Will Taj and Indie get everything that their hearts desire, or will the damage of all the sins committed be the end of the haze they found themselves in? Find out in the series finale of Indigo Haze: Thug Love is the Best Love.
I was on an emotional roller coaster the whole series bit that’s how I know I loved this series.
The character development of Taj was incredible to read and experience, how one young girl navigates trauma, self love, death, grief, love, and still turning out to be a matured young woman, still able to be a light was everything. Aubree DID THAT.
Taj and Indigo as a couple were so cute, top 5. Their experience was so relatable, even if you haven’t gone exactly what they did, anyone who has experienced an ounce of love of someone you shouldn’t, know the constant battle. Indigo is my guyyyy
I loveddddd the LA, gangsta rap, vibe it felt like I was in love in LA, that’s what I need out of a book!
After witnessing all that Taj and Indie endured throughout this series, I am convinced that Thug Love truly is the best love. When Indie’s past threatens his future, Taj is struggling to keep it together. The pain and passion bounces off of the pages. The author @bigpynnie did an amazing job with wrapping up this series. I can’t believe I flew through it as fast as I did.
This is one of those series where the characters stay with you long after the story has ended. I highly recommend this series.
Read all 4 books in less than 24 hours. I’m obsessed with this series. From the general background/prelude of the plot, to the the backgrounds and buildup of each character, I loved the entire ride. Also love how the pacing went, nothing felt rushed, and the time it took for the two main (??) characters to meet was beautiful. I surprisingly shed a few tears during this series, but I’m genuinely attached to these characters. 10/10
Aubreeeeeee! YOU. DELIVEREDT. The finale to the series was worth it. You pulled emotions from me with all four books.
I'm so glad that Taj started living her life and not just existing. Her light shined so bright that it was blinding. When her stars and worlds started to align there was nothing that she couldn't do. Indie gave her so much joy and life and in return she gave him the same and then some. The way they freed each other was refreshing. They pushed each other to grow and flourish.
Ricky and Ajai: I'm glad that Ricky grew th up because I wanted to rock him a few times. Ajai got her dream and I was happy for that.
I LOVE Joey! He kept Indie straight when everything was trying to fall apart. His energy is apart of what anchored Indie.
NOW Senior I can honestly say I'm proud of you. You grew up on me, old man lol
ALL in ALL I love the series! Thankies so much for giving us this.
Series too long, repetitiveness, grammatical errors. I would not recommend this series, it took me way too long to read it because I kept losing interest. There are some good scenes in the book so I sure the author’s writing style will mature in time.
Baby...that is how wrap up a story. I loved this series down and this book was soo good. So many parts I loved.
I will not give spoilers in case someone hadn't read it but I am a fan of AP's writing. The way that she writes these men who will burn the city down for their loved ones and are hard in the streets, but soft with that woman that is made for them.
Indigo Sims has a way of being the boss but he leads with wisdom and understanding. From the beginning of the series to the end..he has evolved and I am glad that we were able to see it. When he showed his vulnerability to his strength...I loved me some Indie.
Taj is my girl. She went through hell and back but the resilience that she possessed was so beautiful to witness. She went from a vibrant young lady to a timid broken girl and ended up being a strong a empowered woman. Her journey was beautiful to watch as well.
Joseph "Joey" Sims is my guy. I love me some Joey. Was he hardheaded? Oh yes, but him growing up and the relationship that he has with Indie was heartwarming to witness. Indie was his hero and you can tell with how he moved. I can't wait for his book because I know Joey gonna be hell.
Senior pissed me off too many times. He redeemed himself but that's all imma say.
Rickey pissed me off sometimes too, but he ended up being alright.
Ajai deserved all things. She was a rider for real and for everybody.
Maria deserved happiness as well.
This is for all 4 books and I loved all of them. This is definitely worth the read as with anything in her catalog.
This was a really nice series, instantly hooked as soon as my sis recommended it. I thought it was only two novels and learned that it was four, what a plus. A.P you out did yourself, all the characters were Amazing, even Malcolm was well written because I strongly disliked this guy.
So I’m going to need more, like seriously! I know it was touched on in the Epilogue but I need more in depth. What is Joey and McKenzie future looking like? How’s Senior and Maggie, will they marry? I need to know what the future holds for Maria and Tristen? How is Ricky, Ajai, and the new addition? Was it a boy or a Girl? Lastly, how are the twins, what did they have and how is Indie and Taj adapting to parenthood? I need answers 😫
I see that A.P is a music fan as I and I liked the snippets of verses from various artist. I also see how she gave tribute to Nipsey Hussle which I think was really cool. “On Hood!” 😜
✨ “The game is gonna test you, never fold. Stay ten toes down. It’s not on you, it’s in you and what’s in you, they cannot take away.”—Nipsey Hussle The Great
⚡️ “To the marathon” 🥂—Indigo Sims
It’s extremely rare that I want to throw caution to the wind and share spoilers because I think that is so selfish 😏. Well, today I want it to be all about my new best friends in #Book4 of this series 🙂.
Sigh...but I ain’t got it in me to do it, Aubreé Pynn deserves better than that 😁.
This was so goooooooood❣️ It has it ALL! I mean, I was so tickled 😂, so much so I didn’t see it coming and found myself laughing out loud, I was nervous 😬 & sad 😔 & surprised 😮, very VERY surprised with a lot of the events once they unfolded 😲😲🤭.
I experienced a gamut of emotions and...woooo chile 😞👏🏾🙋🏾♀️.
So yeah, I recommend this book and the ENTIRE series 🙂.
I absolutely loved this series. To experience the love, loyalty and brotherhood in these characters were amazing. Indie is definitely a man's man, he admits when he has messed up and does what he can to fix it. He tries to give everyone the opportunities he didn't get and has to create on his own. He is the legend. Now Taj just shines through this series. She had some heartbreaks that did not take away from her dreams. Her life outside of work wasn't always the best but she got through her sadness and became the queen she was destined to be. As she stood up for herself and not let anyone tell her just anything her light shined brighter. Loved the friendship of Ricky, Joey, Maria and Ajai. They all serves different purposes in each others lives but it doesn't take away they love. Definitely worth reading!!!
That’s how TF you do a series!!! Baby this journey was emotional but worth it. This was a beautiful love letter to the hood. Side note I’m jealous someone else thought that as well lol. The goal is to hustle until you make it and watching their dreams come true was amazing. Malcolm I’m so happy with your karma. I loved me some Indie and Taj but honeyyyyy I loved me some Joey. Ricky had to grow up and I swear Indie really loved him because he gave that man GRACE. Taj had that ancestral light and healing within her. Senior lost almost everything he loved but sometimes love makes you do crazy things. I think sometimes we forget our parents were once young and wild as well. Read the series. You will laugh, you will cry, you will scream, but you will also walk away with some life lessons. AP gave away free game on these pages.
This was def a perfect end to the series. After Ms. Author ma'am had been tearing my ass up with the emotional roller coaster that is this story. I can finally say that I understand the hype that surrounds it and it is very much deserved in the utmost. The way that Indigo and Taj love was captures really speaks to the soul. To have a love like this is def a one-of-a-kind adventure. I think that all of the people who weren't ain't shit people were taken care of nicely. It still fuck Senior but like I understand that that is her daddy.
I can't wait to see what Joey book has in story because it seems like the ninja can't get his act together and I wonder if it is going to include Mackenzie.
I waited to final book, because Indigo such a light in all the darkness that others experienced around him!!!…I love that he gave opportunities to others, even when they were not afforded to him!!!…His end goal was to give others an outlet, an opportunity to see themselves differently and to know there is something better, despite where you come from!!!… Taj had every right to be angry about not knowing Indigo was alive and for 4 years she mourned him!!!…She gave him an opportunity to explain, spk her feelings and understood that he wanted them all safe, because he didn’t know who was looking for him!!!… I truly enjoyed this series and was happy that everyone was able to make a better life for themselves!!!…
Aubree wrapped up this series so beautifully. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. All I can say is Book 4 wrapped everything up so that you had no questions except for maybe one lol. Relationships are definitely tricky and we tend to want better for those who look up to us or who are raised by us. The community in Crenshaw really redefined what a community is and can be with the help of Indigo. "What I love about you are the same things people have been saying all night. Your love is so big. Your heart is so big. And your energy is contagious. You stand for something and you lead the way.”
Wow, this series of books was a stunning collaboration. I was hooked from the first book until the last book. I would anxiously await and look before Amazon told me the next book was out.
The story plot and the characters made this seem like a real-life family growing up in the hood. I appreciate the time, effort, and dedication you put into getting your message across and out.
I'm going to miss the characters after 4 books but you did them justice. I will be looking forward to my next read from you.
I am simply amazed by this series! It was everything you could ask for in a hood love story. Emotional, thrilling, spiritual, down to earth and represented a loved unmatched! Indie and Taj were awe inspiring! Their rise; their fall, and their deep love and connection that eventually built them back up was just everything.
Thug Love is definitely the best kind of love when it came to Indigo Sims!
I was so invested the first book and a half. When I read that Indie died my heart broke for Taji. Can anything else go wrong for her. Then I remembered the book is called Indigo Haze so surely the main character isn’t dead already. Then keeping a secret for YEARS from Taji that he truly in fact was alive. BETRAYAL. How could they watch her grieve like that and not say anything. It should’ve been her choice. I like how it ended. And I’m glad that Indie was able to go legit and Rickey got his act together.

She made me write my first review!!! I read all 4 books in 3 days thanks to the time due to COVID-19. The characters were so real and relatable. I fell in love 💘 with all the characters, especially Indie. There were a few typos that were distracting but the stories sucked you in from beginning to end. Ms. Pynn, you did your thang!!!!!!!!
I've laughed, cried, fussed and cussed throughout this series. It was a joy to read. I had to calm my mind from expecting something bad to happen just when things were starting to look up, I'm really glad it ended the way it did. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work.
Leaving this review for books 2-4 (already reviewed 1). The ride had a lot of ups and downs not just for Taj and Indie but their circle as well. But the pay-off was worth it, to see where everyone landed, especially Indie and Taj but also Ricky, Ajai and Joey who you couldn’t help but also root for. Good job AP.
My God, this was a beautiful story! Beautifully written .. I could feel the love vibrations through the dang kindle! the character development connected me to each and every person! This is my first read from this author and I’m definitely a fan. The mf marathon continues!!!
Indigo and Taj finally got their happily ever after. They both continued to work hard to help the other move forward. Indigo was the go to for everyone and made sure everyone moved solid. Malcolm received his fate for playing with Indigo's heart. Senior had to be humbled, but it took Indigo to make him understand. Excellent ending to this series.
I hated for this series to endS it is perfection from beginning to end. I have so much love for Indie and Taj and what they represent in love, honor, forgiveness, and growth. Aubree really poured her heart and soul in this series and it’s felt on each and every page.
This series was so good!! It was a rollercoaster ride but so worth it. I laughed, I cried, and I was STRESSED!!! lol u know even books have your feelings all over place it’s good!! In true AP fashion the characters are fully developed. So good, I bike there an toaster at some love!!
This was a great finale to this series! I enjoyed watching how all the pieces are put back together. At the beginning I was questioning how this was going to end! I loved the closure that both of them got from there families and how what’s meant to be will be!
This was such a wild ride! I would definitely recommend this series!
I'm really happy that everyone got their happily ever after. As Indie moved along and bettered himself he didn't forget his friends family and the people in his community.
Loved all for of these books so much i want to start them all over again.Great series overall and the dedication to the little wording in between the chapters i love. Great meanings for the next one.
I really enjoyed this entire series I was glad everything worked out the way that it did for Indigo and Taj. I was happy to see the turn around with Joey and Ricky. I recommend this series.
Indigo is bae I enjoyed this series so much I'm sad it's ending I would like to know abt the twins and see where Joey n MacKenzie maria n Tristan Maggie and senior end up I hope their stories continue maybe a lil novella for the holidays to catch us up
