I’m a hard charging billionaire who has built up an incredibly successful company... but with Valentine’s Day coming up, I realize I don’t have anyone meaningful to share it with.
On Monday morning, as soon as Gemma got into my elevator, I knew I wanted her luscious curves.
After her presentation in the boardroom, I knew I needed her clever mind.
Gemma’s been married to her work. Now its time that she marries me.
I’ve got a very special first date planned for us, complete with a ring.
All week, I’ve been trying to get her alone to ask her out... as soon as I see that she’s the only one in the elevator— well, good thing I can move fast—
Gemma:
Is it Valentine’s Day again? Really?
Not a big day for me given that I’m married to my job, and haven’t dated in at least a year.
I’m prepared to go home to spend the holiday on my couch streaming movies with my cat, when Harris Blaine, billionaire CEO, and man of my dreams, jumps into my elevator just before the doors close.
Just the two of us standing next to each other as the elevator starts going down.
Yeah, those thoughts totally went through my head.
Me and the unbelievably gorgeous guy... alone... together...
But it’s not like I would ever act on a fantasy like that... I’m a workaholic bookworm who’s a mom to a cranky cat... I don’t do hot encounters.
I wasn’t expecting the elevator to really stop though.
And I definitely wasn’t expecting that kiss...

Love in an elevator..............or at least pole dancing on your CEO on a Monday morning

What do you do when your Monday morning is one mishap after another ending in using the CEO of your company like a pole dancer on a Friday night and then groping him all before you exit a crowded elevator? Well if you are anything like young and smart Gemma then you get yourself together and start that big presentation which could really kick your career into gear. And if you are anything like Harris, said gropee and pole, then you have some "executive time" in your office while getting your PA to track down the girl that got off on another floor. After all he has more than a few dirty thoughts about things he can do to her.
So color them both surprised when Gemma is doing her presentation and in walks Harris to see the talented Gemma that he has heard about but never met. Now he has her in his sights the only thing to do is have his lawyers change the employee manual so he can date her, against the major objections of his lawyers, and then ask her out. But that will take until the end of the work day on Friday, Valentine's Day, before he can get her alone. It is in an elevator again and the ride down turns into much more than a pole dance.
This is a fun, flirty, fast-paced and entertaining short story. This is the first time I have read a book by this Author and I liked it. My one issue is that it needs another round with a good proofreader as there were a number of errors.

Harris is the owner and CEO of Blaine, Inc. He is an insanely attractive, over the top alpha. He knows what he wants, and goes after it full force. Gemma is a fiesty, beautiful, and young up and coming employee at Blaine, Inc - with a major crush on her boss' boss' boss. A rushed entrance onto a very crowded elevator sees these two meeting for the first time. While Gemma knows immediately who she's pressed so intimately against, Harris only knows that the beautiful girl that got off on the 17th floor (the wrong floor) is his future. Imagine his surprise when she pops up in his morning meeting, wowing him with an incredible presentation. As soon as the meeting concludes, Harris gets his lawyers to work revising the employee handbook, all so he can ask out Gemma without violating company policy. (Swoon!) He then proceeds to play hide and seek with Gemma for the rest of the week. Gemma is convinced he realized she had a crush on him, and kept dodging him - not wanting him to think that the change in policy means she's angling for a chance to date him. Little does she know he has much more in mind! Finally, late Friday evening, Valentine's Day, Harris manages to corner her in an elevator. The elevator aids in his plans by stalling, tapping the two, giving them plenty of time to confess their feelings.
This is a quick read, steamy and sexy. A perfect read for Valentine's Day! I loved it!

Short but intense

Very good short romance, very well written, very hot and partly funny in the first chapters with a heroine Gemma, who is not afraid of what she wants even if she has it only in her imagination at the beginning.
She works a lot and she fantasizes about Harris, her boss's boss's boss. The day she has to make a presentation to the leaders, she finds herself pushed into the elevator against the object of her fantasy, which he thinks she did on purpose. The following days, he will do everything to be able to seduce her.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough left you wanting more twists and turns with emotions that makes you wanting more. The book was a short story but OMG! Loved the Harris and Gemma, billionaire CEO boss and just a normal worker, but a very hard worker. Chemistry between them was hot and steamy like a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

This is an OTT quick read Valentine’s Day romance featuring Harris, billionaire and CEO of his namesake company Blaine Incorporated, and Gemma, a rising employee at Blaine Incorporated. They first meet in a crowded elevator and then again in the company’s boardroom when Gemma makes a presentation. Harris is instantly in love with her and pursues her after the company’s fraternization policy is changed. But what happens the next time they meet alone in a stalled elevator? I recommend this quick read with romance in the elevator.

Their second meeting was full of innuendos involving bananas....at least that's what Harris believes. Gemma's "moxie" convinces Harris that she's the one. Will their second elevator ride convince her that's he's her one? All I will say is that you will never look at an elevator ride the same......

Nina Dawn is a new author for me and after reading Taken, I am hooked. It was story of Harris and Gemma. Harris is her boss's boss's boss and the subject of Gemma's dirtiest fantasies. The day of her big presentation turns fantasy into reality when there is an encounter in the elevator neither will soon forget. Now that Harris has had a taste, he definitely wants more. And as the big banana, he is determined to claim her once and for all. The Harris Inc. rulebook is about to change! 5 stars!

An absolutely fantastic fast pace engaging page turner that will draw you in from the first page and hold you captivated until the end! It is well written, emotionally deep, witty, funny, and quite enjoyable. Likeable characters; the chemistry between them is amazing and instant. A recommended read!

Gemma is married to her job and her billionaire boss Harris has to hots for her. Harris has made a plan for Gemma and as soon as he gets her on the elevator he puts his plan into action to make her his. Cute Valentine short story and loved how Harris takes matters into his own hands.
