I’m a Historical Fiction Author. My family hails from the Land of the Rising Sun, though, I am based in the UK, where I have lived for the past twenty years. I am an Economics graduate and have worked for over twenty years in finance and IT. I have lived in four countries – UK, Switzerland, Japan & Brazil. Am I blessed? Yes, I believe I am. Acquiring the knowledge of different cultures and customs made me a better person. I believe that ignorance is the root of bigotry and tradition is the living treasure of peoples’ history and heritage. Every country has a history that is compelling, every culture carries a unique heritage and they deserve to be respected.

History is my passion. My bookshelves (and kindle) are stuffed with historical books and historical fiction novels. I love travelling too. I travel around the world (workload permitting) and my destinations are usually chosen after I finish reading an absorbing historical (fiction or non fiction) book. I started writing when I was a child and continued through adulthood. After many trials and errors, I believe I made my narratives good enough to share them with other people. Yet reading and writing helped me to deal with problems at difficult times. One can call it escapism, but reading or writing words can never become a harmful addiction. I wrote “The Goddesses of Japan” in memory of my late father. When I was seven years old, he used to read the stories of the Creation and Ancient Japan to me at bed times and I got hooked to them. I hope my readers enjoy reading my books, as much as I enjoy writing them

The prologue needs tweaking for historical accuracy (e.g. the Dark Ages was way before the 1400s) as does the life of Francisco Pizarro (9 years after the Conquest and 8 after he entered Cusco, he was killed). However, the information about Orellana appears accurate. Moreover, I enjoyed the fast-paced story and appreciated its uniqueness. There are very few historical books about indigenous Amazon people. (Avoid the word 'indios' as many of them find it offensive.) The story flowed well and the Spaniards' dire situation was palpable. I liked the inclusion of images of artefacts and maps as well. It's not a book I will forget for a long time. The small sections on the Muisca were interesting- these could be expanded into another book (which I'd love to read)!

🍂Forbidden romance

🍂 Goddess Tradition

🍂 Marriage Ritual

When forbidden romance enters in a life of Amazon princess, will it lead to disaster or change everything? Will they suffer the consequences of their action? Or Will else will everyone do? It was an intriguing read.

Thanks to the author for providing the book.

I really enjoyed the whole part of the story concerning the Amazon, the descriptions and the pictures are great. The romance woven in was okay. If you read this book for the historical side of it, you will enjoy it immensely.

Amazing.

The mighty Amazon River is the subject of all the adventures of the conquistador Orellana. The Amazons tribe of mighty women becomes his obsession as he falls in love with its heiress, but the fate of Orellana and Iurupari becomes disastrous.

Continuing the goddess of the world series, this time the focus in on the mighty Amazon princess Iurupari. This story line had trials, love, and secrets. Can the love between Iurupari and Fransico succeed? To learn the fates you'll need to read the book. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Secrets of the Mighty Amazon (The Goddesses of the World) by Kazuko Nishimura is amazing. We all know a lot about the Amazon, but I learned so much more. Loved this book.

In 2024 I reread this surprising story to revisit the women of the Amazonia tribe after which the Amazon was named. Great read!

Ok

Not as good as the first story I read by her. Although reading about the Amazon is always fascinating. And the indigenous tribes and animals as well. Just so much of the Earth's diversity is right there.
