As this was written by the author of my absolute favorite series, I was very much looking forward to this new series and was expecting to give it rave reviews. But it did not live up to my expectations. The story line had promise but there were too many plot errors, inconsistencies and editing misses.
Simple things like mixing up names (Brad was Matt at times. Madison was written at times when it should have been Melissa.) And then more complex things like a specific description of something in one book only to be told completely differently in another book (An example: We read that the apt had been Holly's house too that they owned together when we first met her. But in this book, we read that Alex found this place, that he sort of rented, after they divorced).
The details of the first book that set up the story did not work with what actually happened (only mentioning one daughter, one sister, one set of parents)...it wasn't a believable or smooth plot twist.
I did read all three books trying to look past the errors, but I did not enjoy where the story itself went or how annoying all the characters became by the third book.
Really disappointing because I love this author. But unfortunately this just did not work for me. Maybe with some better edits it could have more potential?
