Not all things lost in the Bermuda Triangle are lost forever.

A science expedition sends out a frantic distress call.
It suddenly ends with a chilling apology.
What have we done?

International bestselling author, Bobby Akart, one of America's favorite storytellers, has delivered up-all-night thrillers to readers in 245 countries and territories worldwide.

"... if you like Sigma Force, Mitch Rapp or Scot Horvath, you will love Gunner Fox!"

Buried in the darkest depths of the Bermuda Triangle lies one of the greatest drowned secrets of World War Two - a sunken German U-boat carrying a deadly payload that would've changed the course of the war.

A team of research scientists stumble upon the sub while mapping the deepest part of the Bermuda Triangle along the Puerto Rico trench. Their divers disturb the wreckage and never make it back to the surface.

"Gunner Fox is one badass hero."

His newest Gunner Fox trilogy follows the Gray Fox team as they investigate the mysterious wreckage and the deaths resulting from it. What they discover is someone else got there before them. With the sub's payload missing, intelligence picks up chatter that America will face off with an enemy thought to be extinguished nearly a century ago.

Day by day.
Minute by minute.
Ride or die.
We stick together.

I am a Gunner Fox groupie and proud of it! There! I said it…whew! Yes, I am a fan of Gunner Fox so when I heard there was going to be another Gunner series, I let out a fangirl squeal and did my “Carlton” happy dance! I could not wait for the release and when Mr. Akart announced that it would be released early? Well, I just about swooned! You see, I first met Gunner (Yep! We are on a first name basis.) in the Asteroid series and that’s where I fell in love with him. Now, you don’t have to read that series before this one but I do recommend it so you get to know the characters, their backgrounds and just what makes them who they are and why they do what they do and because it is one helluva a great series!
Now, in Odessa Reborn, there is a lot of mixing present day and the past that brings the story together in an absolutely brilliant way and in true Bobby Akart fashion. Picture it…Germany…1944…sorry for the Golden Girls digression there…lol! With the background history adding so much to this story, you can’t help but understand more of what was happening during the time when the allies were taking down the Third Reich. What occurred then could possibly be what happened in this story, and if so, we are all in trouble! That is where Gunner and the newly re-formed Gray Fox team come in! Yep! Not only is Gunner(*sigh*) back but so are Cam, Bear, Gregory Smith (Ghost), Jackal and last but not least…Howard, Gunner’s faithful companion. With a team like this, the bad guys don’t stand a chance!
This is a fast-paced story and takes us to places I have only visited in movies and books. With Bobby Akart’s meticulous sense of detail, you will feel that you are traveling with the team and experiencing everything they are (I hope you don’t get seasick!). I cannot recommend this book enough! It has everything you could want in a story. History, excitement, action, perilous situations. Turn your hair gray moments and so much more! Thank you, Bobby, for another exciting addition to your list of stories. I look forward to reading many…many more of them!

I started and stopped this book at the very beginning. It was like a history lesson for the first few chapters. Then it took off and I was hooked. It was a good book mixing Nazi history with present day terrorism. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 was because the ending stopped in a place where I felt it could have gone on for chapters. There is a second book, "Odessa Rising" which picks up where this book ended but I really didn't like the abrupt ending to this book. Otherwise it was a very good book.

Enjoyed it

I liked reading this new adventure that Gunner Fox, Cam, and Bear find themselves on. Mr. Apart tells a good story.

For 75 years Nazi terror sat at the bottom of the Bermuda Triangle. Now it lives again.

Gunner Fox and his team dive deep to the bottom of the Puerto Rico Trench to search the recently discovered wreck of a German U-boat. Accompanied by teammates Major Cameron “Cam” Mills and Lieutenant Barrett “Bear” King, Gunner is tasked with determining how the first team to explore the wreck all suddenly died and what was on the wreck that killed them. It's great to see Gunner and team at work again, soaking in the sun and the suds of the Caribbean. But the investigation is becoming dangerous quickly.

Now one of my favorite literary teams is together again in action in the depths of the ocean rather than the dark empty outer space. Gunner, Cam and Bear are the face of the Gray Fox Team, but there's a crew of researchers, investigators and technicians that take care of the action behind the scenes. As always, the characters and actors in the author's repertoire are fully fleshed and dressed in that remarkable way the author introduces his cast. You quickly embrace the characters and invite them into your menagerie of friends and faces we know and love, and slithering darkly are the low lifes that stain the pages with evil and foul intents. These too must take their counter points in the storyline to provide balance. And they do it well. Too well, at times.

The characters, the storyline and the geography combine to create the beginnings of another masterpiece. Enjoy the show! Sit back, get comfortable and prepare for a GREAT read.

Conspiracy starting with the Nazis

This story flips back to the forties when the Nazis were obsessed with extremely toxic substances such as sarin and other deadly nerve gases. Back to the present time, it appears some horrifically toxic substance is discovered in a WWII wrecked UBoat in the Caribbean near Cuba. All this seems quite possible, making the whole scenario chilling. Just a small amount of this poison in the air or in contact with a human can cause death almost immediately. Shades of the ricin poisonings a few years ago. I am having some difficulty with this novel, only because it is so plausible that such a substance could be out there in the hands of some insane people, and there appears to be many in our modern world, bent on nothing but destruction of most of humanity. I do want to finish this series, but will need breaks of much lighter material to handle it all. Warning: the excellent books will probably give you nightmares!

If you are looking for plenty of action, you sure came to the right place! Let's start with a nice little casino cruise from Galveston to Cozumel. Did you know that there are pirates in the Caribbean? Well, they take over the ship. The govt. can't do much because the ship is in Mexican waters. Gunner and his group to the rescue. Meanwhile, back in 1944, the Germans are losing big time. They hurry to get the officers and valuables out using U boats. One such U boat is carrying canisters with deadly contents. It makes it as far as the edge of the Bermuda triangle when it is mysteriously scuttled. There are a lot of 1944 stories throughout, to set this up. Back in present day (2030), a research vessel full of reporters and high tech equipment find the U boat and the cannisters. Next thing you know, there is no one to pilot the boat. So much for Gunner's day off.

This is designated as Gunner Fox #4, and while it is the 4th book for this cool character, it is not part of the previous asteroid disaster series. It is also an action thriller and not really post-apocalyptic. This first "Odessa" book does have the same characters that form this uber team of action heroes. The action is abundant and the overall writing and editing are good and flows well. Some of the flashbacks to Nazi Germany were a little too often for my taste and some had vignettes that did not seem to really add to the story. I did enjoy this overall and look forward to the next in the series.

The final days of WWII are coming to an ending. The German leadership are looking to escape from the Allied forces and most importantly, the Russians. They have gathered their loved ones and their plunder. Art, money, gold. Some will travel to hidden locations in Europe. Others, Argentina. They hope to resurrect the Nazi regime. The children and grandchildren of the Nazi leadership. Their weapon of choice? A very deadly and poisonous chemical manufactured near the end of the war. Hitler refused to permit its use. The new Nazi leaders followers won't hesitate. Extremely fast paced thriller filled with historical facts. Enjoyed immensely!!

A show-stopper of a book! Gunner, Cam and Bear are back and deliver the almost impossible again. Bobby Akart has put together an amazing book weaving in WW2 Nazi history into a very compelling story involving a hurricane, cartels, deep water diving, and of course, a very lethal hazard to the world. For those who have read Bobby’s books, enjoy all the tidbits thrown in and be prepared for a big surprise!! Well done, Bobby Akart!

A little different

As always, a great story. Starts off a little slow but by the middle of the book it’s going 120 mph! Exciting, thrilling and keeps you up until all hours because it’s just too fun to be put down. Our heroes, Gunner, Cam, and Bear continue the fast pace of the first Gunner Fox books. If there hadn’t been a good explanation it would be unbelievable that they could have so many adventures!

Another great read from the famous Bobby Akart. The Gunner Fox series is a fantastic adventure which seems to have more twists and turns of excitement and laughter. Love to see he relocated an old friend from his past on his new island. Can't say I wasn't breathing heavy during the deep dive adventure. I am excited to see where this adventure goes with the introduction of a new exciting character at the end.

Keep up the great work Bobby.

You think the Germans lost WWII and that's it for the Third Reich, well guess again. Yes, those two facts are true but look out, here comes the making of the Fourth Reich. Can the Gray Fox team stop it or is the world going to be brought to their knees by this insane ideology? I love Akart's books and highly recommend them all. I'm looking forward to the next 2 books in this trilogy.

Very good read. I love the way Bobby Akart weaves historical facts into his stories in a way that is interesting. This book opens the door for the devastation that is unimaginable to most people and is horrifying to think of anyone willing to inflict anyone with their plans. However, evil does exist today as it did in Hitler's Germany.

Interesting

The storyline is intriguing and the Gray Fox team are interesting characters. But there appeared to be an abundance of space going over WWII and those unappealing evil nazi creatures.

So much excitement!

From 1944 Germany to present day Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. Whether it's pirates taking over a casino cruise ship or a sunken U-boat containing thousands of cannisters of something deadly, this book doesn't slow down from beginning to end!

Great story

I like how history and fiction are combined. The only problem, I would like to read the whole story, unbroken. Everyone writes series, now. In the old days, the whole story was in one book. 1000-1500 pages, no problem!

The Fox gang are back, but rather than in the air they're under the sea. The historical backdrop of the Nazis flight from Germany at the end of the war makes a fun setup for them chasing down an old chemical weapons program and sunken U-boat. Also had some cartel pirates, so good read.

The adventures of Gunner Fox and the Grey Fox team continue in Odessa Reborn. Gunner, Cam and Bear battle pirates that are supported by a Mexican cartel before dealing with the legacy left by the Nazis from the waning days of WWII. In a plot twist, a surprise visitor from another Bobby Akart series makes an appearance. Always well researched and historically accurate, these books are well worth your time to read. Warning: may cause sleepless nights.

This book is the 4th book in a series. It is very good going between the Nazi party in the past with modern day terrorists who aren't from the Middle East. I gave it a 4 because this is the 2nd book now that ended abruptly and needs the next book to come out (whenever that will be). I read through it in 2 days it was soo good. So really while I can't give it a 5 because of the ending, it is a high 4 stars..
