My sixteenth birthday turns out to be the worst day of my life. Monsters attack my home, killing my mom and almost getting me, too. But three drop-dead gorgeous guys come to my rescue. They introduce themselves as Killian, Alaric, and Doran and take me to Evercrest Academy, a school for witches and wizards. Because I’m a half-breed and have magical ability. I spend my days learning to use magic. And trying not to obsess over Killian, Alaric, and Doran, aka the Wicked Wizards, the bad boys of the school. I can’t help feeling drawn to them. There’s something else going on, though. A secret about me that no one wants to talk about. The reason those monsters attacked me. And the closer I get to the Wicked Wizards, the more I learn they have secrets of their own. Somehow, I find myself tangled up in it, too. And I might be in more danger than I thought.
I found this story very interesting. The main character Andi wakes up on her 16th birthday, when a monster comes and attacks her home. Her mother ends up getting murdered and she’s rescued by 3 guys who take her to a magic world. She’s a half-breed, half human half wizard, and finds out her dad is a powerful wizard. The book explores her discovering magic and also the interactions between her and the guys. I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait for the second instalment.
This book is not really wicked. There isn't even one kiss in this RH-described book. I am not sure if I am invested enough in Andi to continue. Half breeds are all supposed to go dark? There is no grey area? The guys are ok. Alaric is the only one I feel somewhat attached to because he's an avid reader. Andi is somehow included in their bond at the end of this book? Odd. I loved Clover! 2.65 stars, happy reading!
