In India, especially in Hindi or regional languages, you will get fewer options for middle grades or YA readers based on mythological action thriller. Because sometimes it is not that much encouraged by parents. In India parents still, prefer their kids to read syllabus than literature/stories. I feel books that can encourage younger generation should reach them and if that can be done in their preferred language then it's even better.

Rankshetram series by Utkarsh is efforts in bringing a mythological world in front of readers where they can see events unfolds before them like watching a series. Utkarsh has taken the support of existing mythological plots and woven his story around it. Those who have not read the first two parts can check our review here (Links). It is recommended to read both parts before you venture into part 3.

The story of part 3 is solely concentrated on Dubhiksh and Durdhara, as suggested in the title. Durbhiksh is shown as protagonist and antagonist both. The book has two major sections. The first part covers how Durbhiksh & Durdhara met, how in disguise of Surjan he helped Durdhara and her people. This part shows Durbhiksh's war strategy as a normal human. The second part covers how Durbhiksh join Dacoit group (handled by Meghvarna & Chandraketu) on their mission to Singhal-desh. This part covers strategies and cleverness of Meghvarna. Unlike previous parts, this book has limited plots & fights. It is written with more detailing and maturity. You will find out more about Durbhiksh as a great warrior in this part. Read the book to know more.

As I just mentioned, apart from action, this part covers war strategies and political tactics. Where the first two parts had shown only cunningness of Rakshguru, here other characters have shown their sides. The entry of Jamvan, Garudas & Dravidian has brought new twists to the story. Two characters got the major platforms are Durbhiksh & Meghvarna. By the end of this book, I can visualize where the author is leading the story. I can sense even bigger war than shown in previous parts. Let's see how it will turn out.

Talking about improvement points
1) The author has used limited words vocabulary. Specially words like "Zilla Utha" / "Zillaya", "Nischit Mudra"/ "Nischit Jagha". There are such repetitive words. I feel the author could have taken help, to improve it.
2) Word "Nischit" (means certain) was provided so many times I lost the count. You will find that word after every 3-4 pages. Like, he went to a certain place, he came in a certain position. The author could have elaborated better.
3) Found 5-6 typing mistakes especially in Kindle version. Which I think will be corrected by the time you guys will get your copy.

Overall a super-fast read, which can give you company in your short vacation. For Kindly unlimited users book is free for you. So just grab the copy.

I will give 4/5 stars to Part 3 of Rankshetram.

यह रणक्षेत्रम् की महागाथा का तीसरा खंड है । जिसमें दुर्भीक्ष की प्रेम कथा है जहां अपने प्रेम के लिए दुर्भीक्ष ने अपना सिंहासन व सम्मान त्यागने का मन बना लिया था और शांतिपूर्ण जीवन जीने को तैयार हो गए परंतु एक असत्य ने उन सभी परिस्थितियों को बदलकर असुरेश्वर को दुबारा जीवित कर दिया‌।

साथ ही यह कहानी एक ऐसी द्रविड़ सभ्यता के विषय में है जिसे अपनी भूमि से निष्कासित कर दिया गया था और अब वह अपनी मातृभूमि को वापस पाने के लिए लौट रही हैं।

साथ ही कहानी में कुछ और नए पौराणिक पात्र भी जुड़े हैं जिन के विषय में आपको कहानी पढ़कर पता चलेगा।
नई पात्रों से जुड़ते जुड़ते कहानी और रोचक होती जा रही है और हर खंड में अपनी एक रोचकता है जो मेरे मन को कहानी से बांध देती है ।

कहानी का हर एक खंड बहुत ही अच्छा है।

Taking with the bottom of my heart
This is the best read of all times, the narration is good the timing is perfect, the language is easy in the Hindi version as well. The cover is fabo.
The protagonist both of them are amazing,and their story also, with every chapter author was revealing a new secret, suspense, thriller, sentiments this book is full of package I m now just waiting for the last part cause there are lots of suspense and secrets still hiding in it and I also want to know how this series will end .

We've already covered the previous two books of the Rankshetram series. I was super excited each time I finished one book to move on to the other and surprisingly enough, every single one of it stood up to my excitement till now. This third book "Rankshetram (Part - 3)" is no exception.

In this third volume of the epic story of Rankshetram there is a love story of Durbheeksha, where Durbheeksha had made up his mind to give up his throne and honor for her love and agreed to live a peaceful life, but an untruth changed all those circumstances and brought Asureshwar back to life.
The story unfolds layer by layer.
Keeping all the characters alive in each part is what made the third part so much more exciting.
Along side this, some other mythological characters are also introduced to the tale, approximately which you may recognise by reading the tale.
The story is getting extra exciting with the addition of new characters and every phase has its own attraction which binds my thoughts with the tale. Author Ashraf's books for the mythology genre are breathtaking.

My expectations for the "Rankshetram" series kept growing greater with every read and it never disappointed. Now, I am really very excited to review the next part of this series as well... Stay tuned for it! Also, if you haven't already, get your hands on the "Rankshetram" series, I bet you all will love it!

बेहतरीन पौराणिक कथा । शानदार और रोमांचकारी ।।।


अदम्य साहस से परिपूर्ण एक और भाग
रणशेत्रम के भाग तीन में कई घुमाव दार और रहस्यमय पड़ाव है जो लेखक के बेहतरीन काल्पनिक कहानी लिखने की कला को दर्शाता है । जो कहानी को रोलर कोस्टर जैसे घुमाते हैं। दुर्भिक्ष की वापसी और उसका दुर्धरा से प्रेम तथा बहुत ही अधिक न्याय प्रिय नायक के रूप में उसको चरित्रार्थ किया हैं ।
गंधर्व , नाग, डकैत , गरूड़ हस्तिनापुर , दक्षिण के द्रविड़ को मिलाते हुए बेहतरीन लिखा है । आर्यावर्त की भूमि पहले जम्बूदीप से जानी जाती थी इस तरह का इतिहास तक इस किताब में पड़ने को मिलता है ।
युद्धों और कई लड़ाइयों को खूब अच्छा विसुलाइज किया गया है ।
सभी पात्रों को हर भाग में जीवत रखते हुए तीसरे भाग को इतना ज्यादा रोमांचक बना दिया है कि अब आगे के भाग का इंतजार नहीं हो रहा हैं ।
उत्कर्ष जी आपको बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद लेकिन जल्दी ही अगला भाग निकाले।

This is the third part of the series and the story isn’t completed yet. Asureshwar Durbheeksha, the greatest villain comes back in this part. It answers a lot of questions that weren’t answered in first two parts but now those questions have been answered but new questions have been raised.

The language is Hindi. This book is a roller coaster ride with end number of twists and turns. The characterisation is perfect. Order your copy now !

This book focuses on the love story of Durbheeksh and Durdhara. Jaamvant feels Durbheeksha’s clean heart and takes him to travel so that he can learn more about people and society. During this, he faces Dacoits, and there he sees Durdhara for the first time. Durdhara is a princess of Gandharva. Knowing their intension Durbheeksh fights from their side. Soon, He falls in love with her however his life is never so easy.

The king of Patalpuri, Durbheeksh aka Surjan is now wanting to live an ordinary life but due to the plotting of Bhairavnath, he gets a curse that his lover is going to be a reason for his death.

On the other hand, Mahabali Akhand is training two boys for the death of Durbheeksh.

Durbheeksh loses every happiness in his life but who is the reason behind this? Who are these boys, who are getting trained? What will happen with the love story of Durbheeksh and Durdhara? You have to read the next book to get answers.

My perception:

I simply loved this book; the author has the brilliant power to visualize. Each and each incident and character are unique in its way. With each book, the author is creating more sub-plots and he perfectly manages them to write a spellbound saga of Jamboodweep. This is one of the few books which you can read anytime.

In third part ,Durbheeksha and Durdhara , we came to know about one more story of love and betrayal and blood bath .
While ,returning from a war against Hashtinapur , Durbheeksha chance upon few Garurs and Reech Jamwant . He killed King of Garur in a fair fight but his wife misunderstood the situation and cursed him. After meeting Jamwant ,he accompanied him for a journey .
In this journey ,Durbheeksha fell in love with Durdhara who is princess of Gandharva . He saved her and her father and also fellow Gandharva.
But again ,Bhairavnath played his cruel game and after lot of plotting and planning he manage to separate Durbheeksha and Durdhara.
He was heart broken but he again became his old self . What happened ,did they meet and who are two warrior Prince who is life threat of Durbheeksha? So many questions? One solution , read the series and you will know .

It's a wonderful Read. The Author has kept his grip over Story completely. The narration, the fight scenes everything so realistically narrated that you can visualise each and every scene . I am completely awestruck by this book. As I keep saying Author has done a tremendous job and well researched book. Kudos to him for all his efforts and hard works .
A fabulous read!!
