Collided #3

Commited

Rate this book
My life exploded in a matter of moments. One bad decision led to another, and what should have been the happiest time of my life became the worst I ever experienced. I never wanted to fall in love. It just happened. I’d do anything to avoid losing it, but I have to think for someone else now. It isn’t just me…but I will do whatever it takes to make things right. I’m committed to it.

Portia Moore is an Amazon and iBooks bestselling author of romantic suspense, including the popular If I Break series, the Her series, and the Collided series, which combined have sold over one million copies across all platforms. Located in the chilly Midwest, her favorite vacations are anywhere that's hot and sunny with a beach, reading the same kind of heart-pounding, twisty, edge-of-your seat romantic thrillers that she loves to write. When that's not possible, she loves drinking wine, cooking (also with wine) and spending time with her little family of one human child and two furbabies, one that barks and one that meows.

This book ties up the series very well. I wasn’t sure there could be an HEA but this author did it well.

As this was written by the author of my absolute favorite series, I was very much looking forward to this new series and was expecting to give it rave reviews. But it did not live up to my expectations. The story line had promise but there were too many plot errors, inconsistencies and editing misses.

Simple things like mixing up names (Brad was Matt at times. Madison was written at times when it should have been Melissa.) And then more complex things like a specific description of something in one book only to be told completely differently in another book (An example: We read that the apt had been Holly's house too that they owned together when we first met her. But in this book, we read that Alex found this place, that he sort of rented, after they divorced).

The details of the first book that set up the story did not work with what actually happened (only mentioning one daughter, one sister, one set of parents)...it wasn't a believable or smooth plot twist.

I did read all three books trying to look past the errors, but I did not enjoy where the story itself went or how annoying all the characters became by the third book.

Really disappointing because I love this author. But unfortunately this just did not work for me. Maybe with some better edits it could have more potential?

Here I go reading books again that I think I will hate but my brain says "But Tessa, you gotta know what happens"😐🤦‍♀️ Joke's on you brain, this series wasn't half bad🤣

Im just gonna write 1 review for all three books and save myself some time.

Book 1- Jackson is a pretty shitty human being. I expected to hate Madison but its hard to hate someone that was being lied to and did the right thing when she found out. I do wish that their relationship didn't have so much on page time. I did throughly enjoy watching Alex and Madison go from friends to more. 3 stars

Book 2- I disliked Madison in this book. It was weird that she still had unresolved "feelings" for Jackson. She was 100% committed to Alex but I was still side eyeing her. I didn't think it was possible but Jackson turned into even a bigger asshole. Dude was legit trying to get Madison back even though she told him 800 times that she was in love with HIS SON! Also dude is still MARRIED. I felt a lil bad for Madison with how it all blew up in her face because she really was a victim in Jackson's scheme. She should of told the truth sooner though. Im completely satisfied that Jackson blew up his life, dick had it coming.

Book 3- My like for Madison came back. Her charcter really grew in this book. She was 100% committed to Alex even though they were broke up and was willing to wait for him. She also was prepared to do what was needed to have a good co-parenting relationship with Alex. Alex's mom Kate annoyed me a little bit but it also pushed Madison to be a stronger person. I liked that Alex was 100% in when he found out about the baby and wasn't unnecessarily cruel to Madison. He also sought therapy to figure out if he could ever really forgive her before committing to her again. Jackson's life is still in shambles HAHA asshole🙄 Alex does end up forgiving him though🤦‍♀️ 4 stars

So all in all this series is alright it kept my interest. Book 3 was the strongest IMO. I would definitely say this is NOT SAFE series

Sooo. This was an interesting conclusion to this taboo and heartbreaking story. Its definitely not every day that you have a triangle love story that involves someones parent. This story was graceful to the subjects and provided much healing for the main characters and their outlook on life. Sometimes, regardless if the situation is less than ideal, love is enough. Patience is a tongue biter and appreciation goes both ways. Portia Moore enthralled her audience into a wonderful and exciting adventure...and an escape.

10 STARS if possible

Captivating

The drama and intensity continue. Madison and Alex's story is so true--epic love yet devastating. I finished the book in one night. There were moments were I head my breathe waiting for what happened next and moments I wanted to scream at the characters. Overall, it is the perfect completion to the series that has kept us all captivated.

After how book 2 ended i didn't think everything will be ok. But Portia did it again. I finished this book in jus 2 hours it gets a little boring at points for me but overall an enjoyable read. I m happy with how this series ended. Even though i m still Team Jackson and feel sorry for him. I really wanted him to have his story someday.

Amazing!

Portia has out done herself again! This series is amazing! She always gives the readers everything they want without it being completely predictable! I loved Madison’s character and being able to see her grow so much from the first book to this last one!

Most of the characters in this book were insufferable. This book seems both rushed and drawn out at the same time.

Saved the best for last!

Alex and Madison have just broken up since the news came out about her affair with Jackson, Alex's dad. He can't believe that she never told him, nor can he believe his dad. Just when things were going so good. They just got engaged. Now it's over.

Madison is so broken. She just found out that she's pregnant and was going to share the news with Alex that night. She has no idea what to do. Should she move back home to Chicago or stay here in New York so she can try to fix things with Alex?

Everyone does their best to help them. Lots of anger, yet loads of love emanating from friends and family. Can they figure this out? When will Alex find out he's going to be a dad, and will he accept it?

So good! My heart goes out to these two. They have been through so much. I loved following their stories and how they both grew from their situations. Enjoy

Interesting story, although parts were predictable. Kindle editions had mistakes (missing words, pronoun transpositions, poor proofreading?) Did enjoy it, though.
