Steve Hamilton receives a warning that 2011 would be his final year on earth. He's convinced that it's just a hoax, but as the notes get more threatening and personal, he finds that he must discover the reason for the threats if he has any chance of survival. Set in Edinburgh Scotland, Alive is Steve's personal story, told via his diary, telling of his daily struggles to discover the truth and try to survive.

He had also written the DI Joanne Christie crime series, based in and around Edinburgh, Scotland.
Ross has also published various short stories with Darkstroke Books in their charity anthologies and was included in the first edition of Tangled Web magazine which publishes stories within the Tartan Noir genre.
