A number of high school friends are on a boat ⛵ trip when the boat ⛵ catches on fire 🔥. They manage to swim 🏊 to an island. Here they struggle to survive with lessons hard learned. Then one of the young man 🚹dies. They elect a leader. They start building a raft so they can leave the island. Continued in book two.
I would recommend this two book series and author to 👍 readers of young adult relationships novels. 2023 👒😀💘😕
A group of (mostly) selfish, bitchy college kids gets stranded on a deserted island in this book, which really should be labeled "Part 1," because it just abruptly ends with no resolution to any story lines. If there were a Part 2, the ending would make sense, but instead nothing is resolved, no one is rescued, and none of the secrets everyone is hiding ever come out. It's a good start to a novel, but not a complete one, which is why I'm only giving it 3 stars.
Did not like this one. It's supposed to be about a group of friends that set off on a "last summer before college vacation" on a boat that end up stranded on a island. But instead you get 90210 backstabbing frenemies out to steal each others boyfriends and blackmail each other. Like that's what they should be focusing on. Oh and the constantly make fun of the one person actually trying to help everyone survive by making fire, shelter and fishing supplies. He was the only semi interesting character, but still wasn't that interesting. Absolutely no character growth. And very little suspense just high school drama. The book ends on a cliffhanger with no book two so far, not that I would read it.
