TRUE PARANORMAL STORY! As seen on The Travel Channel’s “The Dead ”, “My Haunted House” and the Animal Planet’s “The Haunted”, Hanover Haunting will leave you sleeping with the lights on. The haunting was so extreme, Amy Allen from The Dead Files warned DeAnna, “There are five men here and they all want you dead!” As DeAnna Simpson stood on the sidewalk, she knew she had to own the house on Maple Avenue. It called to her in a way she couldn’t explain. What she didn’t realize was that her dream home was filled with unspeakable evil. Once the house locked her tightly in its grips, it wouldn’t let go.After investigating the house, paranormal legend John Zaffis urged DeAnna to flee the house before it was too late. “You need to get out of here, Dee. It’s ancient. You have to leave. This thing has been here on this land for millions of years, and it’s known about your existence before you were born,” he told her. Includes personal accounts from leading paranormal investigators, including John Zaffis, Reverend Bill Bean, Sean Austin and Eric Vitale from The Travel Channel’s Ghost Loop, Shaman Michael Robishaw, Chris Nicoletti, David Allen Brown, Pamela Barry, Melissa Leaper, Marc Arvilla and Lauren Sheridan.
The story of this haunting first captured my attention about 7 years ago when I first moved into this area. It was very exciting to see a somewhat famous haunted house on National TV and it was only a few miles away from me. What made it even more exciting was I moved into a house on part of the land that was owned, by the guy many believed, was doing the haunting,( John and Dudely Diggs. Go ahead and google them, they were not exactly the nicest of folks).. It was different hearing the human aspect of a haunting. How it effected Deanna's family life, health, and how thanks to her celebrity status, she learned who really had her back...Now do I believe everything I read in this book? I plead the 5th on that.
The experiences that DeAnna and her family had in this home are more frightening than anything you'll find in the darkest of horror stories. The strength she showed and journey she undertook are a tale that will give hope to anyone going through a similar situation. Join wrote this with gripping detail. Excellent job, everyone.
Joni does it again! This book and her deserves a huge publishing company courting them. I had to read it all on one setting which took all day. I too have been blessed with the help of Michael Robishaw. I'm also a medium and paranormal Investigator and have had a few cases that were steeped in evil and this book was the first to give me anxiety in a long while. I had to be a big baby and read it during the day. This book will become the most chilling book you have ever read. Now I know I didn't review the author's writing style much and that's because there is nothing to complain about! I've read so many of her books that it just feels like connecting with an old friend once again!
I tire of watching or reading paranormal experiences where the issues go unresolved or not healed. I always want to go out there and try to heal the spirits that are stuck and hurting, to set them truly free. It was wonderful to experience not only DeAnna's dilemmas, but to get an understanding of life through her strengths and bravery. Very insightful for me. Very satisfying information about the causes of such abusive activity. But best of all, very completing that the Shaman can reach and see and expel or heal these stuck spirits so that life can again move along. Wonderfully written. Thank you!
The actual events that were detailed in the book were horrifying and well described by the author.
However the author tried to show the real impact of what was happening to DeAnna and how traumatic it was. Clearly it impacted on her health and relationships. That comes through undoubtedly.
BUT at certain points there is almost a "Mills and Boon" feel to the prose which certainly impacts the power she was up against. It also doesn't portray her in a way that you can empathise with.
It does improve towards the end although it does end quite abruptly.
The story could have been interesting, but the author is soooo boring! It’s tiresome to read about the stream of consciousness of the protagonist’s thoughts over and over. It makes me think it’s an attempt to make the book longer. Also, things that could have added credibility and more substance to the story are not given attention, for example, following up with the people who did the first blessing. Instead, there are pages and pages of DeAnna’s boring and repetitive thoughts. I couldn’t finish it and definitely do not recommend it.
I have heard about this case many times, I love ghosts, ghost shows, podcasts, websites and more about true hauntings. What this woman endured in that house is just unimaginable. This book is the true story, You get to hear about when Dead Files came to help, John Zaffas and more known and unknown Ghost hunters. This book is one that is hard to hit the stop or pause button on. If you enjoy the paranormal and like REAL hauntings this is a book you should not miss.
Excellent book, very well written. I couldn't out this book down, well and truly creeped me out. I don't know how Deanna survived, I would have been terrified. A very good read, well done Joni!
It was well written. True story. Very creepy. It was on several tv shows which I did not know when I purchased. I really enjoyed the many photos in the book and the evidence and links to the shows and evps as well.
Loved this book! So so happy Deanna got rid of it all. Joni and her advice paid it forward and off. Thanks to her Batman. Keep on writing Joni and everyone will keep on reading.
I absolutely loved this book. As my body grew tired I couldn't put it down to rest. This was a story that HAD to be told, it was done so with a skilled and talented author. This was a story about hope, self discovery and best of all it has an enchanted storybook ending.
Enjoyed this very much! Always was curious about this haunting after I saw it on the Dead Files and My Haunted House. Glad it was resolved in a happy way!!!
Although I believe this haunting is true, more doors were opened and nothing was done to end it. I don’t mean to be negative but truthful. I have been through many hauntings and have found the solution to end them. I want to help people end their haunting so I wrote a kindle book Hauntings Why They Happen and How to Help Yourself Author Helena Garilano . Hope this helps all that investigate hauntings. The one star rating is because nobody ended the haunting. DeAnna and Tom should have never moved ,but instead fought back with the proper method.
Great storytelling. This is the best paranormal book I’ve read in a long time. What DeAnna Simpson went through is downright disturbing. Joni did an awesome job telling her story.
