An odd one as its an official Vietnamese academic written Ho Chi Minh biography - plenty of clunky translations from the original. Some wonderful phraseology - I lost count of the references to 'imperialist lackeys'! Very much written in 'our glorious leader' style but interesting nonetheless. He was a fascinating character who is still absolutely revered across Vietnam as the father of the nation.

A quick read. Uncle Ho was the Goat! Seeing as this is a translation and originally published in Vietnamese, the English lacks fluidity here and there. Overall this book serves it purpose as a brief, introductory sample of Ho Chi Minh's impressive life.

Picked it up in the airport of Hanoi, detailed account of Ho Chi Minhs incredible life.
