“A reluctant princess who’d rather break balls than attend them.”

Never seen with a hair out of place, Nicole Jones has a great life by anybody’s standards. She was adopted at birth and welcomed into the loving Jones Tailoring family of Atlanta and she’s now co-owner of a burgeoning fashion boutique with her best friend Tillar. Although she’s eternally grateful for the life she was given, she still can’t ignore that empty void that just wants to know where she came from. After secretly searching for most of her life, she finally gets a lead on her birth parents’ whereabouts and refuses to let anything, not even the worst blizzard on record for New York state, stop her from getting the answers that she’s looking for. But when a series of unfortunate events land the proud man-eater on the world’s worst road trip with middle Logan brother Chasen, she finally begins to understand why no one ever lets their hair down around him.

The Faded Fairytales Series follows Logan brothers Cameron, Christian, and Chasen on their individual quests to conquer love, sex, and maturation while also grieving and attempting to rebuild their fractured brotherhood.

And, the award for the first female f*ck boy goes to...... Listen, Nicole ain't nothin' but a man trapped in a woman's body. She was out there in those ATL streets breakin' hearts left and right honey and I was absolutely here for it! Nicole lived her life how she saw fit and didn’t give a damn what anyone thought of her. But, my heart absolutely broke for her when we found out why she treated men the way she did. Nicole soldiered through her pain and came out on the other side a stronger woman. Poor Chase. He was not even a little bit ready for Nicole. I loved the way she handled him. He was hot as fish grease when she had him runnin' behind her because, that's just not what Chase does. But, that's what he did for Nicole. He was absolutely love struck and didn't know how to handle it. Nicole had some issues to work through herself but, I was happy she was able to get past the hard exterior she built up towards men and finally give herself a chance at true love with Chase. Did you have to take Ms. Ida out?!!! I was really hoping she made through each book without going home to glory. RIP Ms. Ida. I was not a fan on the narrator. I started out on the fence because, at times, I liked her performance and, other times, I did not. As the book progressed, her performance just got worse. I will not buy any other books with Robyn Isaacs as the narrator. Trapunzel was such a satisfying end to the Faded Fairytales series. I really enjoyed watching the Logan brothers fall in love. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an update book on these couples.

O.K. I must say...I absolutely love those Logan Brothers....Nicole was a mess! She had a lot of issues...but we kind of see why during the course of the story....Chase was trying to show Nicole that he was really a good guy and she had to learn that on her own based on his actions rather than him telling her. Nicole soon found out.....I hate that Gran Ida passed away...that was sad and it was unnecessary....it seemed to me the Logan brothers shared a common theme with the women in their lives and it was the loss of their parents....that was a common theme in all three stories....One of the things I noticed was the author made a few noticeable mistakes, first in book 2 Tiller & Cam were 7 months pregnant during Thanksgiving & Gran's 90th Birthday Celebration (which meant roughly a January delivery) and Chris found out Amber was pregnant that same day with an expectant delivery in March (which meant she was roughly 5 months pregnant)....I'm wondering how Amber & Chris end up having baby AJ on Valentine's Day and Tiller was still pregnant in book 3 passed Valentine's day)...Yes, Author some of us really do pay attention. The way this story ends, it appears the author may offer us an update on these couples. The narration was decent in this story.

Loved, loved, loooved it! This was such a satisfying end to the series. I actually liked Chase and Nicole they worked so well and I loved the cute non-traditional HEA at the end because it was so them. I hope this author does more of these with another set of men and women and turns them into other faded fairytales. Great read and you have a forever fan now.

Trapunzel Trapunzel let down your hair. This book was everything I thought it would be and was a great wrap up the series. Nicole was a liberated hoe (respectfully) and didn’t take no shit. Chance was a good guy at heart but didn’t know what to do with it. In this dance between the two characters you will fall in love with them just like you did with the rest of the family. This urban fairy tale was def with the wait.

And another one!

The Queenpen has done it again! The only thing that was missing for me was a visual of Nicole. I could not wrap my brain around her image. Anywho...great storyline. Awesome character development and phenomenal trilogy!

Great Read!!

After falling in love with the characters from Thickarella it was great to have an update on everyone but this was more personal because Nic and chase needed their own book after the moment I thought they had at the ball. Real page turner it had everything I was looking for. Mrs. Glover did her thang once again!

Very nice

I really enjoyed this book. I like that it had a different feel than the other two. Nicole was a tough one but I really liked her. Chase was love struck and couldn't see anything past Nicole. I would highly recommend this book.

Ms. Glover is slowly turning me into a fairytale type of girl especially if they read as her stories do. This one was rough for me mostly because I didn't know if I was rooting for Nicole and Chase or hoping they finally walked away from each other. This book was a true rollercoaster ride and I was up and down the whole book. There were moments where I was all for Nicole just walking away because she could do better than Chase would say or do something and I would be like awe wait he's a good guy. All in all, I have to admit this book was just as good as its predecessors and I loved it. Now though I'm a little sad that the series is over I actually hope that Ms. Glover continues this series there are many fairytales that could use an update.

This book closed out the Faded Fairytales series that sprung from genius writer, Tanzania Glover's mind. Just like in the two books before it, Trapunzel put a twist on the Rapunzel fairytale that is very specific to Black women being loved out loud and on purpose. That's what I came for and its the reason I will keep returning to her books. Trapunzel gives you enemies to lovers, a girl's passioned search for her biological parents, and a glimpse at what it looks like when a MAN falls in love and is honest with himself about it. This is a read you won't regret!

She’s more than freaknic

I really enjoyed this read! 3 for 3! The series is more than fairytales.

Nicole was more than 50 inches of hair on a 5 ft frame. More than her body augmentation and even more than anime bae. She had layers and trauma and fears.
Chase was trying to get in where he fits in in his family but refused to just fit in when it came to his ambition and his business. He was a monogamist but had issues with his view of women and relationships.
What happens when chef bae and anime bae face a winter storm together? Can they heat it up or will they put it all on ice?
You have to read to find out! I recommend that you do. You will not be disappointed.

Misunderstood man? Bring it on! I would love the day when women proudly say out in the open they are FEMINIST and people don't call it "performative" or "seeking attention" because you saying that is another type of internalised misogyny. I love Nicole. Way better than Tillar. I mean there's no competition. Cameron Logan was too good to be true HONESTLY and Tillar could have been more nuanced after I read Amber and Chris and Nicole and Chase. I mean Chase 's story got tears in my eyes. I am so glad I picked up these for Romance reads. SO SO SO glad. I can't wait for the fourth.

Book 3

I really enjoyed the series and watching the Logan brothers fall in love. Chase was that brother I side eyed for his issues with his brothers. Even so, getting to know his specific issues was interesting. Nicole had some issues to work through herself but what I love about her most is that she knew how to protect her emotions above all else.

My favorite

Friend you did it. I'm so proud of you. This series was such a fun ride to go on and I'm not ready for it to be over and you know I loved all the manga and Oda references in this one. I can't believe you do listen to me when I talk.

My only complaint is that I wanted it to be longer. Chase and Nicole gave us every emotion as they went on this journey together and this was a good way to end the fairytales.

I enjoyed reading this. It felt similar to Faded Fairytale #2, Sleeping Cutie” in a way. The female main characters in both were hardcore feminists. They were very closed off and uninterested in the idea of love and relationships. In addition, both male main characters in both were the ultimate definition of “f-boys,” and had a lot of growing up and maturing to do. I honestly loved Nicole’s character. Unapologetic and true to herself in every aspect. I’ve read all of the Faded Fairytales so far and have enjoyed reading about each Logan brother, as well as the rest of the characters in their inner circles. I hope this author makes another one as I’m curious to read about how the Logan brothers have developed. I would like to see a story told from just their perspectives alone.

I finished Trapunzel this morning and am already missing the Faded Fairytales characters. Chase and Nicole were definitely my favorite couple of the series. Chris felt the most real of the Logan brothers; where Cameron feels almost too good to be true (which I hope for myself he isn't), and Chris was AWFUL at first, Chase felt the most familiar. Not perfect, but figuring it out. And even though he had been stringing Parker along while pining away after Nicole for over a year he really wasn't awful aside from not being honest with his partner about his feelings.
Surprisingly, I think I liked Nicole more than I liked Amber. She's smart, well accomplished and ain't nothing like a what? A bxtch with a gun! Nicole is an all around bad ass; talented, knows how to play the game with these men, and had an entire manga character made in her likeness. My favorite thing about Nicole was her friendship with Tillar, and how they looked out for each other. But back to her and Chase as a couple; I really wish we could have seen this romance unfold in real time. I wanted more of the conversation when Chase asked her to be with him, would have loved to read his inner dialogue when he was spending money to play video games with her, and even some of the thoughts he had while watching her Youtube videos. I especially would have loved to see more of him helping out with finding her birth parents.
This one ended so abruptly, and I really wish I could have seen more of them together. Hopefully we get the fourth book soon!

Trapunzel, Trapunzel, let down you walls !

Nicole is deff Kevin Samuels if he was a woman 😒 She's convinced men are no good dirty scoundrels & that they are only good for one thing & one thing only. She has no problem owning the fact the she sleeps around, because that's all she wants from these niggas anyway. She's familiar with the middle Logan brother because he rocked her world 2x in one night. But Chase was trying to become apart of her world & Nicole had to let him no that was a hell mf no.

Chase is convinced that Nicole is the one, but she ain't here for all of that. She just needs a little help on a cold NY night & Gram all but sacrificed Chase for it. He doesn't mind helping Nicole, but the last time they were together, he damn near laid everything out on the table with her & Nicole set the table on fire. But he's not giving up that easily.

This book was too short for me which made me sad lol. I wish it had a lil bit more detail & at-least an epilogue because I just wanted a tiny peak of their HEA. I loved how the author gave us both their POVs. Especially because in the first book it was just Tillar & in the second book, just Chris. It was nice to hear from both of them. I hated what happened to Ms. Ida 💔 but ultimately I saw it coming. Thats another reason I wish the book was longer because Chase said some horrible things to Nicole & he needed longer than 6 pages to think about it & come up with a REAL apology.

I wish I could read Charming, but I don't think its availiable anymore.

Where's the rest? Lol

I liked this story but I wanted more. I think way too much was put into the first book, which was unnecessarily long, that should be in this book. I don't think the author should worry so much about writing novellas, I love long books. I'm not a fan of them. I say write stories that leave people satisfied, but be mindful of unnecessary detail or making a book long but nothing's really being added to the story. I'd like more of a conclusion on this couple, so while I liked the story I was unsatisfied with the ending. I also think the author should be careful of including real organizations, like the Ques, in the books in disparaging ways. They could possibly sue for the unauthorized use of their brand in this book in a negative way. Also, I don't think we as Black people should paint reputable orgs like that in a negative light, even in fiction. I think the author should have made up a Greek org. I hope there is fourth book to catch us up with everyone.

Nicole swears that all men are horrible without realizing that chase has been wanting her from day one, I’m blaming her dad for that one. I’m a good 40% in and I want answers as to why her parents put her up for adoption at this point to. Hopefully this road tip with chase will have her see that all men ain’t bad. The fact the chase has really fallen for Nicole is amazing I love it FRFR!! Yoo she just messed up his dad car and he done lost his shit but I def understand cause girl why you wasn’t paying attention and the fact that she keep calling it a “Car” but that’s his dad car and knowing that his dad passed I understand why he was mad. Y’all not gram dyin and chase being so hurt to the point he lashin out at Nicole like it’s her fault smh. I knew chase liked her he was the reason she found her birth parents I see you chase this is a solid 4.5 stars cause ummm why gram have to die?

The first in this series is a very strong book. This one just didn't quite come together for me. Nicci sees all men as potential abusers so she uses them and drops them. She's not a cowering flower. Her defense is offense. She had sex with her best friend's husband's brother in a previous book and he's back in her life temporarily by necessity.

Of course chaos ensues. This would be a good thing to read when you don't really need to pay attention to what you're reading.

seeing way too many nice reviews on this book so I wanted to add my opinion this book is literal trash I don’t recommend it to anyone if you are thinking about reading the series…don’t. The author failed to make these characters likable in anyway the main character feels to be very shallow and didn’t really have much opinion on anything and then the main side character was an incel….yeah. I think they were supposed to be in somewhere in this plot redemption but was probably hidden in between all of trashy dialogue that the author did add. You know how some books read as if they haven’t been edited…this is one of those. I don’t have the energy and I lack the caring to review the other novels so I’m just going to review this one and warn you not to read this series at all.

Fairytales Do Come True

Trapunzel: Faded Fairytales Book 3 was interestingly weird at times but I enjoyed the book. Sometimes though, the book took liberties I hadn’t anticipated. (did I snooze ⁉️) …Chase was attracted to Nicole or was she just another conquest? Honestly, I don’t remember him mentioning being “obsessed” with her either as he intimated in book 3. …Leaving a fraternity won’t rectify fellow members raping Nicole. There’s no statue of limitations on reporting nor exposing the predators of the crime. More so, Nicole never mentioned a trust fund contingency. Nevertheless, I did like the banter between Chase & Nicole, but marriage…hmmm, I guess fairytales do come true🤷🏾‍♀️‼️

This is the third book of this series I have read, and I think it’s my favourite.

Although Nicole is a bit of a bitch, she’s clearly in so much pain and just so broken and to scared to “let her hair down”, and for that I just love her.

Chase is my favourite out of the Logan brothers, he seems the most realistic and I honestly do like him.

I love have the book was written as the first instalment was from the woman’s perspective, the second from the mans, and this one alternates per chapter from man to woman.

Again it’s another cliche story, but I still enjoyed it.
