This is not something I would normally pick up or seek to read but I’ve set a goal this year to read all the books this author has written that I have the original copies of sent straight from the publishers in the 70s. I got given these a good few years ago when he passed away and while he won’t be remembered by millions for his books, he will be remembered by me as a my great uncle who never forgot a birthday or Christmas, even when he was so far away and from whom I have kept almost every card I ever received.
And this book actually was quite enjoyable too! The world and character building was good and the plot kept me gripped even though it’s not my usual cup of tea. The writing was good quality too, and I could really envision the setting and action. All in all, a very decent and enjoyable book and I actually do look forward to reading the others that I have some time soon.
