Ali Dean is one of my favorite authors so anytime she is releasing a new book I feel honored to be able to read an ARC. After initially reading Brazen Rush I new I would love this series and I couldn’t wait to see how Jordan and Beckett’s relationship changes!
♦️♦️
Jordan is slowly getting more notice in the skateboarding world not only for her amazing skateboarding skills and impressive runs at the competitions but also being spotted with both Beckett and Griff. With many people’s opinion flying around what will happen to Jordan?
♦️♦️
Seeing the relationship between Jordan and Beckett grow throughout this second book was amazing! I love them as a couple and love how strong Jordan is! I am anxiously awaiting what will happen in the next book!
♦️♦️
When this book ended I was on the edge of seat and now I can not wait to see what happens to Jordan!! If you haven’t read any of Ali Dean’s books yet you really need to change that and jump right in to any of her books!!

After the ending of Brazen Rush I have been dying for book two and it was everything I could wanted and more!

I liked Jordan in the first book, but I LOVE her now. She is focused, real and completely down to earth. You can feel her love and passion throughout the pages of this book. She is a great role model, especially to all the young girls who look up to her in the skating world. Despite the negatives that comes with her increasing fame and her connections to both Beck and Griff. She handles everything probably better than most people would, especially at her age.

I didn’t think the chemistry between her and Beck could get any hotter, but I was wrong. I love these two together! They both continued to grow throughout the course of the book, too. They work so well together and I can’t wait to see where things go for them!

That ending though!!! I was on the edge of my seat with my jaw on the floor. The wait for book three is going to be killer but I can’t wait to see this series continue.

I should know better than to start a highly anticipated Ali Dean book at midnight, but I could not resist. Brazen Steele continues the series in a progressively intriguing fashion. There is so much about this book that I loved, but I refuse to spoil it for others. You just have to experience it for yourself to have the full emotional experience. The passionate chemistry and friendship that Jordan and Beck create take you on the ups and downs of their relationship. You feel in your stomach and heart the impact of this wild ride. Beck shows you more of his inner thoughts and feelings. Jordan blossoms before your eyes. Jordan passes every test, and she arises to new occasions. She is down-to-earth and caring. She truly steps out of her comfort zone in this book, which allows her to excel in skateboarding and expose herself to new adventures. My fingers tingle with the anticipation of what is to come. Warning, the cliff-hanger queen is enjoying her reign over our delicate hearts and continues to test our patience for the next part of this story!

I received an advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

Another quick read, and I liked it more than the first one. Jordan seemed to be filled with a lot of doubt than she was in the first - it felt like a bit of a step back, which I'm alright with so long as she gets back to where she was within the next two books, because I missed that part of her.

Also, the cyberbullying in this was not taken care of - if it's going to be a big part of the rest of the series, that's okay to leave it alone for now, but if not, it needs to be discussed on a better way and then given a solution of how to deal with it.

I really didn't want to give it 3-stars because I don't think it's meant for me, but 2-stars looks harsh even though it means it was "just okay". oh, well.

I received a free ARC and am leaving a voluntary and honest review.

Brazen Steele was a gripping second installment in Ali’s new Brazen series, the first one introduced us to all our new favorite characters and left us on a clifffhanger wondering what would happen to the romantic leads. This book left no time jumping in immediately where book one left off and giving us what would normally be a happy ending. But not in one of Ali Dean’s books, oh no. She is terrific at making the romances real, in that even once the leads are together, they still have to face the everyday obstacles, such as exes, jobs, and maybe even a stalker or two. This book delved deeper into Beck and Jordan’s professional lives, adding a nice taste of ambitious competitiveness to her romantic entanglements. We also got a worrisome side plot involving one of the best friends, which made the book more than just a romance one. It was, of course, great but did end on a cliffhanger, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself shouting “what? No!” At the end. Also don’t start this book at bedtime, because it’ll keep you up reading until it’s all finished.

Ok I needed this book so badly as Brazen Rush left such a cliffhanger. Let me tell you, this book surely did not disappoint. Ali Dean, I want to live inside your brilliant head! The stories you write are not only absolutely amazing, but showcase female empowerment in ways I wish more authors would grasp for their characters.

Jordan has easily become my favorite character in a book. She is so down to earth, focused and realistic. Jordan is someone I think we should all strive to be more like. She may question decisions when it comes to Beck but he is the first person to ever make her do and feel this way. Yet, she also has no problem going after what she wants and saying what is on her mind, which you have to commend.

Like in Brazen Rush, the chemistry Jordan and Beck showcase flies off the pages. My heart was beating so fast throughout the entire book rooting for them. I read this book in a day, I could not put it down. This book leaves you with so many unanswered questions that at times I caught myself gasping and begging for so much more. Because I read this book so fast, upon finishing, I immediately went back and re-read “Brazen Rush” and “Brazen Steele” back-to-back.

Ali Dean has done it again. She constantly writes characters that you want to be friends with or that in some way you can relate to. And like always she leaves you wanting, or begging for so much more. Please Ali, I need Brazen Girl so soon!

Ali Dean delivers another quick breezy read.

When Beckett Steele agreed to the relationship clause of the reality show contract, he hadn't expected to meet someone like Jordan. Now he regrets signing the contract at all.

Brazen Steele was a good follow up book with strong characters, supportive friendship and a solid plot.

On the surface, the main plot of this book seems to be about the contract and the second guessing that comes with Beckett & Jordan keeping their relationship a secret. But it's more about the kind of unrealistic expectations fans have from celebrities - we often forget that they're normal people with normal lives. It's also about trolls and social media bullying, which makes the book much deeper and more relevant than it seems at first glance. Ali Dean does an excellent job of covering deeper issues without making the book seem heavy. Recommended!

Cliffhanger and epically annoyed.

The mfc was super badass in the first book, this one she kinda becomes a wallflower... ya ya yeah it’s a secret romance but seriously the self doubt is getting to be over the top.

Hopefully the next book the fmc gets her fire back and is strong enough to survive and dominate. Otherwise this series will have been an epic waste of time.

Side note: questionable read for young readers on cyber bullying and not handling it. This was super disappointing

My Review Title –
Left wanting more…again!

My Book Thoughts –
This is the 2nd book of the Brazen series, and just like the first book the 2nd leaves us teetering on the ledge of a cliffhanger. Brazen Steele is a cute, easy to read book about a college girl becoming of age and experiencing life on her own. I would highly suggest you read the 1st book, to be able to follow along in the 2nd book. Jordan finally built up the courage to go for something that she doesn’t have much experience in and is left wounded. Picking up from where we left off, Jordan is not letting 1 bad experience ruin her chance of dating. When her crush decides that he made a mistake and wants to take a chance on the much younger inexperienced girl, will Jordan take him back or has she had enough? Not only is her crush older, he’s extremely known in the skating world, making him one of the hottest guys on the skating scene. Oh, let’s not forget he’s signed up to be on a show and will be closed off with other skater guys and girls for a few months. (Think like Big Brother but with skaters) This combined with taking a chance of having a skating career, starting to be an up and coming skater, learning how to deal with social media, can she survive this?

My Book Summary –
We literally pick up where the 1st book left off. Jordan must make a big decision as Beck decides he made a mistake. He wants to be with Jordan, but does she want him? Taking a leap of faith, she goes forward with Beck, but she may have made a decision to quick. She learns more about the contact that Beck has with the show Shred Live and wondering now if she made the right choice. She cares deeply for Beck and wants to make this work, but will it? Her skating career is off to a start, the buzz about her signing up with Brazen is also taking off, which means that she has to start promoting herself more. She needs to post more pictures of herself and interaction with a world she’s not too familiar with social media. The backlash of being up and coming, along with hanging out with the hottest skaters is slowly starting to take it’s toll on her. Time is starting to speed up as Becks date to start filming Shred live comes up. Can she handle all this or will it all come crashing down?

Author’s Book Summary -
Beckett Steele knows what he wants and he’s finally going after it. But there’s one thing that might complicate his mission. It was easy to sign the legally-binding contract prohibiting a public relationship when he had no intention of falling in love. He agreed to participate in a reality television show in order to help promote his best friend’s new skateboarding company, but that was before he met Jordan Slattery. Now, he’s realizing that signing that contract might be the biggest regret of his life.

An exciting second installment in the Brazen series

This New Adult novel begins immediately following the events within the cliffhanger ending of Brazen Rush, which is Book 1 of this exciting, contemporary, sports-romance series. It is essential to read these books in order. The entire series functions as one, long, serialized novel about the same two protagonists: 18-year-old college freshman and skateboarding phenom, Jordan Slattery, and 25-year-old, international, skateboarding champion, Beckett Steele.

The story begins with a bang as Beck finally overcomes the hesitation he felt throughout Book 1 about dating Jordan, due to her much younger age. They spring full bore into a committed romance, but unfortunately for the potential survival of their relationship, Beck signed a contract for a reality show well before he met Jordan. A main legal requirement of the contract is that, for an entire year, he must present the public image of a single man. Jordan agrees to the need to keep their connection a secret, but neither of them could have imagined how painfully difficult it would prove to be to maintain the fiction that they are merely friends.

This second installment of the romantic adventures of Jordan and Beck is a fun and often sexy read. There are not quite as many of the delightful skating scenes in this book as the first one, but the romance itself heats up quite a bit, and I continue to greatly admire and enjoy Jordan and Beck, as individuals and as a couple.

As is the case with Book 1, this installment in the series also ends in a cliffhanger, and quite a frightening one. I am looking forward to Book 3 with bated breath to find out what happens next.

I rate this book as follows:

Heroine: 5 stars
Hero: 5 stars
Subcharacters: 4 stars
Romance plot: 4 stars
Skating plot: 4 stars
Setting: 4 stars
Writing: 5 stars
Overall: 4.5 rounded to 5 stars

I was anxiously awaiting the second in the Brazen series, it too incorporates the world of skateboarding and the suspense and dedication that it takes to be a top competitor. Brazen Steele spins the skateboarding world where Griffin Perry makes lemonade out of lemons and markets Brazen, his upstart company that sells skateboarding products. Jordan Slattery is a college student seeking an experience that is guided by her love of skateboarding in a town that has truly competitive courses throughout the town that draws the best of the best there too. Jordan is recorded doing spectacular tricks, where unbeknownst to her she becomes a media sensation after the video is posted to numerous social networking sites. Griffin offers Jordan a sponsorship backed by Brazen where Jordan enters a new world of competition. A legend in men's skateboarding world, Beck Steele finds an injured Jordan and the love story begins. The story incorporates all of today's technology that is needed to succeed in competition and in marketing a new company. This technology however can impede a public relationship and challenge the savviest of players. Ms. Dean has done a terrific job of incorporating the angst and frustration with today's social networking options where threats go unhindered hiding behind the cover of anonymity. I'm truly looking forward to the next in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

If you had all the feels reading book 1, you have no idea what is in store for this one. I laughed, I held my breath, and I cursed Ali for literally leaving me hanging off a cliff with this ending. I'm really going to need book 3 like tomorrow because that ending was brutal. I loved getting more insight into Beckett's character this time. I loved learning about the vulnerability that Jordan has, about the issues she struggles with. We dive into the world of cyber bullying in this book and it really is such a huge issue in our world today. People don't stop to think before posting cruel words. This book brings to light the emotional impact those words have on the people they are aimed at. If you are looking for over the top steamy scenes, well this isn't your book, but if you are looking for a book with realistic characters dealing with real life issues, trying to navigate making a relationship work despite obstacles that stand in the way, then this is your book. The Brazen series has been like a breath of fresh air because I have been craving true relationship, more down to earth issues after reading some very heavy, darker romance books lately. I can't wait to see where this story goes from here.

**4.5 Stars**
Brazen Steele (book 2 in the Brazen series) starts at the beach party where book one ended. Jordan has just kissed another guy and Beck gets there in time to see the two of them returning from their walk down the beach. Facing the possibility that Jordan might move on, Beck finally accepts his feelings for her. They start a relationship that must be kept quiet due to clause in Beck's contract for an upcoming reality show that requires him to appear single to the public. The pressures of school, the increasing stress of competing in bigger skateboarding competitions and the intrusion of "fans" into their personal life, puts added strain on Jordan and Beck's new relationship. The couple must find a way to fulfill their responsibilities and stay true to their hearts. Social media threats and conniving acquaintances, threaten Jordan's life and future. This book leaves us wondering what will/has happen to Jordan.

I love Jordan! She fights for what she wants and doesn't let people push her around even though she's young. I love that she has surrounded herself with good, loyal people as she's thrust into the spotlight and competitions. I'm totally Team Beckett and can't wait to see what happens with him and Jordan! The series continues with book 3 - Brazen Girl.

This is Jordan and Beckett's story continued from 'Brazen Rush.' The story picks up right where Brazen Rush' ended with Beckett deciding once and for all that he wants Jordan in his life. They can't be out in the open about their relationship due to a reality TV show clause. This in between book is mostly about how they navigate their hidden relationship and the social media when pictures link not only Beckett with Jordan but Griff with Jordan.

The author highlights many of the good and bad issues sports celebrities must face with the public and social media and their followers and how it affects their family and relationships.

Like the previous book I didn't really understand why this story is being broken up the way it is, it felt unnecessary, although the cliffhanger on this one will definitely grab you.

I like these characters and their stories, I didn't feel like this was a complete book, even knowing from the start of the book that it would end on a cliffhanger I expected some sort of partial story arc closure, that wasn't realized.

Why did I read this so soon knowing that the third one doesn’t come out until June?! Ugh that cliffhanger!!!

I still think this is becoming Ali Dean’s best series yet! This book has some suspense with the introduction of online trolls and now a possible stalker. I have my own theories about who these could be but don’t want to spoil it for you! And since book 1 ended on a cliffhanger with Beck finally getting his head together and on his way to tell Jordan his feelings, I can’t really talk more about what happens with her/them. But I can say that this book has feels and some good drama. And now I’m so worried after that cliffhanger!!!

There were some parts that bothered me where I felt that Jordan was being stupid or immature but I just had to remind myself that she is only 18 and has never been in any type of relationship or even had many friendships outside of her 2 best friends from home so obviously she’s going to make some mistakes with people. I also wish that this book had more steam since it is a college romance book and supposed to be NA and not YA. Overall, I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for book 3!

The Brazen series is starting to become one of my favourite series!
Brazen Steele picks up right where Brazen Rush left us. We finally get to see Jordan and Beck as a couple and the struggles they have to go through with the contract for Shred Live looming over them.
Beckett Steele ❤️ swooooooon. That guy just gives you all the feels! The relationship between Beck and Jordan is so beautiful and their story makes your heart burst with happiness.
The thing I love about this series is that it’s not over the top with the drama and it highlights real issues that many people go through. The main one being social media and how it affects us.
This is an amazing series! Not only do I love the storyline but the characters are all so loveable! Some of the moments were so funny they had me laughing out loud and not just that, but Ali Dean has a way of writing with so much emotion, it bleeds from the pages making you feel everything! But one thing is for sure, I fell madly in love with Jordan and Beck!
That cliffhanger ending though!!! Dying!!! Need book 3 asap!!!

Ali Dean why do you do this to me?!?! I can't believe that I have to wait for book 3 now!! My heart is freaking out! So the hope I had at the end of book 1 is still there, it has just been pushed to the background by the frustration and now fear of what book 3 is going to bring! But on a good note, I love Beckett and Jordan!! They are so good together! The support they have for each other and how they both want what is best for the other person is so good to see! And because of that I wonder how Beckett is going to handle what happens at the end of the book?! I love how despite being 18 Jordan shows a maturity for her age. Yes there are moments that show that she is only 18, but she seems like she isn't going to stay there long! This is also why I need book 3 now, I want to continue to see her growth as not only a skateboard phenomenon, but as a woman! Plus, I want to see the haters be put in their place! Please Ali Dean make it spectacular!!

I've been a fan of all Ali Dean's series for quite a while now. All of her books are so amazing, and this new skateboarding series is no exception. After Brazen Rush, I spent time on Youtube looking up different tricks and skateboarding videos. Brazen Steele has me all up in my feelings!! Another amazing book for the highly addicted Brazen Series. This book centers around skateboarding phenom Jordan Slattery who has attracted quite a following both in her personal life and now online. Jordan is just a girl who just loves to skate for the sake of skating. She's very honest and refreshing. She has no idea how good she actually is and she learns that she has a competitive streak in her. As soon as she gets her personal life somewhat situated and has developed a new normal, certain forces and fears from her past work together to stop her from getting the happy ending that she definitely deserves. Will Jordan and Beck be able to persevere or will fame tear them apart?

This was a great continuation of the series! It picks up right where the first one left off and we get to see a ton of Beckett and Jordan and we actually get to see them together in this one. They have to work on some things and figure things out between them. They have a few obstacles to deal with, both with their own insecurities and being in a relationship and outside issues. I was able to really connect with both characters. I loved how Beckett was in the relationship with Jordan and dealing with the age and experience difference. I loved the way that things developed between them. Jordan is very mature for her age in a lot of ways. She has her insecurities like everyone does but the way that she deals with things is very mature. They have to figure out their relationship while hiding it from the public eye. I loved this one and I love the characters! It does end in a cliffhanger and I am on the edge of my seat to get the next book. I can't wait for it to be here!!!

Fantastically written with a suspenseful plot and a promise for more

I hoped this one would be even better than the first part. I wasn't disappointed. This part kept me on my toes. I was progressing through the pages and had to hold my breath several times. There was perfectly build tension and as a reader I was making up different scenarios in my head as to what could happen next. The story of Jordan and Beckett continues and they are showing more and more of their qualities, inner turmoil and their vulnerability starts to surface. While their feelings and emotions get tested their friends and family are with them. Also the secondary characters' threads are not set aside. Wonder how it will all be tied in the next books. I will not write more about plot itself as not to give away anything. But this book really took me through the roller-coaster of emotions and at the end left me wrecked with a gaping mouth.

Brazen Steele starts where Book 1 left off: Jordan has just given up on Beckett and kissed another guy.
But Beck manages to convince Jordan that he is serious about her and wants a relationship. So all should be good. If it wasn‘t for the little detail of Becketts reality show contract which states that he cant have a girlfriend. With Jordan‘s skateboarding budding carreer putting her more and more in the spotlight, how can these two keep their relatioship secret from everyone else?

Ok, I admit, skateboarding has never been on my radar, but after finishing this book I just had to ook up skateboarding videos on Youtube. (Btw, now i am bummed that I wont get to see skateboarding as a olympic discipline this summer). This is one of Ali Deans many talents as an author, she doesnt just write a great story, her characters are that well developed that you just get sucked into what matters most to these characters.

I was so excited to read Brazen Steele after I got finished with Brazen Rush! I really love this series so much! Jordan and Beckett are two souls who are just meant to be together. They just mesh so well. This book really delves deeper into their relationship and their professional lives, and how the two are so tightly interwoven. You get much more insight into what makes Beckett tick, and how scared he is to give himself to someone so completely. You also see what a strong woman Jordan is. I feel so bad for both of them because they are unable to let the world know that they are together. It's a lot of added pressure on top of everything else. The ending of this book was intense! Now I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book to arrive. It is torture. I can't wait. Thanks for another amazing series, Ali Dean!

This is a great follow in this series. We find out what Beckett chooses. He chooses Jordan now, and she accepts however they still have a lot to endure. One, Beckett will be leaving to do Shred Live and under contract to remain single. Jordan is working with Griffin to get his label off the ground. Jordan and Beckett are trying to keep their relationship secret. Can they do it? Since she works close to Griffin there is speculation of a relationship there. Then photos are found with her and Beckett. Can she handle the pressure? She is strong willed to think that she can stay in her bubble. She is getting messages from people about her relationship status. What will she do? What is going to happen? That ending had me screaming. I need to know what is going to happen. Can they make it through the next year. Now we wait to find out.

Holy crap this book was great!

I can not believe how much I love Jordan and Beck; I am so invested in their story. I think one of the things I am loving most is how awesome Jordan is as an up and coming athlete and how Beck just gets her. His devotion to her and her career is so endearing. Together as a couple, I like to think they can get through anything, but I am dying to see what happens next after the cliffhanger this book ends on.

I did not want this book to end, I even tried to slow down reading so I could savor the story more, but it was too good to put down! I am amazed at how Ali can keep creating all these strong, independent women with guys who I actually feel are worthy of their love. Ali is so great at creating a love for a different sport in every story. I can actually feel like I am with the crew at the skate parks.

I am so looking forward to the next two books, I am so in love with their relationship and can't wait to see what happens next!

Beckett Steele signed a legally-binding contract that prohibits him from engaging in a public relationship. No big deal since he wasn’t going to be falling in love anyway. This was required for a reality television show to promote his best friend’s new skateboarding company. But now that he has met the talented Jordan Slattery, he is starting to realize he made a mistake, especially when it looks like there could be some romantic competition on the horizon.

The characters and story line in this book are top-notch! Beck and Jordan are the kind of people the reader would love as best friends. And as you get to know more about them – they get even better! There are many stressors for both of them, but they inspire the reader’s confidence that they will be able to deal with anything that comes at them. The chemistry between them sizzles! Grab your copy and catch up on their story.

Gripping & suspenseful with a twist you won’t see coming...

This book picked up right where the previous book ended and took off quickly. Fast-paced there was still the pause, the stillness the main character needed. Avoiding spoilers but those who pick up the book, you’ll get it. It was delightful. It seemed that the plot may be predictable. As I was reading on my Kindle, I could see the % left decreasing with every chapter and then PLOT TWIST. What I expected didn’t happen. I should have know better, this author isn’t predictable and she did so well here. As this story came to a close, I felt anxious and heart racing hoping to get more, just a little more before the book finished. Left me on the edge of my seat and I’ll be not-so-patiently waiting on the next installment!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
