Mika was a girl who liked to have fun. Young and beautiful, her life was all about drinking, partying, hitting the club, and kicking it with whatever brother could take her to the next level physically. But it all changed in an instant when she found herself at the wrong place, at the wrong time – and with the wrong man. Having seen something she shouldn’t have, Mika goes on the run. But constantly looking over your shoulder takes its toll, and Mika soon finds herself beaten down by a life of perpetual vigilance. Kane’s a thug, one-half of a partnership that’s growing fast and taking over the streets. He’s done a lot of things that can’t be forgiven, but one thing he can’t forget is the girl who saw him commit a brutal crime – a witness that he let walk away. When circumstances force them together, Mika and Kane have no choice but to rely on each other in order to survive. But will the struggle to stay alive cause them to ignore the growing mutual attraction between them?

Overall, the book was decent.. lots of drama from the start.

(Nirvana Blaque)
This was my first read by this author... The storyline was okay... It was a little all over the place...The flow of this book is way off... I just could not grasp it... The author does a lot of rambling on about a lot of unnecessary stuff... so it is hard to tell what this storyline is about... There are so many unnecessary details yet details I need are kind of scattered... It was a little bit of a hard read and I could not get a connection with these characters...
Mika was all over the place... I think she was young but the life she lived and how she was described was as if she was way older... I feel lost with her and what she was about... What did she do for a living... How did she get to where she is... Where is all her family... I mean i know she has siblings but lonely one was brought up and thay was briefly... She has a cousin that she is suppose to be close to but even that relationship was a little disconnected for me...
With Kane I don't know much about him either... Just a few things thrown in there But not enough to really know him...
The relationship between them was a little strange.. It moved real quick... How did they go from him trying to kill her to then in a full blown relationship after 1 day...
I am going to give part 2 a try to see if things can change...

Ok read
I'm gonna say a 3.5. The storyline was decent. I enjoyed the slight comedic banter between Mika and Kane. I must say I smelt who it was from their first intro. I will say I felt like the language/dialect was a bit outdated. Especially in the beginning with Mika being at Tweets's. I was looking forward to reading about how their future went, but honestly not enough for me to read more books. I feel like for this to be a series things progressed waaaaayyy too fast. Outside of that 5 months on the run everything else happened in what a day or 2. I do plan to check out more works from this author, but just not this series.

hot read
I loved this story, this story had my heart
pounding on certain scenes because I didn’t know what was going to happen, I loved that she was a very strong person and she didn’t have a problem expressing herself or asking questions, she was also very witty and so was he. When the Mystery chemistry is there it’s just there , I don’t care how injured a man is , he would still have sex, Lmbooooooooo. I can’t for part 2 the ending was good.

This was an absolutely marvelous read. The action an interactions kept me riveted till the very end. The characters are whole and fleshed out and I enjoyed their personalities. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I think you will as well.

mika and Kane
I loved how this story started off. I’m glad Kane didn’t kill Mika. Noose was shady and for a minute I thought Jaycee was. Mo was a jerk and crackhead. Jade was just as shady and got what she deserved. This was a good read. Part 2 here I come!!

Not bad
Nicely written and entertaining short drama. I usually avoid books of this length but I wasn't disappointed. Kane is thuggish with a heart. Mika is street smart and knows how to handle herself. Good read!

Wow!
This is my first time reading this author but I am most definitely a fan now! Kane & Kima balanced each other out in so many ways & they prove that love knows no time. I knew Jade wasn't to be trusted but she was shadier than I suspected. Poor Jay was blinded by the 🍑.

I kived this book from beginning to end. I'm so proud of Kane for not killing Mika and I'm happ they found love. I felt so bad for Jaycee but Kane tried to warn him from the beginning. I'm happy to know he really didn't set his brother up. On to Part 2, I can't wait!

Absolutely a GREAT READ!!!…I love the way Mika is moving and still standing on her feet while she is learning!!!…Got me wanna make sure I keep a blade on me!!!…It’s crazy how you can’t really trust the ppl in your crew and how money will flip ppl on you!!!…

I loved it
