Rebels Of Sidyth ##0.5

Educated by the Alien

Rate this book
Arizona’s been an Intergalactic Call-Girl for so long that nothing shocks her anymore, but when a freckle-faced, smartass comes into her life, she’s intrigued.

Alluring Blythe knows aliens can’t be trusted until one seems determined to prove there’s kindness hidden in even the darkest corners of the universe.

This is a prequel novella set in the Rebels of Sidyth series but can be read at any time. It includes a preview chapter of Purchased by the Alien (Book #1) and Guarded by the Alien (Book #2) and is a great introduction to the sci-fi romance series with guaranteed HEAs and hot alien action.

Brothel in the stars

Travel to the stars and get paid to entertain is what the contract says until you get to the center and realize that it is a training center for intergalactic call girls. Then you have nowhere else to go nor can you get out of the contract. So the story begins with several different women and how they became entrapped in the oldest business ever.

Good introduction to the series and I can’t wait to read more on these characters I’m already in love and have barely started

The story line is very intriguing, and I am already in love with the characters! This sci-fi romance series is going to be a great one! I can't wait to see what Kade has in store for us.

Arizona is one of the long-time Intergalactic Call-Girls. She trains and cares for the women who either sign up to service aliens or are kidnapped and dropped into that life from which there is no escape. Arizona provides a family for the women who need something to hold onto. The latest newcomer is Kyla, who has taken up with Dasal, not realizing he is lying to her about buying her contract and taking her away from this life. Dasal uses all the right words and she sees him as her only hope to get back home or at least to some sort of safety. Arizona knows the truth and tries to convince Kyla she is wasting her time with him.

When Kyla still stubbornly insists that Dasal will rescue her, Arizona makes a deal with him, offering her own experienced companionship in exchange for his leaving Kyla alone. Washington is the only woman who sees the sacrifices Arizona is willing to make for her “family”, knowing the girl probably won’t even realize what Arizona saved her from as she stares at the horrible bruising all over Arizona’s body. And she likewise pointed out to Arizona that her obsession with creating a family is pointless and has to stop. With Dakota, Alaska, Washington, Arizona, and hopefully this new girl, Arizona says she will have people she can trust and she will stop gathering. It seems to be Kyla’s freckles that make her unique and fuel Arizona’s obsession to have her in the family.

But Kyla flat-out refuses to have anything to do with Arizona, convinced she can survive on her own -- at least until two tentacle Octonods drag her down the hallway to make use of her. Dasal is with them, but he stops to tell Arizona he will not touch Kyla. But he arranged this because Arizona forced him to give up what he wanted, and he won’t let a human do that to him. The Octonods are petty revenge to get back at Arizona. Kyla has apparently also realized her place in the galaxy. And Dasal knows that her next assignment will be the Drakens who will rip her apart, have her sewn up again, and pass her to the next. She will be destroyed. So Arizona bargains once again to save her for her family. This is the last one, and her family is now complete.

There is a short story that follows about Blythe’s experiences. But the first section that I included here gives the reader a history of what these captured women have to face. It’s pretty bad when the only hope is to join Arizona’s “family” where she has some control over the customers she directs them to! But the bigger picture is how people will draw together for safety and protection – survival is the key and can make some of the horrible choices possible over even worse ones. And then, like for Blythe, there could even be something better, a new life waiting to happen.

What the hell is this book? I’m sorry if that is aggressive but seriously. This was like multiple stories smashed into one little novella? Who thought this was a good idea?

It all takes place on some kind of space station that I guess trains earth girls to be prostitutes for aliens, it took until the 2nd story (I guess) for it to be made clear the girls are used by the guards on this base. The whole world building is severely lacking and makes no sense, half the time they just mention training and give you no context for what that means. The first story (?) is just some girl gathering other girls for her family? I don’t know what that means. It doesn’t really go anywhere feels like the first few chapters of a longer story.

Then it immediately changed over to some other girl who (who also is training here?!?) and is being used by some alien and she goes for medical help and instantly falls for the alien doctor, and he does the same. Literally within minutes of knowing each other they are expressing deep feelings for one another and it’s just laughable. I’m sorry, it would have been more believable if he just wanted to bang her but no we got some rushed half assed attempt to make it seem like they cared for one another.

Then it switches again to some other story and that’s when I stopped. This is was just an absolute mess and I don’t understand the goal that was set out in this.

—-also before I forget the alien men are the most confusing sounding aliens I have ever come across in a sci-fi romance. Is he half horse? Is he man like with horse attributes? Is he furry or hairy? Those are two different things in my mind. I can’t not picture these aliens looking even remotely capable of being compatible humans.

This is the prequel to the series Rebels of Sidyth. You are getting to know some of the women who are in the series and their background story. You don't know about the Rebels of Sidyth yet, but once you get into the story, when they talk about the women, at least you would have been introduce to a few of the women.

In this prequel, you are introduced to the 'State girls', Arizona, Alaska, Dakota, Washington and the new girl, Kansas. These women, for one reason or another, are considered Interplanatory Call-Girls. The girls stated are at a Training Center where Arizona first sees Kansas and wants her to become part of her family. The family of Call-Girls who have to do what they are told, or die. Arizona is the one who steps up and takes one for the team to protect the others.

You also read about Blythe, on how she came to be a Call-Girl and what she went through in her Training Center.

I liked reading these novellas about the girls because I started the series a bit late so now I can understand a bit of the women's backgrounds to understand what makes them the way they are in the stories. This is fantastic world building in that it is in the future where humans were considered just barely above animal status. Their lives were considered worthless, like they didn't even have a brain to think with or feelings to be taken into consideration.

You don't HAVE to read this to be able to read and understand the rest of the series, but it sure is nice having a bit of background knowledge to start with.

There seems to be two short stories in this book. One is about Arizona and the family she is gathering. All the girls in these two stories are Intergalactic Call Girls. They have signed their life away for money. Kyla is the last girl that Arizona wants to add to her family. So there will be five girls in her troup. Arizona, Washington, Alaska, Dakota and the newbie who will be named Kansas. Then the next story is about Blyth, She doesn't have the good fortune of finding anyone to help her along the way for her assignments. She does meet someone before she ships out but they can't buy her contract so she can't stay with him. Books were very short and strange. All in all it seems that human women are only good for being call girls in these stories. All in all it seems that human women are only good for being call girls in these stories. Not a lot of sex in either story. Not really much excitement. Just learn what you have to do to survive. They all learn their place one way or another.

Indicated as a sci-fi Alien Romance but I did not find that in the first part of this book. You will be introduced in a background story about the life of an Intergalactic Call Girl (prostitute for Aliens). The story of Kyra trying to escape from a life as a call girl but realizing that an alien will not save her.

Part 2 of this book is a bit more like romance. Blythe tries to earn money quickly to take care of her sick father. Sex with an alien is not something she can enjoy until she meets Solass. Despite his kindness, Blythe knows she can't stay with him. Soon afterwards she will be sent to her 1st assignment ..... and then the "Rebels of Sidyth" series will start

I thought it was a messy storyline, very short stories. It did not give me an incentive to read further books in this series

Educated by the Alien by Sabrina Kade is an introduction into the world that girls bought on or stolen from Earth to be trained at to be intergalactic call girls. It basically showcases the training center they are brought to before their contract is sold and the lengths that one girl named Arizona will go to help another newbie trainee. This book builds a world where the new girls are taught how to interact with and please the many different alien species to whom they can be sold to in the future. This romantic read that is a prologue novella to the Rebels of Sidyth series. This novella was interesting and definitely held my attention so it is the perfect book if your looking for a quick and interesting science fiction romantic short read. Educated by the Alien is a short spine tingling romance novella.

Read the fine print

I wish this short introduction story contained more backstory for the characters. As written, the story seems to be a minimal bit to cover the basics. Oh yes, just as a disclaimer, this book contains adult subject matter.

Consider the following

If reading about call girls for aliens turns you on,

if reading about humans being sex slaves to multiple types of aliens is your thing (read the fine print on any contract,)

if the idea of call girls sending the money they will earn back to earth for their families and loved ones to use is a good thing,

then you will love this series.

Educated - is the prequel to this new series Rebels Of Sidth. It is a short story intro into this new Sci-fi Alien Romance series. It provides a well detailed descriptive backstory. Along with well detailed world building descriptions & settings. A unrivaled writing style that captures the uniqueness of the story. For a short tale the character's are well thought out & grounded. Looking forward to reading Purchased the first book in this new Sci-fi Alien Romance Series that looks like it will bring a fresh new outlook on Sci-fi Romances.

Really Good

This book has a little bit for everyone. First it will always be free, as it's the lead-in to the rest of the 11 book series. Once you finish the prequel, it offers 3 more insights into the world of human women whored out to be "pleasure" slaves to the rest of the universe. I say pleasure euphemistically. The writing style is really enjoyable, with every character having distinctive voices. The aliens are strange, I mean really strange, but from the book cover, I gather the main aliens look like us.

This was a different cautionary tale on ‘be careful what you wish for’. Women all over earth are enlisted to travel thru space as entertainers. What they aren’t told can be very bad for them. I really enjoyed it because women are thought too little of even now. This is set in the future and it hasn’t changed much. But then even men of earth aren’t too highly respected, because we of earth don’t belong to the Galactical Federation. Our brain power has not developed as much as the aliens think it should have. Give it a read & follow the sequels to this well written intrigue.

Not sure if this is one whole novel or several? Had me annoyed when reading it as it kept going to Epilogue after Epilogue and click for another book entirely - then heard about other characters... Call girls? Intergalactic hookers? Not so sure about that, because they did not do much at all except talk amongst them selves. They story is there how ever, but i feel it needs to be re-written as one novel, with out the breaks and with steamy antics! after all they are supposed to be intergalactic call girls.

Educated means being trained to be a call girl for aliens, any alien, any time.

Not what I'd consider a romance, when the majority of the story is about girls either stolen to be whores, or convinced they were going to be "entertainers", then sent to a "how to be a good whore" school and then sold or farmed out on "assignments". Very little of anything nice happens to these girls. Only one actually meets an alien who wants her to be his "chosen", and the last girl that happened to supposedly ended up hunted and dead.

This is a beautiful beginning of this new series. I have started reading it already. I wish I had found this book first because of the story with Solass. It prepares you for the start of Blythe and Morgan's relationship. But I thought the feelings of Solass is heartwarming and touching. It gives you a warm feeling somewhere in your chest. You did very good, Sabrina. This is what great authors should strive for.

Sabrina Kade has given us an intriguing sci-fi fantasy that is well-written and has a great flow throughout the book. Her characters are funny, exciting and endearing. This story was just too short. I wanted more! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series! I highly recommend this story as your starting point for this series.

Short novella

This is not a novella, but more akin to background and depth to two of the key characters in this series with a short ‘book’ for each.

I am not sure that I enjoyed this but it did fill in a few gaps which was useful
Should you read this - yes. You may not ‘adore’ the book, but worth reading if you follow the series

Arizona and Blythe are intergalactic call girls and live a life that's become nothing but survival. I enjoyed the glimpse into their world but was disappointed only 50% of the book is content, the rest is teasers for the next books. I feel like I was missing out but I did like this author's writing and I'll be checking out the series to see how things end up for the girls. Good sci-fi detail and intricate plot. Can't wait to read more from this slave driven alien world.

This is the prequel to a new series by a new author. Short and sweet this is the perfect introduction to a new Sci-fi alien romance. The world building and characters merge perfectly and the descriptive backstory does not bore you to bits. I can not wait to read Purchased, the first book for the series. This is perhaps a reminder to all that they should read a contract fully, before signing on the dotted line. Otherwise, your entertainment gig may be more like a human slave or pet to some alien in a far off galaxy.
Interesting storyline, causing a cringe at the thought of what alien's may be out the in space, and how us humans would be looked at.

I've read all kinds of books but this is something new and completely different to me. It shows how greedy most humans are and it's in a different way than it's normally shown. These girls can be stupid not to read the contract, but it is nice to see that even in some of the worst positions you can be in there are still good people out there even if they are selfish and self motivated.

Those two shorts stories included in thus book kept me quite interested. Both showing cruelty and use of women as well as there is some good out there. Either just by giving momentary refuge as long as possible or by giving aliens what they seek the most to “save” someone else. It was interesting read.

There are some triggers in this short story due to how women are viewed and treated. That aside it’s a great introduction into a new series that promises to be fast paced and exciting. This is my first time reading this author, but it shall not be my last.

Ends at 65%

Not happy that I bought this only to discover it ends at 65% and then I'm reading pieces of other books. I knew it was short, but barely over half the content was the book I purchased.
