Journalist and peace activist. Born in Wales in 1911. To USA in 1926. Graduated from Hunter College in New York City. Worked for Catholic Relief Services for many years, helping war refugees and others in many countries. Met Mother Teresa of Calcutta in 1955 and became her biographer. Marched with Dr. Martin Luther King and worked with Dorothy Day and the Catholic Worker Movement. Died in New York City.
