Normally this would fall on my fantasy shelf as the heroine time travels back to the past but since reincarnation is the only mystical thing in the series I am going to leave it in YA instead.

First off its very hard to find English translations for this book BUT so worth finding and reading.
This is a book it would be worth learning how to read Mandarin for.
I searched for an English version of this book after falling in love with the Chinese TV Series based off of this book.
Truly a great read! As always the book is better but the TV series didn't become a disappointment once I read the book, instead I understood why they made the changes they did.

If someone offered for me to forget one book just so I could experience it all over again, without a doubt it would be this one. I loved the TV show so much that when I found the English translation I couldn’t help myself. It’s definitely different from the TV in that this falls under the fantasy genre and Minglan is a modern woman who mistakenly timetravels into ancient China. The expansion of Minglan’s and Gu Ting Ye’s story is just an absolute pleasure to read.
