The Readers Digest Encounters book that I read wasn't this one, but the one I read wasn't listed on Goodreads. The one I read had "Tracy" about Cyclone Tracy, "A Wild Life" about Jeff and Mare Carter's life making a wildlife reserve on the south coast of NSW, "The Floating Brothel" about the convict ship, Lady Julian which brought a shipload of female convicts to NSW in 1789, and "Stolen Lives" about the family of a Moroccan General who tried to stage a coup, and the family (widow and 6 children) were kept in prison for 20 years for his crime. They were all very good, and the last was as appalling as it was amazing.
