This book is really all about war above ground rather than anything that might happen in a dungeon. Sure, there are some nice level-up points within the side characters and the dungeon, himself, but while this is entertaining on its own, collecting the full hoards and mass-death, we are missing actual character development.

Fortunately, the book is also short and what it does offer is still fairly interesting... if totally expected.

One thing I should mention: some more editing would have done this novel justice, if not for the line-item stuff, but whole story areas that are repeated, often verbatim, if also done from alternating PoVs. I'd say, "Choose one." More isn't necessary.

Perspective changes ruined this

Short book for the price. The author tried to do chapters from different perspectives each time and it was very jarring. Loved the first 2, but really dropped the ball on this. If he wanted to experiment with a different writing style, he should have started a new series and not ruined this one.

I really liked book 1 but sadly dungeon plays almost no role anymore, most of the story takes place outside the dundeon. On top the story went "over power everything daragonballZ style" mode.

Another great robotics core story!

The depth and breadth of the various sub stories and characters, which all weave together with the main plot and character, is excellent and really makes the world feel more 'real' to me. Of course, this means that besides the standard need for a dungeon to grow and build, there are plots, betrayals, other drama, monsters external to the dungeon, etc. There are also snippets of humor throughout, which I appreciate.

Ready for book four now! :)

If you like wet power dreams with scantly clad girls calling you father, this is the book for you

So many side characters! Most often I cant even keep track of who we are following in the current chapters. So many new ones, each with less characher then the last. Oh, that dude being super important for the world and some of our main charcters died? Lets not mention that again, its more important to see how henchman #17's drones train or make their bullets.

So many new weapons, each are made seemingly for free and each more epic then the last. The completely epic weapon that blew everyone away is a childs toy 3 chapters later.

Oh! It cost 1.7 mill mana to do that thing? Last time we got numbers 1000 mana was a lot.

Oh, side character we dont know the name of evolved again? Also, why do I know so much about the peoples chest sizes? That a girl is sexy, looks like a 15 year old (!) and wants to call Regan her father is NOT a personality.

So many things! Someone should tell the author that you should focus on the GOOD parts of a story when writing.

The author retells the same episode multiple times from various characters' viewpoints.
This quickly becomes boring, as the reader knows from the previous chapter how the events are going to unfold.

The detailed combat descriptions are bleak and tedious, as their outcome is either know from the previous retelling or obvious (the controlled test environment under Mary Sues' supervision).

I was all set to complain about how short this book was until I checked and it turned out to be 331 pages long. When I finished the Kindle version I was guessing 150. I suspect I missed the mark for two reasons: First, this book has a pretty narrow focus. Sure secondary characters have breakthroughs and the MC continues with his experiments, but really those are just details. The sole focus of this book are the battles with the monster hordes. One horde is coming from the east and one from the west so Morgan takes care of one horde and leaves the second to the local lord, Louella, and her retainers and adventurers' guild.

The second reason I believe I misjudged the length is because I really did enjoy and so sped right through it. I do think this is a book that can be damned by too high of expectations and, in truth, it really only rates 3.5 stars- I am well aware that my enjoyment doesn't necessarily relate to quality. Still, I was happy to round up to four stars for this book.

Bottom line: worth the read as long as you don't expect it to be more than it is.

While this kind of felt like a filler book, no real plot progress other than ramping the powers of the protagonists, it was still a decent read and I blazed through the book in a couple of days. I typically save these books for when I'm traveling, but since I doubt I'll get on a plane again for months, I'm reading them when they come out. One star off for being a filler book but it was a good read and while you likely could skip this one the battle that takes up most of the book is actually very interesting.

It’s ok. First and second one were way better.

I really liked the first and second, good pacing and plot development. The third book seems to focus way too heavily on detailed fight descriptions for many pages for the most part and then suddenly in the last 5% of the book there is finally some plot progress again. Enough to spark interest for the forth one. I hope the battle scenes got curbed in that one.
Also, the robot „children“ are suddenly and without explanation way too human, e.g. they frown, have desires and such. Almost like you are reading a different series.

Enjoyable

I liked this one more than book 2. I won’t lie the writing has a superficial quality, but you can feel it improve every chapter and as time goes by through immersion and context you start to feel the story and the characters as you get to know them. A lopsided plot driven story that just goes and goes and goes, constant and consistent improvements in the world building without giving too much away as to the end game... so many books over play the great big bad guy angle and ruin a story with an OP MC. This one does not.

Monsters And Robots And Zombies, Oh My!

The battle between the Automata Dungeon and the Council of Necromancer grows in scope and deviousnees as more actors join the conflict; each driven by their own motivation and pursuing their own goal.

This being the third book in a lengthy series, I recommend checking reviews of the first book, or reading it yourself, to see if this is a story which will hold your interest.

This novel, and the series of which it is a part, will likely appeal to fans of the Fantasy, Dungeon Core, and LitRPG genres; as well as those who enjoy playing RPGs.

Okay

Okay, so both a lot and absolutely nothing happened. Monsters arrived and defeated and new ideas introduced. But the story was spread among so many viewpoints that it became confusing and non-linear. Each perspective switch went back in time then ran up to some event they had in common before another switch. Still good, but I hope the next is better.

Another great installment.

This book in the series really seems to setup for a lot of future content. I did feel it didnt have a lot of the normal dungeon aspects I come to expect, but it did not detract from the quality of this book. I am excited to pickup the next book in the series.

Can't stop reading these books

I love this story. The balance of action to build up is superb and each book pushes the limits of what I thought the extent of the story was. While there's not one single end goal the way the author takes us on a ride with each of the characters is unique and super fun

Good book

It would be a great book without the f-bombs. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. There were few typos like "constricted " should've been "restricted", but very few that I saw.

Nice but not much gets resolved

A good book with plenty of action, intrigue, magic and new things, but not much gets resolved. New elements and developments are constantly being introduced but ot finalized, or furder followed. That being said, I can't wait to get the next book.

Good, but a little eratic

An excellent book that is only limited by the erratic nature of a few of the chapters. This is caused by either character perspective changes or jumps in time.

However despite this issue, this is still an excellent book that progresses the story well.

Looking for a bit more.

This one was a little short, but that was due to the way the storyline came out. The four stars is due to the lack of surprise in this book. At this point the author seems to falling into a bit of a rut with the story.

Love it

Can’t wait for the next one, great story. Interesting characters. The jumping about gets a little confusing until you’re used to it. Still want to know what happens next though.

Lots of action

Great writing for this book. The MCs grow in power and face almost overwhelming adversity. The plot never gets boring, and while the dungeon building aspects aren’t as present in this book, the action and intrigue more than make up for it. Well worth the read.

Another great book in the series

This series is amazing. I cant put any of these books down. Theres never a dull moment and all the characters have a depth that isn't annoying and over the top.

I'm going through this series like a bag of sweets. Just one after the other.

There is just something about a protagonist who gets things done. I don't even mind all the POV switches. Can't wait to see all the schemers come up short.

Good but it felt short

I'm enjoying this series, but the main issues I've run into are the constant jumping from one viewpoint to another, and lately the fact that the previews for the next book seem to take up a huge amount of space that I expected to be reading this one in.

Pretty decent continuation.

It has the usual power-ups and escalations as a series. But, it also had sudden bouts of nudity and that sort of thing. Not too intrusive but they are there.

tolerable

Skimming is a necessity for reading this book. The story is just good enough to make me continue, but only because I’m between other books. If food, it’d be gas station food.

Despite this being a dungeon core story, this particular book is really all about war above ground rather than anything that might happen in a dungeon. Overall the story was fine, but not what I was looking for.

A good time

A good time. Sometimes the language used is somewhat confusing but none the less the books action is interesting and more than makes up for it.
