Sakura Fox is an author, entrepreneur and a witch. Her approach to WishCraft and witchcraft is accessible, modern, and fun. She is the founder of the WishCraft Academy, an online resource for women who want to explore the world of magickal manifesting without having to perform complex ceremonies or complicated spells. Sakura is passionate about inspiring women to have the confidence to become the Mistresses of their own destiny through her teaching, which combines spiritual development, self-appreciation and powerful Cosmic communication.
When she isn’t focussed on WishCraft, Sakura enjoys horse-riding, home-making, and a pink Gin fizz with friends. She lives in rural South Wales, by the sea, with her two grown-up daughters and their cats, Rhubarb and Crumble.
I had to put this down because it was so gendered-specific and not what I signed up for. I wish 😏that had been indicated in the title. Because although I do identify as female, I felt like the word choices were leaving out others unnecessarily and that happens enough places without the craft needing to add to it.
I can see it comes from a place of love and the author seems like the sweetest person. But I got lost with the amount of ingredients mentioned in this.
This book didn't sit quite right with me, but just because it's not for me. I can see if it reached its target audience they might enjoy it. This book is specifically for women (this is important because it doesn't specify that elsewhere) who want to dip their toes into magick but are afraid of the words "spells" and "witchcraft." The spells in this book are called "wishes" (hence, Wishcraft), don't actually start until halfway through the book, and read more like something you'd find in a tumblr post. It is, as it says, a complete beginner's guide, but to me, as someone with an existing serious practice, this book came across as a bit silly.
I especially loved that Sakura incorporates ACTION alongside your wishes - the small suggestions following your rituals was useful and motivating. The rituals and recipes didn’t drag so I could actually sit and read through them easily.
This book is very femme centered, which is not always my favourite personally, but I really enjoyed it. It's light, it's practical, it makes a point to remind you that you don't need a bunch of fancy expensive things - which I think is very important. There is a lot I bookmarked and will go back to and find ways to use in the future.
‘When a witch embodies self-love, her energy becomes magnetic and her sense of possibility becomes contagious.’ DACHA AVELIN : Stated before my favorite and super easy self love bathing ritual. Wishcraft lives up to its title as a perfect intro to the magickal correspondences that we can use to survive this ugly world.
This book is so fun and great if you want a different take on manifesting what you want from the universe. It's so well written and I love the little spells that you can do for different things :) would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to take control of what they want in life :) 10/10
Great book! Very interesting and I loved how Sakura Fox made it simple and easy to understand. Not a bunch of mumble jumble. Great for starters in the craft. Lots of spells also. Which I am happy for because I never know what to do or how to do them.
Easy to read and enjoyable. I enjoyed Sakura's take on what works for her and the rituals she offers are really easy and simple for anyone to do or even adapt to their own.
This book is so beautiful. Love the fact this book has information on moons and numerology which I find it missing in other books. The spells section is huge can’t wait to dig in ❤️
I was really excited about reading this. Then I did.
This book was written specifically for women even though that was not really made clear until you started reading the first chapter. I don't like when someone rather blatantly puts out that men cannot be witches.
But hey, I'll just look past the fact that this is directed to women only and try to learn as much as I can about using the power of wishes to manifest.
Part 2 had good information. I enjoyed and agreed with the Part 3. There is a lot to be said about working on yourself and having the right mindset and space.
However, there are supposed to be resources with this book. There is supposed to be an online community and access to a personal profile. This book was published in 2020. It is now nearing the end of 2021. The website is basically just a landing page with a contact form and the very basics. Submit your email to join the mailing list and download the first chapter of the book for free. But the promised resources don't exist. There is no community. The online support and chat assistant never gets back to you.
The author released this book, set up a website and a Facebook page, and then forgot about it all.
I listened to this book on Hay House Unlimited app. Goodreads doesn't have a listing for the audiobook yet. But I also have the book and glad I do. This is one that I really enjoyed listening to it but you must get the book to get all the goodies. I was pleasantly surprised of all the "magickal" formulas Sakura has entered in this book. And I loved listening to this especially the narration. Especially when she would provide the wish or mantra to ask for or say after each. Good book. Make a wish. Wish for this book. Blessings.
