Fourteen seemingly "ordinary" moments told in such poignant prose. Breathtaking. I came across this treasure browsing the local used book store and immediately carried it a couple blocks over to a coffee shop, ordered an endless pot of tea, and sat myself down. Finished in one sitting. The most amazing part of these stories is that they are incredibly real. Ordinary. Rather unexceptional, to be honest. But that is what makes them beautiful. Each tiny story allows the reader the opportunity to experience, if only for an instant, the life of another.
