It only takes a second for her world to come crashing down.
Jordan’s crash is a wake-up call for everyone.
Recovering from a head injury brings new challenges no one is expecting or prepared to handle. Jordan begins to doubt that she has what it takes to make it as a pro skateboarder. Is she tough enough to be part of Beckett Steele’s world? Or is this crash a sign she lacks what it takes?
With the filming Shred Live looming, Beck is forced to re-evaluate his priorities. The risks that come with being one of the world’s best skateboarders aren’t always what they seem. Add Jordan to the equation, and the dangers take on a whole new meaning.
A few seconds can change everything. Especially mid-air on one of the largest half pipes in the world.

After an eye opening accident Jordan finds herself questioning everything! As she takes time to reassess and heal Jordan has a tough question to answer; is she enough? It really shows how much strong loving friend/family can really help!
I do not know what’s in store next I just know I’m here and ready for all of it!!!
Exciting third installment of a riveting New Adult, sports-romance series
This novel is the third book in a four-book series. Reading these books sequentially is important in order to be able to experience the full benefit of the overarching story of the romance between 18-year-old Jordan, female skateboarding phenom, and 25-year-old Beck, a world-champion, professional skateboarder.
Book 2 ends with a cliffhanger, and this book picks up moments after the events of Book 2 conclude. Jordan has had a bad crash in a professional skateboarding competition due to a panic attack causing her to lose focus at a crucial moment. She is devastated when doctors inform her she should not get on a skateboard again for months so as to allow her body to fully heal. As a result of her injuries, most especially a concussion, and the long time needed to recover, Jordan is suffering both anxiety and depression. And this is on top of the traumatic stress she was already enduring before her wipeout as the girlfriend of Beck, a gorgeous skateboarding champion whom countless female fans adore.
In the midst of her emotional and physical pain and confusion, Jordan withdraws from her previously committed, loving relationship with Beck, and she pulls out of her contract to represent the Blaze skateboarding-gear company, which is a startup of Beck’s best friend, Griff, who himself retired from professional skateboarding a while back due to an career-ending injury. Jordan has no emotional strength left to endure being part of the high-profile and high-stakes lifestyle of Beck and Griff. All she wants to do now is drop out of her university, go home to live with her parents and, basically, hide from the world.
I raced through the pages of this novel in order to find out the answer to these compelling story questions:
Will Beck and Jordan get back together?
Will Jordan recover from the depression that is negatively impacting her self-esteem, her relationship with Beck and her skateboarding career?
Jordan has a difficult, but ultimately inspiring, personal-growth journey in this book. The story this time around is much more focused on her internal life than on exciting skateboarding scenes, which dominate the previous two books. But even so, Jordan continues to be a fascinating, sympathetic, inspirational, female protagonist.
Beck also remains a highly sympathetic romantic hero. He has integrity and compassion in spades, and is continually faithful to Jordan. He is not just a sexy lover, but a true friend and helpmate to her in her time of need.
In this book there is a continuing cast of wonderful subcharacters who are Jordan’s close friends and who are present throughout the series. Ms. Dean does a wonderful job creating fully realized, loving, loyal, female friends, in particular. They act as a positive, supportive family of affiliation to her.
I was rooting for Beck and Jordan as a couple and for Jordan’s future as a professional skateboarder all the way through to the satisfying, upbeat conclusion of this installment of the Brazen series. I look forward very much to reading the fourth and final book, Brazen Tricks. According to the author, this book will release September 12, 2020.
While the other books in the series have been GREAT and filled with passion; there is something about this one that just makes you whole. Definitely worth the wait.
**This next part it’s not actually a SPOILER but it does comments on subjects of the book so just a precaution ;)**
I feel that this books brings something to the tables that is a necessity nowadays, specially for young girls. Mental health it’s important, self confidence and self love are necessities. Those subjects are the reason this book makes me feel whole and understood. Also I think it’s great how it shows that even when someone it’s in a bad spot and might think that it’s inconveniencing friends; in reality true friends are glad to help.
In summary GREAT book; it’s different and I love it for that. Can’t wait for the next one.

With how things were left in Brazen Steele I was DYING for this one.
Since meeting Jordan in the first book to where she is now there has been so much in her as a character, however, there are still some insecurities she has in the beginning of this book. Beck, I love him. He is caring, loving and supportive.
The chemistry and connection between Jordan and Beck only continues to grow and gets stronger as the story progresses. I love that Jordan continues to be a role model for young girls everywhere, despite her having some struggles.
The Brazen series has been completely addicting from the start and is full of characters that you’ll fall in love with you. A MUST READ!
Beck and Jordan are my couple! There's a lot to get through here after Jordan's accident but they're steadfast and they have to go through a lot of growth within themselves. I loved reading the journey and how Jordan had to come to terms with what she really wanted to do and what she was capable of.
Ali Dean delivers another page turner! I finished Brazen Girl within a day, and it was quite different from the previous 2 books in the series. The plot itself progresses slowly and the focus instead is on character development and growth. Brazen Girl is a book about healing. It touches upon dealing with bullies, facing fears and trusting instincts. While it's perhaps not my favorite of the series, it's definitely what the series needed.
This is the third installment of the Brazen Series and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Watching the character development over this series has been enjoyable to say the least. We get a good sense of the struggles and frustrations that Jordan and Beck go through. Both of them have obstacles that they try to overcome and prove that through a lot of perseverance and sacrifice, anything is possible. Plus, they have really amazing friends that even I’m jealous of (and yes, I know they are all fictional characters). This is one of the reasons why I love Ali Dean’s characters and storylines so much though. She keeps it real and maintains endearing characters that you can’t help but to love. Plus, she brings up valuable lessons when it comes to certain topics. For example, cyber bullying. The way Ali Dean navigates around this and demonstrates her characters handling it was pretty inspiring.
I can’t wait to see what the fourth book will bring. I know it’s going to be pretty spectacular and I honestly can’t wait to read it!!
I never thought I would get to this book! It was well worth the wait. There is something special about Jordan and Beck. I love their ability to always put each other first.
This book in particular handles concussions in sports and I appreciate the series that much for it. Jordan’s journey back to what she loves was beautifully written.
Dean always makes the best worlds filled with the best friendships and just the right amount of suspense and drama.
This book is perfect just as the first two were. So much character development. I just love it! I need to buy them in PB, these book deserve to be on my shelf!
I enjoy living in the world of Ali Dean, but sometimes her characters get in the way. I 100% root for Jordan and Beck, and the other characters in the book for that matter, but there was a lot of time spent internally, waxing on about what-ifs and worries. It was the same in book 2, but the difference here is that there was some resolution to be had and there's always satisfaction in that. Once again I wish there were more skateboarding (the first book in the series was the best at this), and while there was some, I continue to wait for those emotional internal monologues during competition (like the Pepper books were so great at), and they never quite came. I find myself wondering if Pepper was so special because Dean herself was a runner, and the emotion of competition has trouble translating to other sports. But okay, that's all my complaining done. I think there are great messages in these books, about believing in yourself, how to handle online bullies, and the complexity of depression and pulling yourself out of it. Jordan is still very likable, even if she's maybe a little too perfect (even though she goes through a log, she still comes off pretty squeaky clean, especially in the morality vein). Beck is a great book boyfriend, even if he also is a little too perfect on the boyfriend front. I will eagerly be tuning in to the next chapter, but perhaps with slightly lowered expectations, making it not so hard to live up to said expectations. My hope is that the personal drama was mostly resolved in Brazen Girl, so in book 4 perhaps we will finally get a satisfying conclusion for the plot and competition.

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time reading and let me tell you Ali Dean has written another fantastic book! ♦️♦️ When Brazen Steele ended with Jordan getting hurt I really didn’t know what was going to happen to Jordan and how Beck was going to handle what had happened. The amount of stuff that Jordan has to deal with just because she is a female, great skateboarder, and is dating Beckett is crazy but at the same time this is all stuff that is so real. ♦️♦️ You definitely don’t want to miss what Jordan goes through on her way to recovery and what decision Beckett makes on reality tv show! Jordan and Beck are so steadfast of a couple! In this book, we are coming in right after Jordan's crash, and the aftermath of the social media blowout. Jordan has to work through if she really wants to be in this life in the spotlight, and what it really means to be with Beck. I love that Ali Dean's books focus on badass female characters, but also genuinely great male heros as well. It's refreshing to see the way some of the situations go between Jordan and Beck, the opposite of what you would think and somehow perfect for them as a couple. I can't wait to see how everything wraps up, hoping we get some answers on some burning questions in book 4! I can already tell that I will want to know what Beck and Jordan are doing after book 4!
*Spoliers* The whole story was great. I really enjoyed how Jordan had to work on herself, and Beck knew her well enough to let her. I love their relationship and the steadfast way that they love each other. I'm glad that Jordan has started to believe in her badass self again, and that Beck stood with her emotionally while she was doing so. It was so refreshing for Beck to be so committed to Jordan while he was away, I really enjoyed the situations and how they were not overly dramatized but still dealt with in a mature way. Can't wait to see what happens next!

This was a fantastic read. It is the third one and you definitely need to read the prior books as they are all about the same characters and follow one another closely. The characters have pulled me in from beginning to end, not only this book but the whole series! I love the way that the relationship has been built between the characters. We have really been able to get to know Beck and Jordan and their close group of friends well in the 3 books for the series so far. In this one, we really get to see Beck and Jordan work out some of the issues that they have been dealing with. Jordan makes a decision that splits the two of them while she is healing from her concussion. She is not in a good place with the stalkers and online bullies. Her confidence has taken a hit and she has to learn how to recover and embrace the new her. She has really come into her own with skateboarding prior to the fall but she always felt like an imposter with it. I loved some of the twists and surprises with the characters that happen in this book. There is more than enough to hold your attention throughout the entire book. I absolutely adored this!!! I can happily tell you that while there is another book for Jordan and Beck, this one does not end on a cliffhanger lol. I can't wait to pick up the next book for sure. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I love this series! My favorite Ali Dean series yet! The world of these characters is so clear without pages and pages of little details, I can see it and even feel the weather. One of the things I love most with this author is the technical details. There is no bland “the skateboarders finished and they won prizes” Nope we learn the parks and moves as if we are there and talking to them. I’m not sure I’m explaining this correctly, there is not extra words giving detailed descriptions that interrupt the flow of the story. It’s as if you can already see it and are talking to someone else there, we learn the details but don’t even realize the description has been clear enough to do so. I’m not sure if that makes sense but I hate books that stop the story with 2 pages of descriptions before the story continues.
The characters are good and the flow of their thoughts/actions is realistic. The personality of each character stays true and the relationships natural. I don’t write many reviews, I just wanted to share what great series this is and Ali your writing just gets better! No reused words or scenes, original and so technically detailed we as readers can only appreciate how much research you do for your writing.
Is Love worth fighting for when your pushed to your limit? How do you fight for what you want when life is pushing you down?
After an accident puts Jordan temporarily out of skateboarding, she starts questioning everything in her life including her relationship with Beck. The online bullying has her questioning whether she can be enough for Beck. She starts questioning if she even wants to compete or even skateboard anymore. Beck is trying to hold onto Jordan. He want to give her the space she needs to heal while trying to juggle his obligations. Jordan is it for him, now he just has to help her realize that she is enough and to help her return to the sport that she loves and to him.
I love Ali Dean’s books and this series is no exception. She tends to have very strong female leads that show a ton of growth. This book touches on a current problem in today’s society. Which is online bullying. Dean shows the emotional damage this can do to a person, especially if they aren’t reaching out for help. This book has fantastic side characters that rally and show tremendous support for Jordan.
Brazen Girl is the third book in the Brazen series by Ali Dean. It starts where Brazen Steele ended and continues the story of Jordan Slattery and Beckett Steele. Jordan has had a bad accident and in this book she is having to recover from it. At the same time Beckett is having to fulfill his contract and has to be away from her to film the reality TV show. It has left her questioning a lot in her life including her ability and talent to skate but Beckett is still determined to be there for her to support her in her recovery and her emotional journey. The accident has also affected Beckett who takes an emotional journey along with Jordan. This third book is well written and the story-line takes a much more emotional journey turn in Brazen Girl. Jordan has had a life changing experience and she has to now figure out what that means and how she wants to go forward, deciding on her path. This book does not end with a cliffhanger like the previous two but it is not the end of the story for Jordan and Beck. There will be at least one more book in this series and I can't wait to read it.
I love that Jordan really comes into her own in this book. It definitely isn't an easy journey for her after everything that happened in the last book. Maintaining a relationship while competing and representing a company is challenging under normal circumstances, but when you throw in insta-fame and jealous fans, things can become very overwhelming. Added to that is the fact that she is still very young. She has such maturity for someone her age, but it is a lot to deal with at eighteen. I love how Beckett respects and loves Jordan enough to give her the space she needs to figure things out, and isn't one of those demanding, all or nothing type of guys. These two are seriously one of my favorite book couples. Can't wait to read the last book in the series! This is such a great series! It will be sad to say goodbye to these two.

Brazen Girl has officially converted me to say that the Brazen Series is my ultimate favorite series by Ali Dean. The emotional tug this book had on my heartstrings left me craving more. The realistic response Jordan experiences portrays what a true athlete feels after a major injury. Jordan shows that the biggest game to overcome will always be your own mind-games. Jordan displays her true worth and strength as she overcomes her fears. As she deals with her doubts, Beck is by her side. He proves that he is a worthy match for Jordan. Not only do we see the growth of their maturity in self-reflection, but also their relationship. I love that through all the highs and lows that the group undergoes that the Brazen team always stands stronger on the other side. I am chomping at the bit to find how this series will end. It's one that I will read over and over again and never tire. I would be even more ecstatic if this continued with a spin-off series!
I really do love this series, and this may be my favorite book so far!!! I love that Ali chose to write about skateboarding, it’s not something I’ve read about anywhere else, and while I’m sure there are other books about the sport, it’s not common! (I love a good hockey romance, but it can get repetitive)
What I loved about this specific book was Jordan’s character growth, her injury was just part of what she needed to recover from, but the online bullying had taken its toll as well. The journey she goes through was tough to read about, but in the end it really did make her a stronger person. The same goes for Beck, they both had to realize they can’t control what people will think or say, and they have to just be confident in themselves and ignore the haters. I like how Levi’s story came into play as well.
I’m excited for the last novel of the series, I can’t wait to see how Jordan and Beck’s relationship ends up, and how Jordan’s career turns out!!
Brazen Girl is book three in the Brazen series. The female protagonist is Jordan Slattery, a talented skateboarder, who at the start of this series is a unknown in the professional skateboarding world. But when she moves to California for school all that changes in an instant. Just after arriving she meets Skateboarding champion Beckett Steele, and after some hiccups these two become a couple and Jordan starts to compete. But soon all that attention on social media gets to Jordan, after a bad fall she has to pause for a couple months, and she suddenly doesnt know if she wants to be part of the skateboarding scene, of Becketts scene. In Brazen Girl Jordan and Beckett have some stuff to fugure out, get their priorities right and find their way back to each other. I just loved Brazen Girl and I cant wait for Book 4!
This being the 3rd book in the series is about how Jordan was freaked out regarding social media and the effect it has on your psyche. In book 2 Jordan was obsessed with the haters on line. It took her from confident to freaked out regarding her skateboarding. When she got a concussion when she landed wrong after doing a trick. and could not skateboard until she healed. She left school and went home to recover. She decided to stay home for the next semester. Beck still has to participate in the reality show Shred Lives. A lot of craziness goes during the filming of the show. Eventually Jordan returns to California to attend college and resume her relationships there. She finally gets her confidence back and realizes that she can come back from her concussion and that she needs to not listen to what the haters say on social media.
The third book in the series and so far I think the best. It picks up right after Jordan's accident and how she handles her recovery and Beck's filming stint on "Shred Live". She made some not so popular decisions at that time (no spoilers!) that did work out at the end. Although we did get some bits and pieces of what went on in the "house" during filming, I would have liked more details about what Beck went through while he was stuck there for those months. Jordan did a lot of growing up while recovering at her parent's home during the summer and it was sweet when she and the gang got back together in California. I'm so eager to see where the story goes in book four, although will also be sad because it will also be the end of the story :(.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
After the horrible accident, Jordan’s life is really shaken up and she finds herself questioning her abilities and whether she can handle life in the spotlight, especially with how the public can so quickly turn against you. Beckett is amazing as he seems to know she needs some space and time to figure it all out for herself. He doesn’t push, just supports and is there if she needs him. It’s a time for growth and healing, for regaining confidence. These two handle it so well. And the reader can feel their emotions as they realize the dream doesn’t have to end.
This is really a good series that makes itself special to the reader in the story line and how well the characters are written. Those life-changing moments are so real and mean so much. Grab your copy and watch as Jordan gathers her strength and finds out who she can count on in her life.
Brazen Girl (book 3 in the Brazen series) starts right after Jordan has a brutal fall at Riptide skate park. Throughout the book we follow Jordan’s recovery from her fall, the ups and downs of her relationship with Beck and ultimately her decision of whether or not to return to skateboarding.
I love the growth Jordan goes through in this book. She starts to figure out what is really important to her and how to deal with those trying to sabotage her relationship, friendships and her skateboarding career. Pushing through her anxiety, she finds ways to deal with the invasive public and stay true to herself. By the end of Brazen Girl, badass Jordan is back. ❤️
I’m ready for the final installment, Brazen Tricks, to find out how things end up for Jordan and the rest of the crew.
Brazen Girl incorporates difficult subjects such as cyber-bullying and the proper aftercare involved with serious injuries. The series focuses on the competitive world of skateboarding with elite skaters in the high profile world of Beckett Steele and Jordan Slattery. She experiences multiple cases of cyber-bullying and the serious injuries that keep happening. Their romance has to be kept undercover until the final broadcast of a reality show that Beckett was competing in is aired. Their romance is further complicated by another concussion that Jordan receives while practicing, that sidelines her and sends her home. Ms. Dean writes with authenticity and makes the reader experience the life of an elite skateboarder through their fame, and what it takes to be elite. I'm truly anticipating the next in this series, always the signs of a very good series.
So this is the 3rd book in this Series! Ali Dean has hit it out of the park again! Jordan is perfect at being not perfect! She is as real as it gets. She is extremely authentic and I love how the author lets the reader just dive right into her train of thought. I absolutely love that she always has doubts but she always goes with her heart! I was really happy that no matter what Jordan did, Beck was always going to be in her life. He wanted to be that constant rock. My favorite parts were when all her friends that she has met over the series, had her back and were extremely supportive in her decisions. I can't wait till September when I finally get to see what is in store for Jordan's career and Beck's stalkers!

Brazen Girl 5 stars for Brazen Girl by Ali Dean. This is book 3 in the Brazen Series. Book two ended in a cliffhanger and this book picks up right after it. Jordan was in a bad crash at her competition. She is given devastating news. With not being able to skateboard she begins to turn away from everyone and everything even Beck. It seems Jordan is in a state of depression. Poor Beck, his heart is broken, but he is not going to give up on Jordan. He is what every man should be. I love his character. I could not put the book down. I needed to know what was to come of Beck and Jordan. What will their relationship become? “We all make mistakes. It’s how we handle them afterward that counts.” I am ready for book 4. I need to know what is next for all of these characters, not just Beck and Jordan.
