I've been bruised by love before. But this time feels different. I may have to admit I need him before a sick attraction becomes fatal.

ALISE
I breathe it in. I live it. Music is my life.
Still, it is unreal that my career is skyrocketing.
When a fan attacks me, my friends insist that I hire a bodyguard.
I reluctantly hire one just to shut them up.

BRUISER
I’m captivated by my client. Completely taken.
Her music. Her beauty. Her personality. All of it pulls me in, night after night.
She doesn’t think she needs me, but I have to protect her.
I’ll show her that she needs me in more ways than one.

VAN
I’m broken living in a world where there is no Raven.
Like an unanswered prayer, one sleepless night leads me to her.
She thinks she’s someone else, so I might have to abduct her to get her back.

The singer. The bodyguard. An obsession. All attractions are not created equal. Find out what happens in Book 3 of the Dangerous Bonds series when a man obsessed with a singer leads him to abduction or worse.

A Dangerous Way To Love

Alise is kidnapped at the hands of her psychotic stalker at Jeb and Tameka's wedding. Will her abduction led to her finally admitting her love for Bruiser?
A read that kept me wanting more of their story. I can't wait to see how Xander and Jayne are wrangled in the story.
I always love this author's work. This series is one of my favorites. I can't wait to read more.🔥🔥🔥

This book has so many creative and intriguing twists. I especially liked how no matter the obstacle, REAL Love, changes not only a persons mind, but heart as well.

This book will have you rethinking your own opinions of racism. Not only is their race against other races. But there’s also same-race racism.

A lot of people will never get past the hate, to see the end. I ask that you read this book with an open mind. I did and I TOTALLY ENJOYED READING THIS BOOK.

Awesome job. I’m looking forward to seeing Xander’s plight.

"A Dangerous Way To Love" by Shani Greene-Dowdell

My Rationalization:

I found this story enjoyable. The main characters Alise and Bruiser, were well developed, engaging, with lots of chemistry. We find Alise wanting to be so independent and Bruiser overcoming past issues with both finally seeing what they were looking seeking. I will say that that psycho Van added to the story where I kinda felt sorry for him. All in all, I felt like this was a good read, and by the end, you will have a smile on your face, and indeed, Alise and Bruiser had a love forever.

Loved it!

I loved how Bruiser and Alise both let down their fronts on how much they were attracted to each other. Especially when they realized that Van was stalking Alise and that he was a little off his rocker. Well, Alise was the last to found out how out of it he was on the day he kidnapped her.. When Alise was kidnapped both her and Bruiser realized how they really felt for each other and whether or not they would see each other again. Van had issues dealing with his wife's death and that Alise looked just like her which made him thing that Alise was his wife Raven reincarnated.

Real good story to go along with the series.

As with all series I recommend that the series be read in order, although not necessary but I do think series are meant to be read in order. I liked this book and I loved the characters and how they accepted that they were that attracted to each other. There are some sensitive topics in this book, and stuff that can make people uncomfortable, so while the book is enjoyable there are some stuff that are hard to get over and it's not meant for everybody so beware if you're sensitive.

😍😍😍😍😍😍Bruiser & His Songbird Alise

Aaaaaaaah!!!!! I 😍a Dangerous Way to Love📖, even more than 📚1 & 2🤗. Bruiser is a 💯 Take no prisoners Alpha, who does not play when it comes to protecting the love of his life, songstress Alise! I definitely felt a little sorry & empathy for Van, the stalker😔, and was so glad he did not get to hurt Alise. Bruiser & his lady love were 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥in this sweet, steamy IR Romance. This ✍knows how to write a romance that holds your attention from page 1 to the end🍷. Enjoy💃

Great

At first the book started off kind of slow. I almost did not finish it. I will say I'm glad I didn't stop reading it. I'm glad Bruiser overcame the color barrier from what happened in his past. Him and Alise both deserved each other. Recommended by Uniquewords LLC.

Alise is attacked and is in need of a bodyguard, but she doesn't want one. Till him, the atraction between them is hot, but unfortunately you will see in this story that racism is not died.

"I Promise You"....

Bruiser and Alise make for a sweet couple. It's a great circle of friends overcoming adversity, growing in maturity and finding love in the tradition of opposites attracting. The proverbial kook..Van was pathetic. Completely off his rocker. I felt so bad for Raven at the hands of a typical controlling abusive jerk. By the time she decided to escape her gilded cage it was too late. The author does a bit of reverse discrimination which snowballed & hurt Bruisers' family. Good job of showing how prejudging borne out of rascist stereotypes can form in anyone regardless of race. The story speeds & slows at odd intervals but just barge thru and watch the love blossom.

Color should never hinder true Love

Romance and suspense made this a very good read. Love Alisa and Bruiser's story. As stubborn as Alisa was, Bruiser was determined to protect her. Van was a crazy person, who's lost love took him over the edge. Racism is hard to deal with when you are on the receiving end, but I am glad all the guys in this group are willing to denounce their brotherhood association and racist views as they make loving these beautiful black women their priority and their hearts desire. Love is in the eyes of the beholder, in our hearts forever, not in the eyes of the color of our skin. Can't wait to read Xander and Jayne's love story.

Couldn't put it down!!!

Alise and Bruiser's story just goes to show that fame and fortune can not fill the void that love fills. Van found out the hard way and tried to fill the void that was lost with Alise, but Alise was not Raven and not his forevermore. Alise is and will forever be Bruiser's forevermore. Love this series! It seems more than fiction and so relatable especially since I'm a southern girl who knows that love can be challenging when it comes to race when people don't love win!

Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was e7ungrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength. The short story of eroticism of sensation. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

I have the whole series.

Loved, loved, loved these books. They are great IR novels and not fairytales. I like the slight edge of danger, the resistant outside forces and the internal struggles the characters go through. That makes a good story.

Ok read

I don’t know why but I didn’t love it. I guess it’s because I couldn’t believe in her success. The way the music business was described was realistic. The same thing for the kidnapping, given how rich and how many properties Van had, it felt unrealistic that they would find her so quickly. By the same token, Bruiser is supposed to have this big firm but we only hear about 3 employees and he ends up going alone to retrieve her. Unrealistic to me. As a result the book felt superficial. The whole they start sleeping with each other and within a month, they’re in love, pregnant and engaged was also too cliché for me

Bruiser and Alise... Dangerous it depends on who

Liked this story I had read about the other friends of his who found the women they loved and decided they need to love not for what you look like that black and white doesn't matter. The heart wants what the ❤️ heart wants. This series of stories of BWWM has been interesting with the family dynamics.

Love, lust, obsession and madness - all feature heavily in this rendition from Shani. The matter of Bruiser's stint with racists was dealt with in a positive way. They had their happy ending. I'm good with that.

A Dangerous Way to Love is the third book in the Dangerous Bonds series.

I really enjoyed this romantic suspense story. Alise and Bruiser are well-developed characters that are well developed and likable. The storyline is well written and interesting, with a stalker, kidnapping, danger, drama, suspense, and romance.

I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.

A Dangerous Way to love

I love Alise's Story even though she was almost detrimental to her self because she wanted to be Miss Independent. I happy that she found what she was looking for. This book was recommended by UniqueWord.
