I awakened my soulmate after a hundred years of imprisonment.
It was love at first sight with Blaine. I knew he was the one when I freed him and his dragon brothers. The way I crave his touch is unlike anything I’ve ever wanted. Blaine makes me whole. But he’s got enemies that are after my life now. I saved him once. Now, he wouldn’t let anyone lay a finger on me. I’m his to protect… and his to claim.

This book pulled me into a web of mystery, ancient ancestry and heat! I loved it, I look forward to the next book and hearing more from Blaines family history as the brothers start to get their lives back.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book had unrealistic dialogue and it just ruined it for me. It caused the whole book to feel even more unnatural and unrealistic. In addition, the relationship between the characters wasn't developed enough. 1.5 stars/

🔹️Blaine Storm is a Dragon Shifter who was cursed and just woke up looking knowing, but why? Is he still cursed or will he find what he’s looking for.
🔹️Gail has loved the caves above her father showed her in the town of Port Jameson. There is something about this cave that runs havoc of her but what? Going to college, getting her PhD, traveling she still comes back. Will she ever find out why?
☄️This author takes you into the world of the supernatural and hooks you making you think they really do exists. I can’t even fathom what Nathaniel #2 will be like.💕
I enjoyed this book, dragons Vs werewolfs. The story moved quickly. Fated mates always feel quickly but I would have liked a little more character development to help me connect, especially with Blaine.
I actually listened to the book on audible, I normally just do text to speech on my Kindle fire so having some emotions put into the story was good.
Absolutely Awesome Read, well written, great characters, Awesome story line, easy read to hold you on their journey, this genre might not be for everyone but its a really wonderful story cannot wait for more from this Author.

A steamy love story between a dragon shifter and a lovely young woman. Who would have thought you could find your live mate by cutting your hand in a cave? Interesting characters and plot. I can’t wait to read the next book.
So I have listened to plenty of Sarah J. Stone books. There is just something about her writing that I enjoy. Se is great at writing paranormal stories. They might be short but there is a lot of information in there. This story is no different.
Gail loves adventure thanks to her parents and loves learning archaeology. She is able to go to school and come back to her hometown in order to put her degree to good use in the caves that she loves. She does not realize that they cares she loves is going to be where she finds the love of her life. Blaine has been locked up in a cave for a long. Him and his brothers never thought they would be free until one adventours woman changes everything.
I loved the connection between the two. Since this is a short story you would imagine that everything would move fast but it did not. I loved the fact that it built slowlyish. Yes, they fell in love but they did not declare their love within the first day which tends to happen.
There is a major backstory that I am really excited to explore. We find out a couple of things in this story that makes you want to continue the series. I am excited to see how Nathanial reacts in his own story. He lost the love if his life and I am excited to see how he reacts to Sarah.
Spoiler alert!! I seem to in the minority on this one, but I did not like this book. The writing was not great, the characters were very flat and not very interesting, and what was the point of giving the dragons elemental magic if it was only going to be used to make it rain during sex? The author didn’t do a great job world building or delving deeper into this story. I felt like so much needed explaining but never was. Like how exactly are wolves any kind of threat to a dragon? I get the whole magic thing, but they admit that wolves had no magic but had to get outside help. So why are they still a threat to the dragon? Couldn’t a dragon eat them or step on them or something?? I just don’t get it.

Gail had grown up fascinated by the drawings on a nearby cave's walls giving her life direction. When she was small Gail had been taken to a nearby cave by her father and shown the beautiful drawings on its walls she had felt a connection to it. Her fascination for the cave had led her to go the college and study anthropology. Now armed with her PhD she has managed to get a grant to study them meaning weather permitting she spends her days in the cave studying and recording the drawings then in the evening tends bar at the one owned by her father's friend who had become almost a surrogate father to her since his death. While looking at a newly uncovered area she leans close and cuts her hand on a rock so treating it as well as she could with what she has in her backpack then heads home to sort it out before her shift at the bar unaware that a man has followed her out of the cave and is watching her go. Blaine awakens knowing that the curse on he and his brother has been broken by the blood of one of their mate and scenting the air realizes she is his.

Patience! It pays to be in the right place, at the right time. Growing up, Gail was always drawn to the same set of caves above Port Jameson. She was fascinated by the drawings depicting wolves, dragons and other creatures. They inspired her to study anthropology. One day, funded by a grant, she was exploring her caves and she scraped her hand on a rock in the floor, drawing blood. As she was leaving, on her way to her car, she felt like a jolt of electricity but discovered nothing when she turned around. What she had inadvertently done was break the curse on the dragon brother imprisoned in the cave. The werewolves had used their magic to curse the brothers. When Blaine awoke, he smelt the blood of his mate. He found her and got to know her. Most of the bar was in love with her especially Sam's son, Jason. He took his affections a little too far! Can Blaine protect Gail from Sam? What happens when the wolves realize the dragons are awake? Can Blaine protect Gail from the wolves? Good story. Nice beginning to a series. Exciting courtship. Will Blaine convince Gail, she's his mate? I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
A wonderful romance, and i totally loved this . A book that i thoroughly recommend to all who love dragon shifter books to read.
Gail had always loved this one set of caves ever since she was litle. They drew her to them, she was fasinated by the drawings on the wall of wolves, dragons and other such animals. This was home... in the town of Port Jameson, till one day in the cave she hurt her hand on a stone, drew blood. As she was going back to her car she thought she felt something, turning around looking back at the caves she saw nothing and went on home. But what she didnt know was she broke a curse, freeing dragons, brothers who had been trapped in the cave for a long while and one of those dragons.... was her mate. Blaine, awakened knew instantly the smell of his mate, once he got a house and his brothers settled he went to find her. His mate was lovely and her name was Gail, she worked in a pub. She has a male admirer but not for long she is his. But then he finds out the wolves are still around. He will do anything to protect his mate.
This is the first book in a new series about dragon brothers and the mates that they will find. This first book is Blaine and Gail's story
Gail has always loved the caves above Port Jameson in fact her love of them as a child led to her career as a anthropologist. Now she has received grant money and she is hoping that will allow her to work on the caves and the art on the walls. While studying them she accidentally scrapes her hand on the wall causing herself to bleed shortly after she leaves to head home What she doesn't know is that her blood has released Dragon brothers trapped in the caves by a curse from werewolves. Whee Blaine awakens he immediately smells the blood of his mate he follows her to the pub where she works as a bartender where he discovers one of her clients wants to get a little too close so he will have to drive him away meanwhile the werewolves are also circling will he be able to keep her safe from all that mean her harm and will he be able to prove his love, you will have to read to see
Gail has loved going to the caves since her father first took her there when she was a little girl. She spilt her blood there which broke a curse which had Blaine and his brothers imprisoned for over two hundred years. The blood of one of their mates would break the chains that kept them prisoners. Blaine recognises that Gail is his mate and he goes to claim her. The wolves ancestors are still in the town and they kidnapped Gail to use as bait to lure the dragons to their home so they can imprison them again. The daughter of the wolves Mary, lured the wolves away before the fight began. She is now hiding in the dragons home.
This book left things in a way where I have to keep reading the series. I am a fan already. I can’t wait to read the rest of the stories about the brothers and freeing the other dragons Mary tells them are also in prison. I want then now!

Reading the blurb I thought this was a book I would enjoy. Dragon shifters that control the elements, awakened from an imprisoned sleep. What was not to enjoy. Unfortunately it didn’t deliver. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t find it that enjoyable either. I found the characters stilted and lacking a warmth of connection. Though this was a fairly short story, at times I found it slow, had silly errors and jumped without explanation of facts. The whole thing with the delusional werewolves and how trusting Gail was just felt silly. She was so naive, believing that Todd was her friend even after he kidnapped her. Just annoyed me with how simplistic everything was made out to be. I think this is meant to get you to read the next brothers book to be given the answers. Read through KU but not sure if I want to read anymore.
Great start to a new dragon shifter series about a group of dragons who were cursed into stasis by werewolves. It required the blood of one of their mates to free them.
Gail has always felt a connection to a series of caves near her hometown. The unusual drawings contained within were the reason she got her Ph.D. in Archeology. She has returned home to continue her research into the caves. When she cuts herself on a sharp rock she does not realize she has changed her future, or maybe just finally found her home.
Blaine is awakened after 200 years. The smell of his mate is in the air of the cave where he and brothers have been imprisoned. Can he figure out how to win his human mate and keep her safe?
I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
When Gail cut her hand she triggered the release of centuries old curse and released the dragons. Blaine knows she is his fated mate and sets out to win her affections.
When an old enemy uses Gail to once again trap Villain and his brothers off seems all hope is lost.
Great book. Wonderful plot. Love the characters. BUT WYD Gail? Your childhood friend doesn't want to hurt YOU, but he clearly and explicitly says he wants to kill your fated mate. And you don't care? Noone needs love that fickle. I'm sorry, but if you scheme to use me to lure my man into a trap and kill him, no amount of friendly history will save you from me.
I received an ARC edition of this book from the author.
I think this is an interesting setup for a new story. There is a decent amount of world-building with the dragons and the wolves to help setup how the series will progress. The romance in this story relies very heavily on the fated-mate trope, but I thought it worked well with the characters. I liked that Gail had such a connection to the caves for so many years, it helped build the connection between her and Blaine. It was interesting to see Blaine's brothers and I'll be interested to see each of them find their mates in the future. Already other factors about the spell that sealed them away is coming to light, so hopefully we'll see more of that magic in future books.
This is the first of a series of stories about dragons and their mates. Gail is an expert in cave drawings because they have fascinated her from childhood, especially those in the caves near her home. When she is injured while in the caves she unlocks a spell and awakens a dragon, who is her fated mate. Blaine wakes his brothers and regains their prior home before he sets off to claim his mate. Together they must find the reason for the dragon's confinement and find ways to protect the dragon's secret while neutralizing the threat to their freedom. Blaine and Gail are fully developed and the secondary characters give glimpses into their individual traits as well. The plot is innovative and the action is fast-paced.
Great start to a new dragon shifter series. The author brings an interesting and entertaining romance between Gail and Blaine. Their story begins when she inadvertently awakens the dragon brothers from their enforced sleep by the wolves hundreds of years ago. She brings a bit of mystery and intrigue as well as drama and danger as she introduces the supporting characters and plants the seeds for future stories. It's well written , moves quickly and smoothly and I loved reading and am looking forward to the next book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
First, you really can not go wrong with dragons. Come on, they're DRAGONS! Anyway, a dragon knows the scent of his mate. And they mate once, for life. Gail and Blaine are amazing together. This was such a great start to a new series. I appreciate the fact that the characters accepted their bond quickly, no need for that angst. This is a PNR after all. The story flows well and the set up for future books was nailed. Gail is a strong female and Blaine rocked his Alpha roll. I am looking forward to every one of the next books. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review of an advanced copy I received.
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Blaine by Sarah J. Stone is the opening salvo in her hot new series Dragon Elements. This fast paced quick read is packed with action, sizzling character chemistry and hot, sexy dragons. I really loved the way this story opened. This is the second series by Sarah J. Stone that I have recently begun reading (The other is Brotherhood of Dragons) and I really enjoy her writing. There's a propensity towards snark and humor, her characters are well developed and the storylines are really addictive. I highly recommend her books for a quick and fun diversion.
This honest and voluntary review was made possible by reading a copy through Booksprout.
Saraha J Stone has done it again. Blanie from her Dragon Elements series took us to a whole new world and into places we have not really completely traveled too and she did it with her amazing ability of storytelling that we have all come to love and wait for as each new story comes out and to life within our minds. The words seem to jump off the page and you and you feel like you're in the story also going through the drama, action, the twists and turns and the romance. I can't wait until the next book in this series.

I really enjoyed the book. The werewolf are the bad guys. Why can we get along, werewolf? You do you have hate the dragon? Werewolves vs dragons. That is so unique. I love the characters interaction with each other. I love the ending. The only thing I didn't like was that there was not much of why werewolves hated the dragons. I can't wait to the next book. I would to read it if you love romance and paranormal/dragon. If you like werewolves then this book is not for you., the werewolves in this book are dickis.

Gail loved the caves that her father took her to when she was a young girl she loved them so much that when she was older Gail became an anthropologist she was happy she got the funding for the site to study the caves. When Gail was leaving the site she tripped and scraped her hand on a rock leaving her blood on it. Blaine and his brothers are dragon shifters they were cursed by the werewolves but now he is awake and smells his mate, he finds her working at a bar but there is another man who is interested in Gail and no one but Blaine can touch his mate. Fantastic story and I can’t wait to read the other brothers stories and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
While I enjoyed the story and would happily follow the storyline for all of the dragon brothers, I’ll unlikely do it. Characters are extremely one dimensional and the dialogue is stilted. In part, that’s due to the absence of normal conversational tone, using “you are” rather than “you’re,” for example. Certainly, someone who makes an effort to write a story deserves credit for their work. That’s only one part of the equation, however. The other half of the equation is writing something that the readers will wholly enjoy. That’s hard to do without good editing and an objective eye.
Gail meets a mysterious stranger and is immediately attracted to him. She accepts the explanation of being his mate and of him being a dragon. But life is never easy. She has two more men vying for her and they do not take her choice without a fight and a situation similar to one 200 years earlier ensues. A story of fated mates, of blaming others for one's situation and bad decisions. Enjoyable and entertaining. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Gail has always felt an affinity to the caves she grew up going to with her Dad and then on her own, she just didn't know why until a simple cut to her hand brings her destiny to the surface. Yes it is insta love/lust and things move quickish but you know what if I had hot guy like Blaine showing me attention and he actually knew to hold back a bit and not try and shag her straight away. The past also doesn't stay in the past and tensions and mistrust rear their head and has you wondering how bad will things get as the series goes on!
Freedom This story was kind of fast paced in the writing. The characters were intense from the first meeting and the story rapidly evolves.
Think about being imprisoned for 100 years and not knowing what or who could free you from this prison.
Gail has always been drawn to the caves that her grandfather shown her as a child and nothing has changed since she became an adult. In fact she received her PHD in anthropology because of her fascination with the past.
Seriously, this might have been the best love story in the entire collection.
Blaine is labeled as shifter romance but there is very little romance and a great deal of lust. The idea behind the story is interesting but the world is pretty much ignored and the conversations are stilted. I do plan to read the next book in this series because of the mystery presented in this book which is the first in the series Dragon Elements. I just have to discover what happened to the Fire Dragons.
Read via Kindle Unlimited -I actually got the box set with each of the books but I am reviewing them separately.
