Absolutely Hysterical

The characters are the backbone of this small town story. We have large-sized Mavis and her clients. She heals a select few men in town of their anxieties and woes. The long-suffering handyman forever has holes in Mavis’s walls at the Manor to repair. Mona at the diner. Maude and Opal. Reverend Jennings. And then there’s Earl Boudreaux who hit town and causes trouble four ways from Sunday. Well worth reading!

I book reviee

The book started out a little bit slow, but, then picked up nicely. There are still a bunch of gaps in the story. I hope following books will pick up where this left off.

This a funny book, but it drags on too long before it gets into actual meat of the story. Found myself wanting to skim over several pages.

I kept hoping to find positive qualities in the women. The male characters seemed to be better developed. The plot was shallow with too easy a resolution. My last visit to this community.

Craziness

This had to be one of the most fun reads ever! Mavis has her ex visiting and causing all kinds of problems. Must read

Loved that small town southern feel and the charming characters. It made you feel like you were sitting right along side them on that front porch.
