With today's technology, it's so easy for children to endanger their lives and not even know it, but Cami Meyers does. As a detective for the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, or ICAC, Detective Meyers fights every day to keep them safe. When a young girl from Utah is kidnapped, Cami discovers there is more to this world than she thought. Werewolves and vampires, the creatures of horror movies, really do exist. When she is involved in a horrific auto accident, a decision is made to save Cami's life, one bite that will change her forever. Torn between what's left of her human life and the new family of werewolves she's been thrown into, Cami weighs her loyalties and decisions are made that surprise even her.

FBI Agent Russell Larkin is responsible for taking care of his entire family, a pack of werewolves living in the mountains of Colorado. If that wasn't enough, Russell is the lead investigator for the kidnapping of eleven-year-old Crystal Dawn. When he meets stubborn, hardheaded Cami Meyers, a connection is formed, and he realizes everything is about to change. How can such a strong man fall for a woman he knows nothing about, a woman who wants nothing to do with him?

Couldn't put the book down. Read the whole book in about 2 days with a full time job, 3 small kids and everything that goes along with that. Loved the characters, the storyline and the intensity of the entire book. Part of the subject matter with young children and the internet is such a problem in our mostly electronic society that it was easy to relate to the situation, become enveloped in the plot and sense the urgency of the first couple chapters and by then all of the other situations surrounding the primary subject kept me reading with true anticipation, anxiety, fear and excitement. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves suspense with vampire
/werewolf theme. However there is definitely more to this book than just vampires & werewolves which is why its so GREAT. Buying extra copies for my nieces because I liked it so much... CANNOT WAIT for the next book to come out!!

I started reading this book without knowing anything about the theme of the story. It turned out it’s about vampires/werewolves, which one of the subjects that I don't find interesting. But still the author shows the quality who really understand the topic. The plot is nice, the characters are solid and the same as the conversations. In overall, I might not like the topic of the story but this book is really entertaining for those who love "Werewolves, vampires, and a cop thriller" kinda thing.

I do not read books about vampires and werewolves, but my daughter wanted me to read this book. I thought it was very well written, story line very interesting. The characters are so intertwined with each other. I did not want to put it down. Jennifer has a very bright future as an author and I hope the next book comes out very soon.

They live among us . . .

Crystal Dawn is a criminal detective story with the paranormal woven in quite creatively.

Cami's wonderful world has been turned upside down. She loses everything - family, friends and almost her life, until a werewolf decides to give her a second chance. I thought the premise of the book was quite intriguing and, in this reader's opinion, Goraczkowski's idea for the book creative. In this story we find that werewolves and vampires live among us and they co-exist quite well. But just like us humans, there are a few with criminal minds.

I did find some of the characterizations hard to believe, Cami seemed to take Russell's "bite" and subsequent life changing consequences without too much fuss. One would think she would have been less accepting, and more upset, especially since she didn't know they even existed. But this is a good story and should be shared with others.

This book was a quick read and kept my attention. I enjoyed the intensity of the plot. A lot happened quickly, but it was not too overwhelming. There was tragedy and tears, but there was also some lighter moments. I enjoy vampire/werewolf stories and this one had some good twists to the myths behind them. I liked the idea that vampires evolve as they get "older". I'm interested to see if future books go into more of the history/background of vampires and werewolves. I connected to the main character, Cami. I like that she's a little rough around the edges and not perfect. She handles things extremely well. If I were her I'd be a wreck. I am very interested to see how she evolves and grows now that she's a werewolf.

I definitely recommend this book. Good story and I'm looking forward to the sequels!

I was so stoked to get a pre-released copy of Crystal Dawn yesterday!

Yes, yesterday, and I have finished it already! Less than 24 hours later I am hooked, and eagerly anticipating the next books!

You know a great writer when you cry, recover, laugh, then cry again, then laugh again, and can't put the book down. What an adventure!

I felt drawn into the characters' world, and before I knew it I was living the story right alongside them. I fear I might be howling each full moon until we read more from this talented author!

More! More! We want more!

This book was recommended by my BF. I thouroughly enjoyed it and could not put it down....when I get engrossed in a book and can't wait to see what happens next that tends to happen and it did with this book. I really enjoyed the characters and hope this author has more in store for us about where these characters go from here. It is in my opinion a new take on the werewolf and vampire saga merging with some of todays issues (internet predators) that I have not read before. Great author I can't wait to read more by her.

Absolutely loved this book. I finished it in a day and a half because I couldn't put it down!! The main charachter Cami is easy to relate to. You immediately connect with her and begin to feel sympathy for all she is going through. You root for her along the way and cheer for her when she has her victories. I love the connection she creates with Larkin and am hoping a sequel will follow as I can't wait to read more!!

I enjoyed the way this story unfolded. The transition from crime thriller to paranormal was unique and interesting, and the author did a great job of blending the two. There is a twist that ties both parts of the story together that I wasn’t expecting. I think Crystal Dawn could be enjoyed by lovers of paranormal fantasy, crime thriller, mystery- it is a story that crossing all genres and displays the fun, entertaining parts of each one.

Werewolves, vampires, and a cop thriller. There’s so much to love about this book. At first I wondered how the author would connect the police investigation with the paranormal aspects. Soon though, I was so involved in the story that I didn’t worry about the details. For me that’s a sign of a good book. The story should shine through. I found as I neared the end I was reading faster and faster. Now that I’m done, I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Where to begin with this wonderful, exciting book? It immediately grabbed my attention where I couldn’t put it down – I had to know what happened next. Exciting with the lives of everyday people then they discover a much different world. Very well written and keeps your attention throughout the whole book. A must read. Cannot wait for more!

A new take on vampires and werewolves living among us. The internet predator story line will pull you right in and keep you reading. The characters are brought to life on the page so there is a love/hate relationship with Cami, but only love for Russell. I have read this book several times and can't wait for a sequel.

A great quick read! I enjoyed the story and will read the sequels for sure! The only part that bothered me was how fast she got over the loss of her family. But other then that I thought it was a fun read with some great twists and turns.

Received this book as a goodreads contest winner.
This was a gripping book. A little sparse on the romance side but good mystery. Kept me wanting to read it nonstop. Great set up for the next book possibly a series.
