On top of managing daily duties and assisting patrons, incorporating an engaging makerspace for patrons and students (depending on the setting) can be overwhelming for librarians to juggle all of their responsibilities. Ives gives librarians a myriad of ideas on how to keep patrons/students engaged with makerspace activities of all ability levels and interests. Ranging from supplies gathered from household products, scrap paper, or recycled technology, projects can be put together using just about anything.
