty feet and breaking a leg or neck had no appeal.
I kept praying that the door would hold. Anxiety fleeted around me, heating my already hot body. The sheets were damp with my sweat, so I removed them and pulled a robe from my drawer. As I closed the drawer, there was a heavy thud as he tried to kick the door open.
Tugging on the robe, I decided to take a chance with jumping. Lifting the window, I stuck one leg through just as the door sprang open, splintering at the edges. I pulled my body through and my head collided with the window jam. As I groaned with pain, his hand gripped my other leg, but before I could scream he called out, “Camille! It’s me!”
Instantly, my mouth went dry. My body convulsed. The trembling intensified when I made out the figure who’d broken into my home.
It was Noah, my ex-boyfriend.
A man who fucked me senseless, then dismantled my heart and returned to his wife.

Hi! I was born in Kingston, Jamaica. From an early age I developed the habit of binge reading which led me to my love of romance, mystery and suspense novels. I began writing in my teens (newspaper articles and short stories). With encouragement from my family and friends I wrote and self-published my first novel.

Through my intriguing novels I offer a temporary escape from reality. I'm passionate about providing an unforgettable experience to my readers.

I love being in the water, whether pool, lake or sea (although I can't swim lol. I think it's time that I learn). I'm also a food blogger, a dance choreographer and a social media fanatic. I enjoy dining out, I live for days at the spa and I love island trotting.

Side chicks can’t be this dumb!(Spoiler Alert)

Ok so I figured I knew where this book was going in the beginning. So after dating for years and expecting to marry her college sweetheart, Carter broke Camille’s heart by marrying another women the day of her graduation. She devastated to say the least. She meets a married man and thinks that NSA relationships are for her because they are safe. Ok I can understand that. But Camille gets emotionally attached and her heart broken every single time thinking these married men are going to leave their wives for her! Idiot! She even talks to some of the wives and tells them about the affairs she’s been having with their husbands, and each time the wives and the husbands dismiss her. While reading this book I just couldn’t understand and I thought! “Are side chicks really this stupid?”

Captivating

The story was a captivity read Great romantic thriller with lots of forbidden heat. I liked how the characters were successful, professionals in the field, not the usual downtrodden mix. Loved how the story unfolded. Scorning heat and action descriptively written from beginning to end.

The book had me hooked from the beginning. I connected with the main character, Camille; her flaws and her heartbreak. Noah's obsession brought a twisted intrigue that was dark...but hot.
Awesome story line. Loved the steamy scenes and the twists. Definitely getting the sequel.

Weird

This a weird tale of weird. I can’t even spoil it because I am not sure what it’s about. I think the h had a curse put on her. I mean that wasn’t explicitly mentioned, but it the only thing that makes the most sense.
