Overall, I very much enjoyed this introduction to the FIAR's program. It is filled with great activities and lessons to help engage with your child. my 4/5 year old really enjoyed going through the books together over a school year and as a result as been excited to learn.

I am not sure if younger than 4 years old children would appreciate the ideas and concepts being presented, and I definitely added my own activities to help beef up some of the lessons. Regardless, I would still recommend it especially to anyone looking for a subtle start to homeschooling or looking for a concrete way to spend more 1-on-1 time with their kid.

My older children would never have been receptive to this style of learning, but my youngest (age 3) can sit and talk about what is in a book for quite a while. She notices things, she enjoys projects based around a concept like snow. Thus many of the ideas presented are perfect for her learning style. This book serves as a good guide, kind of an ideas manual for helping youngsters answer the thousands of questions in their inquisitive little minds. I'm a seasoned mother and I feel like I gained some insight in this book.
