Sometimes lady luck shakes your hand, and sometimes she smacks your face. Sometimes she does both on the same day.

Three years ago I met the most amazing girl in the world. We were both down on our luck. Then I got that call—the one that tells you to get your buns on a plane to go meet your destiny.

But the girl was left behind. I didn’t have her phone number, and she didn’t know my real name.

While I became a professional hockey player, she became a superstar, with platinum records and legions of fans. And a slick, music producer boyfriend who treated her badly.

But fate wasn’t done with us yet. When Delilah turns up at a hockey game, I can’t resist making contact. The internet swoons when I ask her out on a date.

She might not remember me. But her jerkface ex does. He’ll do anything to keep us apart.

Good thing athletes never give up. This time I’m playing for keeps.

Hockey books are my favorite sports romances and Sarina Bowen writes them so well. Superfan is the third in the ‘Brooklyn’ series. It’s Silas’ book and one I’ve been waiting for.

Silas is the goalie of the Brooklyn Bruisers and he’s a fan of this specific female musician. All of his teammates know and give him a bit of crap, but what they don’t know is Silas has a history with this girl. Right before they both made it big, they met and had a thing. It’s been three years since they’ve seen each other and thanks to a Twitter interaction they have a date.

Delilah is shocked when she sees Silas again. I loved seeing into their past and watching them truly get to know each other. Silas was so sweet, romantic, and really cared for Delilah and I adored them together. Delilah has been through a lot in her life. Even though she seems to have it great now, things still aren’t easy for her. But Silas, he makes everything better.

Superfan is a sweet and steamy slow burn sports romance. I loved the friendship between the team and getting to see all my favorite characters again. Silas may be the best hero of this bunch yet. This was definitely a win!!

SUPERFAN was a wonderful surprise!

I was expecting it to be a regular sports romance – color me surprised when it turned out to be so much more. The merging of two of my favorite genres sports romance and rockstar romances really did it for me.

Give me a good sports romance with a mighty fine hockey player and I am in reading heaven. This was my introduction to the ”Brooklyn” series and after having read this one, I know I will be making time to get to the books I’ve missed. ”SUPERFAN” was entertaining and incredibly steamy. A second chance romance between a pop star and a professional hockey player is a surefire recipe for a top of the charts selling hit! I loved that Silas and Delilah met before their careers took off and that the years apart had done nothing to extinguish the intense attraction they had between them. There’s also plenty of drama thrown in to keep the plot interesting. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for us in the next installment.

Here are my overall ratings:

Hero: 4
Heroine: 4
Plot: 4
Angst:
Steam: 4.5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 4.5

”SUPERFAN” releases on June 25th!

Oh what a fun surprise!!!!!!!
Love when you mix some tropes, especially when you mix the favorites!!!! Yummmmm is all I can say!! Steaming Yummmm!

I fell for Silas & Delilah. I loved their journey and man oh man did I enjoy their ride!!!! When you find that you are surprised at how much you love a character, it makes the book that much better for you, I believe in the connection!! Silas and Delilah met before each of their careers took off, so coming together was fun to relight their relationship. These two are it, the IT couple, the power couple, so hard not to fall for them.

So, even if you haven't read the previous books, although they are sexy and fun, this can be read as a standalone. I hands down recommend this read to you Sports & Rock Romance lovers

I had no clue Silas was going to turn out to be so adorable but holy swoon, Batman! I loved him and his sweetness. It's not something that comes to mind when you think of a sports romance, but he was completely different from the usual cocky athletes. He was a little shy, super loving, and really romantic when it came to Delilah.

Their story was intriguing and had a nice flow to it. It wasn't overly dramatic, but had some angst and suspense to it that I enjoyed. Overall though it was a fun book to read and the characters made it easy to fall into their world. I loved seeing Silas with Delilah and their interactions always kept a smile on my face. Definitely a book I recommend reading. I would say it can be read as a standalone without any issue. Old characters have some cameo's but there are no spoilers.

Absolute perfection. The best book boyfriend of 2019...no, maybe the best book boyfriend ever?
Review to come after I compose myself...

So I'm not all that composed yet. I loved this book so much that I haven't felt like reading anything else. Silas and Delilah's story touched me so much that it may have replaced Brooklynaire as my favorite Sarina Bowen story. Everything just clicked for me. I liked the originality of how the H/h first met, their years apart and what happened to them, the Twitter date, the reunion, and the eventual romance. I liked and admired singer/songwriter Delilah, I felt sympathy for her upbringing in foster care and how she just wanted someone to love her. And who better than one of my all time favorite book boyfriends than hockey goalie Silas Kelly? Really is there a sweeter guy? A more supporting friend/lover? A perfect combination of beta and alpha? I was just seriously impressed with this guy, who would do anything for the woman he loves. You know how readers say a book gives them the 'feels'? Well this book gave me the feels and the 'sighs'. Don't know how SB can top this one, because it was absolute perfection in my eyes. I am a Superfan of this series!

I think I need to break up with Sarina Bowen. We've had an amazing run, I've read (and loved) like 85% of her books, but the newer ones I just don't click with. This book specifically, it was a really great story. It really was hence 3 stars. What fell flat for me was the romance. I didn't feel the connection, it was very insta-lovey for me, and then everything was just kind of perfect. I need a little bit of angst in my romance.

I think it's just me not loving Bowen's new work, so please ignore my picky tastes and read this book for yourself.

Sarina Bowen's stories are my comfort reads, perfect when you're in a rut. I've said it before - her writing is like coming home. No long transition time from your last book into this one, wonderful descriptions, witty and clever dialogues and lovable characters. I could stop here because this all applies to Superfan but this one is even more special and it's one of my favorites by this author.

Silas is the sweetest. Even though he also experiences difficult times he never loses the positive outlook on life. He is a bit of a klutz and a dork which makes him even more adorable. He knows exactly what he wants and is very clear about it. And damn, when he opens his mouth he is sex on a stick.
“I’m willing to make a very large fool of myself if it means I have a real chance with you.”

When Silas and Delilah meet the first time they both are still nobodys. They have an instant connection and a sweet friendship but fate stops their budding feelings just before they progress into more. Three years later they meet again and I'm happy that it wasn't the big drama I expected - Delilah forgives Silas fast for standing her up the last time they were supposed to meet.
My troubles seem smaller when I’m lying next to him.

Delilah is a survivor, someone who came from nothing and has the bite to make use of her musical talent and rise to the top. She is ambitious without being difficult and bitchy. Her stardom isn't something she feels completely comfortable about but it comes with the job. She's humble and endearing and kind - I loved her altruism, that she shared without making a big deal about it.
For someone who is required to meet and charm strangers all the time, I’m not very good at it.

One of my favorite part is always the dynamic between the guys of the team. The smack-talking always makes for some good laughs. In SUPERFAN we are witness to Nate and Becca's wedding - I loved this part so much!

I had so much fun with this story - from the way Silas and Delilah reconnected to them getting to know one another on a deeper level, their sexy and playful connection. How Silas had so much heart and sweetness and patience. Delilah, who recognized a good man despite her bad experience. Silas's nickname and how it came to be. Admittedly, after finishing the previous book, in which we got hints of Silas's story, I was expecting something completely different but I'm not disappointed at all. SUPERFAN is one of the sweetest books in the Brooklyn Bruisers series. It's lighthearted, cute and the perfect beach read. I am excited and looking forward to the next in this series. I wonder who it will be about?

I’ve always loved the Bruiser’s goalie, Silas, not only is he an absolute sweetheart but he's brought some giggles so I was so looking forward to his and Delilah’s story.

description “I’m willing to make a very large fool of myself if it means I have a real chance with you.”

Unfortunately I found Superfan underwhelming. Maybe that’s because it came off the back of my Brooklynaire and Overnight Sensation binge with both hitting all the spots, and although Delilah and Silas were good together, I did roll my eyes a couple of times at Delilah (Sarina Bowen is usually one of the more considerate authors I read in terms of awareness of real issues, but here she dropped the bat a couple of times), and I just think I expected more based on the build-up from the previous book.

description I’ve been me all my life. It comes easy.”

I still love the Brooklyn Bruisers though, and we do get to witness Nate and Becca’s nuptials along with plenty of verbal sparring from all the characters we’ve come to love so it wasn’t a struggle, it just wasn’t my favourite of the series: if there’s to be more I’m here for it.

Truth.

I had to think on this one a few days primarily because there's nothing wrong with it other than it not being super memorable.

While reading Superfan I was invested in Silas and Delilah's journey. I wanted them to find a way to navigate the obstacles both of their careers inherently pose. I was rooting for them but when it happened I found myself thinking, (a) that was easier than I envisioned it being and (b) how many Bruisers are going to end up with their sweethearts in the same building in Brooklyn?

Quibbles aside, Superfan is extremely readable, something I've come to expect with SB's writes. It's a second chance romance that's packed with good feels and two likable protagonists. It also fulfilled my desire to peek in on previous couples and how their coupletry is progressing, which is something I find comforting.

Silas, simply put, is the guy you marry. He's caring without being overbearing. He's protective without sliding into alphaholedom. He's generous both in and out of the bedroom and, mostly importantly, he's crazy about Delilah; his most fervent desire is to share his life with her. In short, he will melt reproductive organs far and wide.

Delilah is a bit guarded having been burned multiple times in her life but the bottom line is she too is ass over teakettle when it comes to a certain hockey player. But she's also trying to break into the next level within the music industry and doesn't want to rely on Silas for the wrong reasons. I appreciated her independent spirit as well as the details regarding the music biz that SB included.

Their romance largely evolves smoothly. Told in flashbacks from both of their perspectives that illustrated their instantaneous attraction which I found touching. Maybe their romance could've done with a bit more conflict but that would've detracted from the fluffy. Plus, I think the storyline involving Delilah's wanker of an ex was supposed to satisfy the conflict quotient of the romance algorithm.

Special shout out goes to Mr. Muscles who referred to Silas as a unicorn which, frankly, deserves a bajillion stars in and of itself. I sincerely hope we've not seen the last of him because I soooooooo want that gentle giant to find a unicorn of his very own.

I'm looking forward to whomever comes next in this series and would recommend Superfan to fans of the series or anyone in need of a feel good read.

4 Two Stars Finally Together Stars

One of the keys to excellent series writing is to create secondary characters readers want to know more about. It can tricky in developing this interest because if the author gives too much page time, then the feel of the book will feel divided, losing the focus of the main story. What is wonderful about Sarina Bowen's writing is her innate ability to balance this fine line. She could teach a Master's Class. With Superfan (Brooklyn, #3), she gives us everything we had wanted when we first were introduced to Silas.

We are the fly on a wall when Silas first meets Delilah.
He is wearing a shirt with the name Ralph on it, an inside joke with the owner of the bar he is working at. He is at the bar trying to figure out his next step. A goalie without a team is not a good thing. Hockey is Silas's life, has been since childhood but even with all the positive things that had happened earlier, he right now is in limbo. He is waiting for his agent to reach him with The Call, yes, the one which would set him up with an actual NHL placement. So until he figures out what is next, he is working at the bar in Austen while the music festival is in town.

Delilah walks into Silas's bar and asks for a beer in a very particular way. Silas never questions why and just does as she asks. He looks at this woman who has a gleam in her eye and notebook in hand. A brief conversation happens as it would at a bar and Silas is keeping his interest in her secret. Both feel comfortable with each other, loose friendly and a hook is started, Silas asks Delilah for her telephone number and she's not giving it up.

Delilah is an extremely talented singer/songwriter. She is looking for a break and has been trying to get a record company to take her on. She has tied herself to a guy who is connected, wealthy, and believes in her talent. He is annoying and crass, though. Since Silas grew up in the area, he knows this guy and has a history with him. Delilah lets Silas know she is playing at a venue and he goes to see her. She stunned him. She took the audience who at first wasn't interested and led them on a journey of heart and steam. By the end, everyone was clapping, standing on their feet.

For the three weeks, Delilah is there; she comes to the bar, hangs with Silas, and asks for her telephone number. Finally, she agrees to meet him for a surfing lesson. He is jazzed and ready to move this forward when he gets The Call. He has to catch a plane in an hour to join the NHL team.

Delilah waits, Ralph never shows. Yes, this is the name she knew him as. She knows he cannot call, he had no number so after waiting for a long time, she leaves with the guy who has been helping her get a deal.

Fast forward...

Silas is now with the Brooklyn Bruisers as their top goalie. The team is tight, all of the guys are close and love to tease him about his devotion to the superstar singer. They even got him special tickets to see her for his birthday but the weather didn't allow them to fly back in time. Now the guys and their women are sitting around watching the playoff between Los Angeles and the team that knocked them out of the series, Dallas. Silas believes LA will win with all the others laughing. The cameras scan all the celebrities in the stands and it singles out Delilah in a Dallas jersey. Silas cannot believe it. He writes a tweet to her about how LA will never forgive her when LA wins. He asks the PR woman who is there to get Delilah an LA jersey asap from him. She works her magic and he sees her change the jersey. His friends take the phone away from him and send a tweet of how he wants to take her out when LA wins. It looks like Dallas is not going to let it happen and then...

Bam, LA rocks the rink and they win.
Delilah answers she will go out with him...But you see, she has no idea he is Ralph from so long ago. She only saw pictures with his Goalie mask on.

Delilah has gone through so much. She did get her record deal but not with an established company. It was with the guy who believed in her. He used his own money to promote her and she was so lost when Silas never showed up, she started a relationship with this man. Her talent came through and she rocked to stardom. Over the years she realized being with him was a mistake. She has broken up with him and she is fighting to get her second album out. He is holding it back because he wants her to get back with him. This is what is happening with Delilah when she accepts the date.

When these two meet for their "date", the shock Delilah has is staggering. She has always felt lost and hurt by this man. Silas had things to say. With all of these things aired...out in the open, it is now time for these two to come together.

Oh, this story... Silas was so amazing for Delilah and she was everything he wanted. We have a couple to root for and he gives Delilah all the support she needs and when they finally get together, it is demanding, sweet and steamy as all get out.

There is a secondary part of the story to cause some intrigue and it all comes together in the end. If you have been part of the Brooklyn Bruisers series... loving how all of the books have been these perfect moments, then you will totally want to get this one asap. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Maybe my favourite of the three, so far? For a second I got confused what series I was reading, having just read a Chicago Rebels installment (not the same author), but then my brain caught up, lolz.

I've deleted two versions of some kind of review for this so I think I'll just throw in the towel now. It was good, sometimes, great; there was a villain, he was bad; the romance went from zero to turbo speed, which was kind of not amazing, but I guess that's what happens in sorta-second chance romances? I liked the hockey stuff, the ensemble, I'm forever a sucker for that. I liked that this featured someone from the foster system who actually had a good childhood; maybe not perfect but no trauma. It was a footnote, not the story. The ending was crazy cavity sweet.

And there's some bonus epilogue and extras I've still to read because my kindle is across the room and I'm too lazy to get it. So I'll come back and update this with thoughts once I've read them.

Update : bonus epilogue was sweet but predictable.

Silas Kelly is a gorgeous 25 yr. old professional athlete from Northern California who is the goalie for the Brooklyn Bruisers hockey team. He has a fabulous career, and wonderful friends, but hasn’t found that special someone, unless you count the one that got away. Delilah Spark is still the face that fills his dreams, and his friends enjoy kidding him about his healthy obsession with her. They met three years ago at a low point in both their lives. The timing was bad, and a misunderstanding and obstacles keep them apart. Now it seems fate is giving him a do over when Delilah turns up again in his life. She’s still just as devastatingly beautiful, and he wants another chance to get things right.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Delilah Spark is a famous celebrity singer/songwriter. Her music career is soaring, but her love life is imploding. After her jerk of an ex treated her so horrible, she decides she needs a break from men. Then she crosses paths with a man from her past she’s never forgotten. She still remembers their connection and the way he made her feel. He was always such a great guy, and the magnetic energy between them still sizzles. Now he’s also a hot hockey player she can’t resist. As passion ignites between them, will others try to tear them apart?

-Nobody has ever kissed me so reverently.

-It’s been a long time since I was handled so beautifully. Maybe ever.

-It’s like our souls vibrate at exactly the same frequency. And I have no idea what to do with that.

Superfan (Brooklyn, #3) by Sarina Bowen is a fantastic second chance, rock star/sports romance. It’s my first in this series, and I just loved it! It’s one of my favorites by this author. It’s such a cute, fun story full of flirty banter, sexy swoony hockey players, and red hot chemistry!

A second chance for a Spark to ignite...

****4.5 Stars****

I honestly thought by the title, that the Superfan was going to be the heroine. I guess after 'meeting' the Bruisers I just assumed that all the women were going gaga over them as much as I am. How utterly captivated I was to learn that the Superfan was Silas, the goalie, over Delilah Spark. Sure, I was having a doey moment considering I know that Silas has a wee bit of an infatuation with Ms Spark. But, in true narrow-minded...I've read too much romance...judgement, I automatically assumed a sports romance hero would have a Superfan. Me and my silly *going in blind* mentality. I don't have to check a blurb to preorder a Sarina Bowen, Brooklyn, it's just an auto-buy.

I really enjoyed this second chance at love story and it reinforced my opinion that Sarina Bowen's hockey guys are THE BEST!! Silas is one of the sweetest guys EVER. He is not egotistical, self-serving or arrogant, if anything, he's the complete opposite. I absolutely loved his devotion to Delilah that kicked in from almost the minute they met. It was even sweeter considering their first meeting was before either of them became a sports star or rockstar. It was cute and sweet but unfortunately just not the right time for either of them. Circumstances split them apart and it will be years before they get a chance to see if their initial feelings were worth exploring.

Superfan is the kind of story that leaves me completely satisfied. The storyline kept me captivated from start to finish. The characters were fun, original and completely lovable. The baddie made my skin crawl, and the additional characters were fun and came to life for me. I enjoyed seeing Silas and Delilah connect both in the bedroom and out, and my heart beat that wee bit quicker at their first touch. I was left very happy in the end.

If you're looking for an entertaining sports romance with lots of heart, a few laughs and plenty of steamy bits, I highly recommend giving Sarina Bowen's, Bruiser's a go.

Story 4 stars

It was so fun to revisit Superfan via audio. Aaron Shedlock was so wonderful as Silas and was just the right amount of sweet and sexy. Virginia Rose really sparkled (Sorry! I couldn't help myself!) as Delilah. Their voices complemented each other very well and this was the perfect way to reread this book.

*****
Superfan was the blending of so many of my favorite tropes - second chance romance, sports, rock star, and even a touch of suspense thrown in for good measure. I couldn't wait to find out more about good guy Silas and what his story was with Delilah Spark. This is part of the Brooklyn series, but can be enjoyed as a standalone. I do recommend reading the previous books, however, because they're awesome and also because characters from those books do appear throughout the series.

Silas was just as wonderful as I thought he would be and more. He was sweet and thoughtful, but also assertive when he needed/wanted to be. There was a gentleness and vulnerability to him that I found so endearing, but what I really loved was how well he listened and how patient he was. Yes, there were times he was unsure and nervous, but he was confident enough to give Delilah the control and independence she so desperately needed. I loved that he was all in from the very start and that devotion never wavered.

It took a bit for Delilah to grow on me, but I really felt like she had the biggest transformation in the book. She matured so much and went from a naive and somewhat helpless young woman to a more independent and confident one. I really enjoyed seeing her come into her own and take control of her life. She did make some questionable decisions, but I felt like by the end she was working to make better choices in the future.

Delilah and Silas were adorkably sweet, but also very sexy. I would have loved to have more history between them though to warrant the Delilah obsession by Silas. They certainly had chemistry, but I'm not the biggest fan of instalove and this seemed to go from zero to sixty in record time. I understand that their relationship was never going to follow a conventional timeline, but I still would have liked to see and feel them reconnect more after so many years apart. I'm also not entirely sure why Silas never reached out to Delilah in all that time, considering how they had left things. The drama with Brett and the suspenseful aspect of the story didn't entirely work for me and the resolution to it was a bit abrupt and almost too neatly tied together. I did love seeing all the Bruisers again though and that they played such a big role in setting things in motion. The nuptials that take place in the book had me squealing (I will NEVER tire of that couple!) and were such a treat! The epilogue left me with a huge smile on my face and it was the perfect way to bring Silas and Delilah's story full circle. A wonderful addition to the series!

I like to imagine that Sarina Bowen has as much fun writing the Brooklyn series and I have reading it. Superfan is a mood-lifting delight and a great addition to my sports rom com library.

Popstar Delilah Spark may have a superfan in Brooklyn Bruisers goalie Silas, but I am Silas’s biggest fan. It would be difficult for any man to compete with his easy going, fun, patient, and attentive nature. His main goal is to love and support Delilah. He’s not threatened by her fame and he’s not afraid to be vulnerable. Time and again he puts his feelings out there, knowing his heart could be broken. It doesn’t hurt that he’s hot—hello, Mr. 7% Body Fat—but has zero ego.

Delilah is a bit of a contradiction. She is confident in her talent but insecure in her self-worth. She is loved by millions, but lives a pretty isolated life. Despite her intelligence, she often allows others to make decisions for her. She created a soft spot in me, and I enjoyed the positive influence Silas has on her.

Fate never seems to be on Silas and Delilah’s side, so I was treated to my favorite type of romance: the slow burn. The introduction of Silas’s nemesis creates some nice conflict, even though I found parts to be predictable.

Superfan is pure entertainment and can be enjoyed as a standalone, but I appreciated reconnecting with the characters and couples from previous books in the series. As always, the members of the Brooklyn Bruisers team can be counted on for camaraderie and hijinks.

Five Stars are not enough!

Sometimes it is really hard to put so many feelings and impressions into words. Sarina Bowen is one of the best writers I’ve ever read, and she gets even better with each book she writes. There’s something magical about her voice that never fails to enchant me. I admire her talent so much, and always look forward to reading her, even when I’ve read the book 15 times already.

I love everything about her books. She writes about strong, independent women and strong and respectful men. In my opinion, her characters are so lovable because they are actually good people, and they are relatable to readers because they feel like real people, even if they are professional hockey players or raising music stars.
One of her trademarks is her ability to make you feel so much, to laugh and cry at the same time. She’s hilarious without trying to be funny. She’s truly a master storyteller.

Superfan is Sarina Bowen’s latest hockey romance, and it’s a complete standalone novel, the latest addition to her Brooklyn Bruisers world, and one of her best yet. I sincerely recommend people to read all of the books, though. You might want to anyway, they’re all extraordinary. It’s always difficult for me to choose favorites when I’m talking about Sarina Bowen’s books, but Superfan is beyond spectacular. Finding words to describe my feelings about this book is almost impossible. It’s simply perfect. The story is fast-paced, intriguing, sexy, hot, surprising, sweet, romantic; everything a romance novel needs to be awesome.

Silas Kelly is the sweetest guy alive, but man is sexy! Wow, he caught me off-guard. He’s definitely my new favorite book boyfriend. His chemistry with Delilah is off-the-charts hot and so intense. They are perfect for each other. Delilah is a raising music star with some confidence issues, but she’s strong and independent, she knows what she wants and how to get it. And Silas needs to show her that what she wants and needs is him.

I loved Superfan. So, so much. I would give it ten stars if I could. Or twenty. I would love for people to read it, because I can assure everyone, there’s nobody quite like Silas. And everybody needs Silas in their lives.

Well. I’d like to start off by saying I did get an ARC sent to me for review and with the short timeframe to read and review, that’s probably not really a realistic time to expect changes between the ARC and the final version (if any). I’m thankful I was provided an ARC for review and I did love the last two books in this series.

But I had some real problems with this book.

The following review contains spoilers.

This book was a mix of boring and problematic. And I was SO looking forward to this one. Sad to say that I’m very disappointed.

Trigger warnings for one of the MCs getting drugged with a drink, emotional manipulation, mentions of physical abuse, and racism.

This book did have its good moments but ultimately, it was extremely painful to read and there wasn’t even hockey to save it.

Finally Silas!

We've already heard about his Delilah addiction in the last book!

And now we hear all about how he met her three years ago - when he was jobbing as a bartender in California. And Delilah was an über-talented girl about to hit it big in the music business. At least that's what Silas promised her. What he didn't tell her was his real name! And his profession! She thinks he's a Cali surfer bar guy named Ralph! LOL!

And now they're in contact again - via twitter! Only Delilah - a superstar now - doesn't know anyone named Silas! Yet.

LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!!!!! ☺

Such an adorable story!

I'm not the biggest hockey romance fan - but I just adore the boys and girls in this series - and anything Sarina writes is amazing anyway!

Silas and Delilah. Adorable and a bit sad and heartbreaking. Both haven't had the easiest time with their lives and careers. But they're finally both where they always wanted to be.

Now they just need to get that romantic happily ever after - with each other. Which won't be easy. She's living in California and he's in Brooklyn. Plus her idiot ex is trying to sabotage her love life and her career.

But the reader adores every single second of their journey to that happy end!

SUPERFAN was adorable, funny, sad, heartbreaking, sweet, hockey-ish, music-ish, Brooklyn-ish ... and so much more! Silas is just über-adorable!

I loved it!

Despite its title, Superfan (Brooklyn, #3) was such a sweet and delightful read. I adore Silas he's the quintessence of what a book boyfriend for, and he's surely a 'superfan' to Delilah but not in a creepy or stalker-ish way. Across-the-board the book has pretty wholesome characters and a fast-paced storyline execution. I genuinely had a considerable time with these two.

"It's like our souls vibrate at exactly the same frequency."

su·per·fan
/ˈsoopərfan/

noun
1. a person who has an extreme or obsessive admiration for a particular person or thing.

Superfan -- that's me, I'm a Sarina Bowen Superfan!

I'm not sure how to explain this, but Bowen's voice was different with this book. The story was so fluid and engaging, and the characters were brilliantly portrayed. Don't get me wrong, I loved her other books, but this one was crazy good!

Silas is the one in the other books in this series, who was obsessed with the singer, Delilah Spark, and her music. His teammates always teased him about his choice of music, but he didn't care, and now we know why!

Silas had thought his NHL career was over before it ever started. He hadn't been picked up by a team, and the outlook for him didn't look promising. He was working as a bartender in the town he grew up in. He'd become bitter and slightly depressed. The only bright spot to his days was when Delilah Spark walked into his bar. She was in town for the annual music festival. She was an aspiring artist who hoped to one day, headline the event. Silas was the bright spot of her days, too. Her manager was a world class jerk and made her life miserable. But she needed him, and even though she didn't trust easily, she had to trust that he would help her career. As the days past, Silas and Delilah became experts at flirting with one another. Silas tried to get Delilah to go on a date with him and to give him her phone number, but she never would -- if she had given him those seven numbers, the two would not have missed out on so much time!

Delilah is my favorite female character from Bowen. She's a smart, go-getter who refuses to be defined by her circumstances. When life tries to knock her down, she gets back up and fights. She takes control and refuses to stay down.

This slow burn romance was breathtaking, the writing was spectacular, and the characters were captivating. Together, they were the perfect couple. She was his always, and he was her forever.

A definite favorite of the year, 'Superfan' is my favorite Bowen book, to date!

I was provided a review copy by AUTHOR; this did not influence my opinion of the book nor my review.

Loved loved loved Silas and Delilah! Not only is this the ultimate athlete in love with Superstar romance, hello Carrie Underwood and Mike Fischer, this is also a second chance romance, which are my favorites! I recently read Overnight Sensation after initially stopping the series after Brooklynaire (I was a little let down by Nate and Becca’s lackluster book), and was totally in love with Silas and intrigued about Delilah. This book did not disappoint, Silas and Delilah are everything! Loved their story and romance. Also, the audiobook is pretty awesome, super recommend!
