Murder? Threats? Court trials? Shocking revelations? Turning twenty is more about chaos than celebration as my final semester at Witchling Academy kicks off with a bang.
Semester Eight will be the most intense one yet; with the cheer squad competition, the football league championships, kendo master matches, and the spring festival art competition, we're going to be busy around the clock. And that doesn’t even include our ongoing battle against a mystery threat that’s determined to destroy everything — and everyone — I love.
After our exam is infiltrated by a well-known nemesis, it's finally clear who our enemies are in this battle against the darkness. I, Brianne Marie Harlow, am now in charge of the prime investigation to end the evil influence once and for all.
However, with Elisha’s trial looming and more secrets coming to light, I have to take a moment to decide what I really want out of this semester. Am I willing to live in constant fear? Or do I risk everything, including my life, attempting to take down an organization as big as the shadows?
Throw in the student council duty to keep everyone safe, and an unexpected round of Witchling Games, and this could all push more than one person over the edge.
Semester Eight is about conquering the fear in our hearts to achieve fulfillment. It's time for us to fight all the way to the graduation stage.
Avery Song's Witchling Academy: Semester 8 is the final book in her Spell Traveler Chronicles, but by no means the last time that we will see Bree, her men, and all the other characters that we have become familiar with in this series. Book 8 picks up where the last book left off with everything being in chaos and danger all around. The prologue gradually works up to the present day situation and then it's off to the races for everything. There is a lot going on in this book, and I'm pleased with how well things flow and the storyline really flows well. There is a lot of action and drama that kept me page-turning to find out what was going to happen next. I'm thankful that the author has Bree being less "naive" in this book. She's older now, she's experienced quite a bit with the guys and her two girl best friends, so I felt that her trying to continue the "naive" thread was a bit of a reach since the author made a point of Bree making mental notes to ask Mia and Miya about certain things, and the girls showing her various things as well on the internet and other things. There are quite a few steamy scenes throughout this book as well. They help add some spice to the story in just the right moments, and aren't overdone either. My only complaint about this book is the same as the last - I wanted more of the actual academy! Half of the book is just Bree with the guys, on vacation, getting attacked, steamy scenes, but not really much of the actual academy and what they had to go through in their classes until later on. Even that bit of the academy that we get it's just a taste and doesn't really reflect what it is that they had to endure inorder to make it to the end. Then there is a lot of word repetition. I honestly feel that "orb" is just used to the extreme with this entire series. In the beginning it was a nice change from "eye" but the way that it's so heavily used really takes away from the uniqueness at this point. Also, there are some places where honestly..."eye" would be better suited than "orb." Especially when "orb" is used five words before. I truly did enjoy this book and I'm excited for the new "spin-off" series that will be coming as these characters continue their journey through life and the dangers that still lie ahead for them. I am choosing to rate this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. If you have read the series to this point then I say this...why not finish it and find out what happens next? I'm sure you won't be too disappointed in how things play out.
Although I did enjoy this series, the author desired not to finish it. I very angry that I invested In all her books so she could get rich only for her to not fulfill the contracts.
Let me start by saying I love this series. The individual stories of the five girls, how they each grown meet and cross paths.... it's all really ingenious and well planned. The open-minded view and amazing magic makes this series a real treat.
All that being said. I was disappointed with this book. It has too little clear information and too much of lengthy monologue. I recognise that portraying the personal developments of each of the characters is a really amazing things....but those recognition could be less repetitive and the book would reduce by not just several pages but even a few chapters. The more important part of the experience; the several courses and battles, the events which led to these developments were glossed over like they weren't of much importance.
It's also disappointing how the book kind of seemed to end too easy, when in reality the win wasn't easy at all. The fact that Connor has to reverse time 50 times to get the final battle right is mentioned in just a few sentences and then completely glossed over like it never even happened. The very point of making mistakes is so that you get to learn from them. So what that point if you end up forgetting 49 fatal mistakes of your life? It would have been so much worth it if at least all their memories came back once they got the final win.
The victory of the tarot card while ingenious, again adds to the circumstantial and luck aspect of the final victory. The whole ordeal was so short that it ended up seeming like to easy way out. Also that was some serious magic they performed and there should have been some retribution. To put it straight, Brianne shouldn't have just stroller back in on her feet like a pro five minutes after being blown by a supernatural killer bomb. The harder the oath the sweeter the victory. Couldn't she have atleast stayed in darkness for s few days? As a after effect of using that amount of magic? Because honestly, even if they took 50 tries to win the battle, the final win was finda too non-messy to be satisfying.
Lastly, I'm a total sucker of this series, thus the disappointment and harsh review. Keep writing Avery Song! I can't wait for the next release 😘

Another great read delivered from Avery Song. Every time I read one of Avery Song’s book I can help but being drawn into the world she creates, she has a great writing style. The storyline is unique and compelling and makes the reader want more. Through all of the twists and turns the main characters have gone through to reach this point really drives home the characters incredible adventures: past, present and future. This book is a great read but more importantly it’s a interesting storyline that draws the reader into it. It made me feel like the world was my world; the main characters my friends and family. This storyline delivers it all action, intrigue, roller coaster revelations and great sexy moments that brings the story to life in full technicolor. This story has it all love, family, friends, sacrifice and adventure with a twist of mystery. There has been so much growth from all of the characters throughout the entire series, all of which you can see in this last installment of this series. I love the way Avery Song was able to answer some lingering questions from past books. All in all I loved this book, I can not wait to see what happens next in the larger universe that Witchling academy is a part of.
I've read this series before but was here before the two final books were written. As it's been a few years since I last read about Bri and her N4 I decided to re-read all 8 books now that they had been published. Its taken me 4 days and I admit, I have neglected my work to get them all read and I do not regret it!
This was an amazing series!! The overall growth of Bri and her Men has just been captivating over the previous few days I've been reading. I got to admit, there were some points that threw me and I just didn't see it coming.
The description of Finnick's art piece towards the end of book 8 was just so beautifully written that I had tears running down my face. Jax's reaction to Brianne's 'death' at the end of book 8 just showed how much he had overcome to be the man he is now. All the prejudice and fear. The individual growth each member had to go through to get to where they are at the end of book 8.
Do not fear. This wont be the last time we see our N5. I can't wait to read Witching Academy Elite and see all the new challenges our favorite group has waiting for them.

Holy moly what a read!!! Our Notorious crew are always up to incredible adventures and trials, but my goodness is this one filled to the brim and then some! This is indeed the final book of their Witchling Academy days, but never fear. After all, its been revealed the next part of this series is on its way 😉. Warning: try not to start reading this unless you have a decent chunk of time to dive in. Otherwise you'll be cursing if forced to put this read down too soon. It's filled with so much action, intrigue, steamy scenes, mindblowing revelations, and a few mysteries along the way. Not to mention a few cameos by familiar characters! To me the themes are love, sacrifice, and family.... Whether by blood or by choice, these ties are what can cause immense pain or lift you to new heights. The magic within these pages will touch your soul and have you cheering our characters on. I can't wait to see what's next in the next chapter for our favorite Notorious crew!!! More adventures are just around the corner.
This book starts with a bang and the action continues in a steady and unbelievable pace. As we get to see the emotional and physical growth of our team, the Notorious 5 , it doesn’t always come easily.
Lessons are sometimes learned with death and blood, but always with the support of each other.
I can’t say enough how unexpected and amazing this final installment of this series was. It had everything we have come to expect from an Avery Song book, I laughed and of course I cried, I definitely had a few cold drinks for the sexy and steamy times. But past all that the most amazing for me was the depth of love and commitment each of our team showed for each other and for their loved ones.
I was sad to turn the final page, but so very excited to learn that Brianne’s and the rest of the teams journey will continue. So don’t hesitate to one click this fantastic book, and be prepared to zone everyone and everything out! This book is a roller coaster of goodness that you don’t want to miss!
I can’t believe it’s finally here! Brianne and her guys last semester at Witchling Academy!
The Notorious Five’s last term was a roller-costar. There’s no wayBrianne and her guys are allowed to graduate Witchling Academy without tons of action, drama and lots of steaminess.
The Shadow kingdom wants their payback for everything they’ve failed to do thanks to Brianne and her guys. They will do whatever it takes to take them down and to stop them from graduating and getting out of reach.
I loved this book, it was filled with hot steaming romance, drama, adventure and realizations! Even though it’s a big book, it felt like the pages went by too fast and I could not put it down. Amazing early Christmas gift for myself! I’m super excited for Brianne and the guys future!
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
OMG this book is totally amazing!!! Bri and her guys are ready for their final semester at the Academy yet there are still a few things they need to wrap up before it is all done. On top of that they are still very much targets for the Shadow people adding new surprise twists at every turn. This all comes together in one explosive book that you will not be able to put down. There had been so much character growth throughout this series and the parts we were still waiting for finally happen. The answers to some long standing questions are also addressed wrapping things up quite nicely. My favorite part though had to be the guest appearance of the other girls form the prophecy as well as that fantastic surprise ending. A total must read series!! I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
This being the last book of the series, i wanted to really take my time with the story and enjoy the completion of this series. I have loved Bree, Jax, Connor, Finnick and Kaito from Brianne’s first day in the dorms. And this book did every thing i wanted from it. I was a little sad about this being the last book, but little did i know there will be a spinoff with this lovable bunch, so no goodbyes yet. I only have high praise for this book, this series, these characters and the author. The wait for the next beginning will be too long even if it was to come tomorrow. But i now have eight wonderful books to reread again.
Just stop reading my review, if you have time to read-Read the witchling books!!
What a way to end there last semester at witchling academy.
The book starts from where we left off, I love how avery has captured how the darkness in kaito resonates with everyone how we all struggle sometimes and how hard it is to ask for help from others.
The notorious 5 have one hell of a final semester but they get there, I have laughed I have cried I have almost thrown my kindle across the room. But this book certainly doesn't disappoint.
I cant wait to see how they will get on in the next chapter of there lives and finally get to see how all the books will come together its going to be epic.
The Spell Traveler Chronicles ends with the biggest, steamiest, most action packed installment yet. As the Notorious Five finally get all the pieces to the puzzle, and attempt to stop a catastrophe in its tracks, they are tested to within a inch of their lives. As the continue to grow physically, magically, and emotionally, each team member really solidifies who they are. There are plenty of feels, twists and turns, surprises, and reaffirming moments all told with excellent writing and a strong story. This series will stay with me, and the end was worth every minute invested.
a Splendid ending to the Spell Traveller Chronicle
I've read pretty much each book written by Avery Song and this book by far made me very emotional. Breanne, Jacks, Connor, Finnick, Kato has all strived to be their best and bravest in their final battle against the Shadow Kingdom. Truth reveals about old friends finally coming to light which made me so happy that there are happy endings to other characters. I'm truly proud of the Notorious 5 and I can NOT wait to see the future book in the Witchling Academy Elite
What a way to graduate from Witchling Academy! Brianne and her guys have been through so much and this book was no different. I love reading how they learn and grow from every moment between each other and every situation they encounter. Not to mention how as they grow together their relationships mature. The darkness they have to confront time and again and the help they find along the way. I have loved this series from start to finish and I can’t wait for Avery Song to take these characters further somewhere down the road.
Finally reunited with our nototrious 5 and life couldnt be sweeter.....what with the assasination attempts and danger at every corner....Bri, Jax, Connor, Kaito, and Finn are simply trying to survive their last semester at Witchling Academy and be left alone..sadly the dark forces have other plans for them and time is quickly running out....Sad to see this arc of the story end but cant wait to see what Avery delivers to us in the next leg of our heros journey and even better when all the femme Fatales of this group link up....Be careful men Girl Power is a thing to fear.
İ read a lot of books. Like way to many tbh, so I don't review unless the book really hits me. I'm gonna be honest. At first I wasn't going to read these books because the main was 16 and it is a set of reverse harem books. Yikes 16 is young! I am 100% glad İ took the chance, these books were so good. So inspirational even at my old age of 45. The growth, love support, amazing words this groups shard was so sweet and loving. I am 100% glad i read this whole series. Thank you Avery Song for these.💜
I have been and am completely and utterly addicted and in love with this series. The ending for this series was so much more than I could have ever imagined. I loved and enjoyed Bri, Jax, Connor, Finnick and Kaito so, so much. Seeing the journey, the growth and their relationships all develop and how deep it goes is truly amazing and I am so glad I got to read it all. They truly were they best. Really could not put down once I started.
The Notorious Five end the series in the most epic way possible. Witchling Academy has always brought to the table the best of the gang .We have been with them through the ups and downs that their lives have brought them. There has been plenty of moments that went places. Nevertheless Song wasn't done yet . This book will blow your mind. There is a lot going on that will take you beyond your wildest imaginations.
Brianna has come a long way since that shy 16 year old we first met in semester one. She has risen to the occasion time after time so it was no surprise the way she conducted herself in this novel.
The guys on the other hand gave us some good surprises that only enhanced the book in a good way that leaves you wanting more. The Five end things with a bang and I can't wait for future adventures with them. As this was perfect way to see them off for now.
I love the five of them learn and grow from every moment between each other and every situation they encounter. I love watching their relationships mature. The darkness they have to confront time and again and the help they find along the way. I have to say this book makes you feel the emotions and enjoy the victories. Absolutely amazing conclusion to this part of their journey. I cannot wait to see what happens now.
Amazing! The book was a brilliant conclusion to the spell traveller chronicles and has made me so exited for the witchling academy elite series. I love how it brought all the different universes together. Once I started reading I could not put the book down as for all of her series’s. It answers all questions from the previous books and shows them all at a strong and weak points combing together. It draws you in so vividly you can imagine you were there. Can’t wait for the next books!
Its a really good series. I really loved reading this series but the author has stopped writing in this series. The next book was on pre order but she cancelled it. The other books related to it have been pushed back at least three times now. I'm thinking she will cancel them soon. Its a sad thing I loved everything she's written so far but i'm not going to start another series of hers just to have it stopped.
Avery song has come up with the perfect ending for a perfect series. The notorious five have survived and successfully completed their last year at witchling academy. Will their be another series for them ? I sure hope so as I have grown attached to them .I loved the storyline and the characters so much. Great series!!!!
The Conclusion Of These Chronicles!😲💘🔥💥 Rather Long Winded.😕 (Read using Kindle Unlimited) Witchling Academy: Semester Eight (Spell Traveller Chronicles #8)
There is growth, truths, missteps & more in this conclusion. I felt it was rather convoluted & too long, personally. It turned out well in the end though.💘🔥💥
There was quite a bit going on in this book that left me going... "hold up, what just happened".. And I'd have to back track and make sure I didn't miss somthing.. You get to see all the girls from different universe which was pretty kool! And even thou is series is wrapping up her story still continues..
The final book in this particular series, and a fitting ending. Personally, I felt this book could have used more academy and less vacation and generic storytelling. However, if you’ve loved the Witchling Academy series, you’ll want to finish it. What a nice surprise that we’ll see more of this crew in a spin off series when they’re all adults and we can hopefully put some of the naïveté behind.
This has been such an adventure for Brianna and her boys. This book does not disappoint, there is so much going on. This last semester has the gang going on one mission after another. We have seen so much growth from this group of people, just seeing the maturity change from semester one to eight has been so fun to watch. I am excited to see what new adventures await them next!
This was a great read! We got to see the growth of Kaitlin and Connor, also the mysteries of Elijah, and some of the coming together of the ladies of prophesy. This book ends with a wonderful transition into the next steps and Silver Spell Solanges adult story. Whoooo- Hooooo!!!!!!
The time has finally come, the Notorious Five are in their final semester at Witchling Academy! This was a fantastic end to the series with twists and turns that keep you wanting more! I was with this series from the very beginning when she released semester one and it has been a fantastic ride. I cannot wait to read more about Bri and her men in Elite!
OMG! The most amazing book ever. This book by far surpasses every other book in the series. This book was perfect and a great way to wrap up this series. We have so many questions answered and some amazing interactions between Bri and her boys. I can't wait to see how it all continues. The crossovers and how things wrap up for this make this book an absolute must read.
Wow what an ending to an emotional roller coaster of emotions, growth and friendship.
Avery has yet again done an amazing job of winding plot lines together, concluding all cliff hangers yet leaving readers wondering when will the next series start.
The characters remind us that we all struggle in dark times and one must only reach out and ask for help.
