Everythinggggggggg. It was everything and more. This book actually brought me out of my reading funk. It’s been a long time since a book truly made me feel emotional. This one did that for me. The buildup between the characters, the emotions that you could actually feel being displayed, the relationships and connections between everyone + the drama that was thrown in made this for a highly heart-tugging and intense read. I loved it from beginning to end and I cannot wait to see what’s next for these characters. Amazing job, Aubree! This is the one!
Indie: was EVERYTHING! He stood in front and behind his family TEN TOES DOWN! He was a protector by nature and he had a calming spirit and was respected by everyone he cam in contact with.
Taj: My lil boo! My heart broke for her every time! She was the light Indie needed.
Ricky & Ajai were so cute! I want so much more for Ricky! I need Ajai to continue to be on her bully with Ricky !
This book was everything. The message throughout the story up until the end had me captivated. I wanted to quit reading several times but something just would not let me. As I read this story I saw the life of a man with the potential for greatness. When you have that special light there is nothing anybody can do to dim it. Aubree Pynn does a magnificent job in putting her pen to paper. There is no question that she has that light about her. This storyline felt so real to me and I shed a few tears. This is a must read for sure.
Taj experienced so much loss of loved ones in her young life. Storyline kept me reading as she was able to enjoy life again thanks to Indie. I was hoping their happiness would last as Taj enrolled in college for Indie was the one for her despite what her dad thought. Surprising scenes has me looking forward to next part
Taj and Indigo will take your soul on a trip. When you're blessed to meet a twin flame it's a life changing experience. And there are people we meet everyday who we know are bound to change lives by their spirit and their Aura. This story was all of that and more.
Raw emotions!!!! This book will have your all over the place .Taj and Indigo is becoming one of my favorite couples. Make sure you have some tissue when reading it.😍💙
Well Ms. Author, you got me out here stressing. 10 chapters in and my heart was hurting for Taj, you really out here putting my girl through it. Bubba's murder hit me hard like a speeding bullet hard, and to know that Taj last memory of him is watching the life drain from his body made that pain worst, I though it would get better once they moved.
15 chapters in you had me feeling a lil happy that she was gaining back some simblence of what she loss when Bubba died. The connection that she had with Indigo was bringing her back to herself. The light that everyone said she had and was special I really could feel that about her. As well as how she felt about indie.
I loved how she was introduced to Indigo and that their first incounter didn't even need words and that they were able to communicate on a level that trandcended verbal ability. She had no plans to fall for him and vice versa, but they were Fated, tied by this invesible line that connected them on the deepest of levels.
But then Ms. Author you came in in less than 2 chapters in the end of part 1 and bitch slapped the fuck out of me with shooting my dude... my heart dropped to my ass..only for him to come out alive and had people lie to Taj for him cause he thought that it was what was best. All I know is going into part two I am nervous cause I know when she find out everything that shit gone be like a damn gut punch.
Though I get Indigo reasoning, I def agree with Ricky that he should have allowed her to make that decision for herself.🥹 Her dad is no better cause he knows so I know shit gone hit the fan....
Queen Aubreé Pynn had me on an emotional roller coaster. Bubba was the best brother ever and losing him hurt💔. Senior made me wanna coke him daily. Just shake the ish out of him, so he’d wake up and realize how much his baby girl needed him. Taj went through so much heartbreak at such a young age, and my heart went out to her. She was finally coming out of her shell, allowing love in and then boom another heartbreak that I saw coming but still couldn’t believe it😔 Indie was everything. Him and Taj gave each other the love they never knew they needed. The kind of love that snatched your soul and hold it hostage. I loved them together❤️ That dang Ricky and his hot head azz pissed me if most of the book. He never took the time to think, he just reacted and that cost them dearly🤬 After the way book one ended, I’m so looking forward to book 2. So glad I don’t have to wait🤣
I am in my feels after reading this 😩😩🙂, bur it is so incredibly good 🙂. This is a series with cliffhangers so know that going in, but I believe it is going to be worth alllll of my time.
Indigo and Taj will make you believe and hope and want and need. The supporting cast do their thing and add all the extras that you’d want from them.
I looooved the first part of this series even the rollercoaster ride had me swinging from one emotion to the other. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and think you will as well.
Indigo and Taj have both experienced trauma in their young lives, and try to push thru the pain, in order to merely EXIST. What they didn't expect was to find one another and help each other begin the healing process.
I went into this book with no expectations. What I received, was an emotional rollercoaster. My hat is off to @aubreepynn. Unfortunately, due to minor errors, I cannot give it perfect rating that it deserves. Instead, I give it 💎💎💎💎 and highly recommend that you pick this one up.
Oh my goodness!!! This has me feeling all type of emotions and I love it. Indie and Ricky definitely has each others back no matter the circumstances and that is rare sometimes, especially with the life they live. Now with Ajai and Taj in the picture it makes me see them in a different light. I am not sure I read from this author before but this start of this series has passion love and charisma. It was well written and I love every minute of it.
Whew wee this here was a great start to a great series. I can’t wait to see what happens along the road for these two. This one was hella emotional but so worth the read. It will have you hooked so quickly. I’m excited that I waited so I can automatically continue to the second book. AP always keeps me on my toes and I know this series won’t be any different!!
Omg!!! I was so wrapped up in Indie and Taj that I got ZERO work done today!
So it started off a little slow, but I already knew it was going to be fire, and that it was! I was so caught up! I can’t even find the right words to describe the feelings and emotions I had while reading.
Indigo Sims..... that’s all I’m gonna say. Get your life and get into it and him because he is everything. I am blown away by the love and care that was put into painting the picture of that man and the people that surrounded him. Aubreé did that and this is a series I know I will reread over and over again.
Wow!!!! Awesome story. Very emotional and triggering take heed to the authors caution message. Taj is an amazing girl but this path she walked was without mercy. Indie was so cool! Their youth was refreshing to experience but I felt all of their pain. Typos and editing errors keep this from being 5 stars.
This book was heavy! My emotions were up and down - happiness, joy, relief, angst, hope, disappointment, anger, sadness, and more. I felt for Taj, Ricky, and Indie. Fighting this hood life and all the pitfalls, stress, and fear that it brings. This book pulled me in and that ending dropped me and now I’m hanging on!
LISTEN WHEN I TELL YOU… this book was great! It was beautiful! It literally took me through EVERY emotion while journeying through these chapters! Aubree NEVER disappoints, but she dug in her bag on this one! I can’t wait to get into book 2 because I NEED TO KNOW what’s next!🥰🥰🥰 10 out of 10, y’all need to read it!!!
Well I was not expecting that whatsoever! This was a true emotional read! Make sure to review the TW!
Man Taj that baby went through so much I just want to give her a hug! I felt so bad for her and it’s like she couldn’t catch a break! I’m so thankful I can jump right into book 2 because I was not expecting that ending! Such an amazing read!
Indigo “Indie” Sims captured my heart straight out the gate. Such an emotional read. Aubree was able to capture the streets, the game, death, grief and the lack of in this story. I am left speechless. Taj knows nothing but pain and Inidie knows the same but in a different way. Finding peace and an anchor throughout the hard times can change everything.
I don’t know how I missed this series but I’m glad my sis PMO, and we began to read. Love Indigo , I could only hope for the truth to come out in the next installment. On to part 2..
This is my first time reading your work, and I truly enjoyed it. Very real and good storyline, the ending was unexpected and I'm looking forward to reading part 2 to see how it all plays out.
All I can say is awesome. From reading one I purchased 2, 3, and 4. So, it's on to Part 2. If you are on the fence about this book, but it. I couldn't put this book down. Love Indigo, Taj, and Ricky. I hope Ricky gets a book also.
I loveeeeeee a good love at first sight plot. Super cute. I loved the LA vibe, loved the nods to King Nipsey. The maturity of Taj at such a tender age is such a wonderful thing to experience, finding love and peace while grieving is such a difficult thing to do.
I skimmed the whole book. I kept getting hooked on grammatical errors, missing words, and boring content. I just didn’t like it and I’m not interested in the next one.
I can even begin to explain the roller coaster ride of emotions I just went through! I’m not sure if I should praise this author or cuss her out!! No spoilers so just read it! Lol Sleep peacefully Nipsey!
