If you want a book that will have you laughing out loud and leave you giggling and smiling like a Cheshire Cat then this is the book for you.

The chemistry is electric and the banter is witty and flows naturally and once you add in the secondary characters you get the perfect rom com.

Texting the Enemy was funny and heartfelt and full of so many fumbles and tender moments that I blazed right through it with Ashlynn the Intern cracking me up the whole time.

Okay y’all. I laughed so hard at Ashlyn The Intern. The random hilarity that spewed out of her mouth nearly nonstop was THE BEST. I just had to get that off my chest first thing. She is my absolute favorite part of this book. That being said, I loved Delilah and Matthew and their story! It had the perfect amount of steam, angst, and lols and I enjoyed the overall plot. The characters and their thoughts and dialogue all felt very real; it seemed like I was experiencing everything along with them. I so cannot wait for the rest of this series. I just know it’s going to be epically hilarious and sweet after reading this first book.

This book is perfect for anyone looking for a hilarious, sweet, sassy romance with just a bit of adult language and some fade to black naughty times (none of which bothers me in the slightest, but it’s nice to read a book where it isn’t the focal point!).

I enjoyed the entire premise of establishing an anonymous relationship via text messages when only one party knows the identity of the other. In this case, Matt really wasn’t sure why there was so much animus for him in his childhood friend. She could wound him with a few smart remarks.

Delilah had her reasons for feeling betrayed by her friend and the reason unfolds throughout the story. What I liked about her is that while she handed out the zingers because she felt she was up against a wall, she apologized and was appropriately contrite when she discovered her words had hurt or she was wrong.

You will like this book if you enjoy an enemies to lovers book with little backstory, slow burn, a little naughty language and no overt intimate encounters.

Sinfully delicious anonymous text messages work every time

Texting The Enemy is the first book in the Rhapsody Hills series. This story is fun, flirty, romantic and has laugh out loud dialogue and banter. The story is about Matt and Delilah. These two have a natural spark between these co-workers who are rivals/enemies. But that is not how they were originally as when they were younger they were best friends. With the help of some more than intriguing and sinfully delicious "anonymous" text messages things start to heat up. Add in some hilarious co-workers and you have a wonderfully funny and completely entertaining book.
I really enjoyed reading this book and am looking forward to the next in this series.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Matt and Delilah used to be friends when they were kids but something happened to turn them into rivals. Now years later they are rivals at work and up for the same position. Delilah starts texting someone however uses the wrong number and it ends up going to Matt. He knows who its from but she has no clue that she's sharing private thoughts with her rival. Sparks fly between them and soon Matt wants more with Delilah and tries to fix their relationship. Will Delilah give him a chance? Can they be together with everything crazy at the office?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I originally thought I would find myself too old to enjoy a romance that revolves around texting. But I found Del so charming and a little snarky that I wanted to see if she indeed go through with dialing her number buddy. She doesn't know she is texting someone she knows but Matthew knows her, has her number in his phone, and plays along, deliciously screwing with her. I also loved reading about young professionals that have their act together and WANT to partake in a healthy relationship. I received this an ARC and chose to review this after enjoying the author's previous novels that also have a great romance, a sustainable storyline, and great supporting cast.

T.K. Barber has done it again. Romance isn’t my normal genre, but T.K. Barber’s books are so much more than just Romance. Texting The Enemy is filled with engaging characters (Ashlyn The Intern is my absolute fave), fantastic main characters (Del and Matt are amazing), and a weaving of plot lines that form a beautiful tapestry at the, of course, HEA. The pacing is wonderful, with no slow moments. The dialogue is witty and filled with fantastic banter. Again, Ashlyn The Intern is my FAVE!! I won’t give any spoilers, this book deserves for you to read it yourself. T.K. Barber is the only romance author I read, and I will read everything she publishes. Fantastic book. Five stars all the way!

I absolutely loved this book. It has a clever plot, funny and intriguing from beginning to end! It contains laughter, teasing mystery, and romance. I like the strong yet realistically vulnerable characters. The secondary characters are perfectly placed in the story line and contributed to the story’s effect without being just “fluff”. They were awesome! The romance focused on Matt and Delilah’s building relationship and made the characters very realistic and likable. I'm looking forward to the next book from this author. Do yourself a huge favor and don’t miss this one!

Spectacular Rom-Com!

“Texting The Enemy” is flirty, witty, sexy, sweet and deliciously satisfying romance. I absolutely enjoyed the banter and wit between Matt and Delilah. There is just the right amount of steamy scenes and plot twists to keep the story engaging. I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished with the very last word. Five massive stars for this boo! You don’t want to miss this spectacular rom-com. Absolutely loved it and I’m over the moon as I have found another new author to read. Happy reading everyone!!

Lighthearted, funny, perfect rom-com!

The writing was flawless and I spent very good, enjoyable time with the characters presented in this story. I loved it so much!
I laughed a lot especially with the quirky assistant appearances. All the characters had so much natural chemistry between them that it was really easy to fall in love with them. All the exchanges either verbal or through texts were adding to the appeal of the whole plot. Great read and I would gladly read more about them in the future.

The story line is well written, the humor is definitely there, and the characters are fantastic and entertaining for sure. This flirty workplace romance offers delicious conflict and plenty of laughs. It's a light read with deep feelings. Matt and Delilah gave me all the You've Got Mail vibes (remember that movie from the 90s?) That happy gut clench when Meg says, "I wanted it to be you." THAT is what I felt reading this sweet book. Loved it! Do yourself a favor and start the fun Rhapsody Hills series!

[did not finish] stopped at chapter 10. not my kind of book. also this number neighbors thingy seems to be really popular, a lot of authors seem to be writing around this plot. that being said, this plot no longer becomes new but rather cliche since so many are out there.

This book was hilarious! The characters were well developed and the banter between the two leads was great! I loved each character, even the side characters, and I can’t wait for the next two books in the series to come out! I love how many elements this story has.
Enemies to lovers
Friends to lovers
Office romance
Texting romance
It’s just amazing how the author brought everything together!

Nice story

Like that the romance wasn't rushed, some I have read are pure passion without moments of respite and are pretty draining to read, at for me. Loved both characters and the overall plot. Overall a nice book

Adorable ROM-COM. I am pleasantly surprised at the versatility in Barber's writing. I had previously read her dark Mafia series and was debating to even read this given it is so different. Rom-Com to Dark Mafia nd back? No worries she doesn't well. Whenever i read a rom-com i better be able to picture a chick flick in my head with no problem to give a five star review. This novel on blind dating in the age of cell phones gets 5 stars

Matthew was so heart eyes. Everything about him was just, so real and human and cute.

This book follows Delilah and Matthew, two childhood friends-turned-enemies-to lovers, who work together in the same construction office and are going for the same job: VP. However, Matthew’s dad is the owner of the company, so Delilah believes she has to work even harder to get the job. Her best friend encourages her to text her “number neighbor”, hoping it’s a cute guy or at least someone she can befriend. When she texts her number neighbor, it turns out that it’s actually Matthew. And because Matthew never deleted her number in the past, he knows that it’s her the entire time. Delilah on the other hand, has no idea that she’s texting Matthew. It’s truly such an adorable book! Not only is it full of adorable and funny moments, there’s also scheming to where Matthew and Delilah team up to take down and solve an embezzlement situation, and there’s even a bodyguard that Delilah’s best friend has the hots for. This would definitely make for a fun read if you want something cute, something to get you cackling, and to remind you about how fun romance can really be. Also, there’s a truly vibrant and hilarious and sometimes cringy intern that kept me laughing throughout the book. This is definitely a 3.5 star book that is definitely worth reading.

It was so close to being great.. I wish I could pinpoint what exactly didn’t do it for me. But for the most part it was good. I think it might be the if it wasn’t this it was that kind of drama that seemed to pop out of nowhere. Maybe a better understanding of their problems upfront instead of it seemingly coming from out of the blue.. idk. However. It did make me laugh on several occasions but I have a feeling Bashy and Lindee will be even better than this one. Overall I’m glad I read it. Not too shabby!

I absolutely loved Matt and Del's story. They're so perfect and adorable for each other. In typical TK fashion, you're left guessing, looking for little clues to put together all the pieces of the puzzle. Lindee and Ashlyn are amazing. They'll keep you laughing and begging for their own books.

Took one down because i really can’t believe an intern who usually manage as the receptionist being made the CEO.
She cant even shut her mouth and keep a secret.
